10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house is immaculate decorated and kept. It has a feeling of loneliness as soon as you enter. Some places have that special feeling...Bays Guest House has it in spades.
Cons: It was all perfect. Cant think how you improve on perfection!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness, atmosphere, friendly hosts, good size and spacious light room.
Cons: Duvets on single beds were quite small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was in the perfect location, a short walk from the beach and the perfect location to see the Sun set. All the action was where we were. The supermarkets were a stone's throw away and the Steak and Grill Restaurant/Public House was a five minute walk, where we had a little drink. Anna, the lady who met us at reception was so helpful and accommodating, the perfect host and not too invasive. The room was spotless and had snacks which we don't usually see... Going back again in two weeks time. Perfect weekend...
Cons: It was perfect, could not fault a thing.
7.0 Good
Pros: Small but cosy room. Excellent breakfast. Close to beach, bus station and shops. Fabulous hospitality.
Cons: Room very hot and no view. No evening meals or massage available even though they were advertised on website. If these were not available they should not be on website (false advertising). I was particularly disappointed with this.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: warm friendly staff breakfast was plentiful
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The bedroom was good. Large and comfortable
Cons: Charmless manager and strangely disengaged staff. No body seemed prepared to stop what they were doing in order to attend to us. I stood for several minutes waiting to check in and for the manager to stop filling in the diary- he then turned to me and said ‘do you want something?’ Seemed very unwilling to allow us to see the rooms before we paid. Payment on check in. We insisted and with fairly bad grace he took us up many flights of steep stairs. No offer to help with luggage. I am very glad that none of us were disabled because the whole hotel is extremely inaccessible. Check in desk down a steep narrow set of stairs into a rather dank bar. I was with four friends and we won’t be recommending the hotel

Pros: Hotel very comfy, staff excellent very accommodating will return.

6.8 Good
Pros: Location was good. Parking available and close to beach and town centre. Late check in was facilitated. Rooms were clean and warm. Breakfast was fine. Staff I met were warm and friendly and helpful.
Cons: Advert said WiFi available which it was in bar but not in room. Phone signal was none existent too. These two things were sufficient for me to have left but it was late and had prepaid. Bathrobes were not towelling so not much use unless you were cold. No information about hotel, WiFi login (turned out was open access but I didn't expect this and found out from another guest) No one about overnight and no idea what would happen if any emergency. Breakfast started at 9 which seemed late even for a Saturday - I stayed elsewhere next night and was from 8. Realise this is an overly negative review and overall I am sure the majority of people were and will be happy however phone and WiFi were deal breakers for me and maybe for someone else in 2016 so it's just to warn anyone
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant staff and great atmosphere

Pros: Staff were excellent , close to theatre ,dog friendly
Cons: Bed a bit on the small side
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location was great. Rooms great value.
Cons: Just be aware the rooms face the main road that they like to show off their nice loud exhausts along.......
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The sea view was the best I have seen. We could see the sunset from our massive window, which was a foot off the ground with deep windowsills to sit on. I loved the cosy bed and the location was near to the red cliffs and the lighthouse and the chip shop... Perfect. We went to se the red cliffs at 8am and the beach was deserted. very romantic, like the World was ours...
Cons: There was an Irish bar across the road to the left of us that was a little loud until 1am. I thought it was the pub downstairs but it wasn't, that's how loud it was.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly, nice comfy bed, food really nice, brilliant, breakfast was excellent, will be staying there again. Absolutely

