9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with great service, a good choice and great food. The eggs Royale were spot on.
Cons: I didn’t like having to go back and forward for a teacup of coffee but then again I didn’t mention it and I’m sure they would have sorted that out. Our room was right at the corner and the traffic going to the ferry could be noisy first thing.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice location.
Cons: The room was so cold. And I got an illness due to coldness. The room had been able to change after I declared the coldness and an illness. But it had to be changed to more warmer room. Because the warmer room was available from the first place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and amazing and helpful staff! They helped me out with my travel plans, understanding the bus schedule and gave suggestions of where to eat in the area. I was lucky enough to be bumped up to a nicer room upon my arrival. They just seem like real people and they treat you as a real person, vs just another guest. If there's anything they can help with, they'll go the extra mile every time!
Cons: Not a damn thing!

Pros: Exceptionally friendly staff, well kept and clean facilities, and top class food. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Islay House has everything—spacious bed, deep claw foot tub, beautiful gardens, wonderful breakfast and dinner menu, fantastic whisky selection. BUT, none of these things hold a candle to their staff. They were the most kind and gracious hosts we could have asked for during our stay on Islay. Islay House is honestly one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We unexpectedly got a room upgrade to an exquisite suite with a beautiful view over the lawn and out to the sea. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful on things to see and do. The breakfast was delicious with a varied menu each morning. I would also recommend dining in; the food was amazing. The House is centrally located on the island so easy to access all parts of the island. We would definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to go back.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location and the view from our room were unbeatable. It's a good location from which to explore all that the island has to offer. The restaurant and the staff were great. The room and the common areas of the hotel were beautiful.
Cons: The restaurant is a bit expensive, and because the hotel is in an isolated location there aren't any other options nearby. Our room (Saligo) was beautiful but the layout was a bit odd (no door separating bedroom from bathroom). There was a crazy storm one night and we had a leak in the ceiling, in the corner of the room.

Pros: The host was absolutely amazing, Thomas made my stay as comfortable as he could. He even lit a fire for me the last night I was there in the common room. Pros: Thomas is an amazing host - welcoming, friendly, competent and extremely efficient

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We are so very grateful to Emma and Graeme for the most wonderful time that we spent at their house. They took such good care of us. Everything was perfect: from the first tea and cake that they welcomed us with to the last afternoon that we comfortably spent in the lounge (very generous tea and cake again!) long past the checkout time. They made reservations for dinner for us and took us back when our ferry was cancelled and called the port for us. Their breakfasts are amazing and stylish, Emma’s soaked fruit are to die for. We will for long remember our warm and cozy evenings by the fire place with tea (under 18) and whiskey (over). Along with the breathtaking views of Islay and Jura, the hospitality of Graeme and Emma’s family made our stay absolutely amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was awesome, food was plentiful and of excellent quality. A huge variety was available. Bedroom and ensuite shower were roomy and luxurious. Lounge areas were very comfortable and spacious. Hostess and Host were lovely people, particularly enjoyed Millie's tea!! Pros: The hosts Emma and Graem are very helpful and gave us so many advices. We were worried about to staying without car hired, but we managed with buses and taxi in February (we only visited 3 distilleries). The house is absolutely beautiful, from furniture to plate ware. We definitely recommend to stay Grenagedale house in Islay.
Cons: Everything was fantastic but If I’m forced to mention, the shower was very weak in our room at that time.

Pros: This is one of the best places I’ve stayed in . Food excellent. Warm welcome . We were even treated to a fiddle recital . Definitely a place to visit
Cons: Nothing . The weather perhaps but I’m sure Glenegedale could do nothing about that

Pros: Loved the place, Andrew is a great host, he met us as we were driving in, showed the parking spot, helped with the bag and greeted us with a welcome dram! The room was spacious with a huge and convenient bathroom. The room got a bit chilly during the night, but an electric heater was readily available in the room to solve this.
