If you stay for the airport, don’t waste your money in this hotel. Airport hotels are much better. The room was smelling bad and there is any service. Even breakfast ends at 9 am and staff is not helpful.
Lovely location and very handy for Gatwick. Really beautiful building and surroundings. The food was nice however quite pricey for the type of food it was.
The food could have been better. Other than that I was pleased with the experience.
Booked this for convenience as picking family up from Gatwick and didn’t fancy a very early start. Wow what a lovely surprise, but more expensive than I would have liked but well worth it for the service and accommodation n
Beautiful old hotel, stayed in a room in the main house so leaded windows looking out over manicured gardens. Staff very helpful and efficient, room was very cosy and welcoming. Food was good if a little bit on the expensive side however probably due more to the postcode than anything else. A place to spoil your better half with a couple of nights of olde worlde charm. Stayed on a lovely late summer's evening so went for a short stroll back towards the main road and found a lovely old pub with a great beer garden so made the most of it, sat on a bench with a pint of their finest in one hand and the mobile in the other hand telling the better half just what she was missing - thankfully I'm a bit deaf in that ear!
Location - which you can't do much about. I missed it on the first pass and had to go round again as it sits, tucked away in beautiful grounds just off a single track private road servicing a number of large houses so as one drives down the track it feels like one will end up looking down the barrel of an "over and under" Purdey with a finger pointing at the "Private Property" and plummy voice saying " Can't you read?". Then you see the sign and turn in to the car park of said beautiful old hotel.