Pros: They accomodation us and provided safe storage for our bikes. Food was great.
Cons: Very bust when we arrived so took a bit of time to get checked in and find storage for the bikes even though I had checked before booking - bit of bad timing as we arrived when the rugby was on so the bar was packed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Me and my little dog were made very welcome. The location was excellent. The rooms were very clean and cosy plus the food was delicious! The bar area and fireplace was great! We have have already rebooked for August!
7.0 Good
Pros: Food was excellent.
Cons: Service was odd. Awkward and slightly negative greeting. Newspapers offered but not complimentary, an odd comment about our room being named after a lifeboatman who died in service. It’s a nice concept but came out a bit wrong! It was very hard to get dinner, I had to suggest we could eat in the bar, seemed an obvious thing for the staff member to offer but they didn’t. Appreciate weekends are busy but would have hoped for a bit more effort since we were staying. Bar and serving staff were very stretched. We were initially warned that food service would be slow. Which we were happy to accept given how busy it was. However there was a very lengthy gap between starter and main, which we had to chase up for. Breakfast service was also odd. Felt told off for sitting at the ‘wrong table’, when table was set. I ended up moving some butter, milk etc for our table so we didn’t have to move. I think if the intention is to only use certain tables then don’t set the other tables at all. And perhaps be less annoyed if people sit elsewhere. Some of the staff had a conversation right next to us basically moaning about people moving place settings. Think the focus needs to be more on customer service in general.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Characterful
Cons: Waited along time for breakfast. Staff very slow and not attentive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant Inn, warm and cozy, even during Storm Dennis! Fantastically friendly staff. Great room, apparently the best the Lifeboat has to offer. Lovely surroundings - did some fab walks across the salt marshes.
Cons: The food at our anniversary dinner on Saturday evening (15th Feb) was badly burned, the fish was literally charred, black and inedible. I sent both portions ( my wife and I had the same meal) back. We did not want a replacement meal, but preferred to draw a line under the experience and head back to our room. We received an apology from the waitress, which was promptly followed by the bill for the starter ( which was actually lovely) but I refused to pay for it, as our long awaited celebratory occasion had effectively been ruined by poor quality, hastily prepared food, which I found to be disrespectful, given the prices. The kitchen manager came to our table, shook our hands and offered us a free meal, on him should we return to the Lifeboat. This was a nice touch and one we will probably take him up on. However, a case of too little, too late as we were heading out of the restaurant by this point, having endured this rather embarrassing situation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our fifth stay at the lifeboat, we took our dog with us, The Lifeboat welcomes dogs which we love, he even gets his own blanket and bowl waiting for him in the room. Such a welcoming place to stay and really close to Brancaster beach which is amazing to walk dogs. Breakfast is fantastic and the rooms are super clean and comfortable. Can’t wait to return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It had a gorgeous fire, very cozy. Lots of gluten free options for me. Very close to lots of walks round the coast and the coast hopper bus. Perfect for us.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We have been before three times because I have dogs the area is also very nice and not to far for me.
Cons: I got what I expected.
7.0 Good
Pros: Atmosphere, the people and the food as well as location
Cons: The weather!

Pros: breakfast was amazing, about 12 dishes of fresh fruit. cooked breakfast large portions cooked to perfection. I can honestly say this is most unusual,I would not normally have fried egg,as so often it served partly cooked, but this and all other items tasty and just so nice. Dave was very welcoming when we first arrived ,then Anya ,so pleasant. We were also amazed at the cleaniness in our room and dining room. Everything was perfect. We could not say modern,or luxury, but luxury in the fact that all our needs were met. Lovely clean very comfortable bed,and little luxuries ,special touches. Even a box of things we May need. ,but have forgotten. Value for money is outstanding. A well run 4 star b/b. Dave and Anya should be so proud. Cons: nothing
6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was lovely. Dinner was overrated. We really didn't enjoy the dinner very much.
Cons: The room booked was described as a family room for 4 people. We were given a room with just a king size bed with a cot at the end of our bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Last min booking...the staff were fantastic..could not do enough to help..room was really big which was great the food was also great...excellent value for money and dog friendly in a separate restaurant which is a great idea overall 10 out of 10..
Cons: In the dog friendly room obviously a slight dog smell which is to be expected could do with a plug in air freshener...and kids cheese board needs lot milder cheese...only minor bits of feedback..would def stay again!!

Pros: Excellent Breakfast and very good staff
6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast selection was very good & well presented. The room was warm & comfortable. Lovely warm welcome
Cons: A shame that the serving staff were too busy talking to each other, rather than explaining to guests how breakfast worked ie help yourself to anything that you need would have been better after all this is a part of the role of being a waitress. The portions of food at dinner were much smaller than they used to be for example the battered Haddock came with crushed peas , but the portion was so small it was served in the same size shallow bowl as the tartare sauce, hardly a teaspoon of peas. The Sirloin steak had a large piece of uncooked fat at one end I know I asked for the steak to be rare but surely it's good practice to sear the fat. Sadly not the same high standard of food we usually experience at Caley Hall .

Pros: Lovely people lovely place. Perfect

Pros: Good welcome at reception on arrival. The twin room that my friend and I shared was comfortable with a sea view. Both bedding and particularly towels were of a very good quality. There tea and coffee making facilities, always a plus. The next door bar was available for food which was fine and well priced. Service in all spectacular was very good, staff were unfailingly charming and helpful. It was excellent value for money.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like and I would definitely come here again.
