Pros: I loved my room! It was so luxurious and spacious! The bath was amazing! Could sink right down and relax! Absolutely amazing hotel! The breakfast was incredible too! I mostly loved the fact I got tea cakes with my tea and coffee facilities! Huge brownie points to the owners!
Cons: Nothing, I LOVED EVERYTHING!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, varied menu, fresh produce, freshly cooked, served in beautiful dining room, overlooking grounds. Location was amazing, 20 minutes walk to beach, but set in tranquil setting, peace perfect peace. House was stunning as all the original features have been maintained. The view from our beautiful room took in both the sea and Royal Troon golf course. Elaine and Peter are the perfect hosts.
Cons: No negatives.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Friendly host and staff. Fabulous location Room was excellent clean well equipped.
Cons: Difficult to locate using sat nav. Would definitely recommend signage at entrance to lane if possible. No bar but not a huge concern.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had an amazing stay as part of a bike tour down Scotland. Elaine was happy to store our bikes safely, provided a warm welcome, great bathroom and shared room- on the plus side an awesome breakfast that exceeded our expectations! The llama and other animals were epic too.
Cons: All great!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is the nicest b/b we have ever stayed in! Lovely old house in spectacular situation facing Royal Troon and the sea. The house is furnished elegantly keeping the old features and has every luxury and style and comfort. set in large grounds and gardens. Even got an alpaca and shetland pony! We stayed twice on our journey to and from Scotland. The first time had a lovely room very tastefully decorated with interesting old features in bathroom and a wonderful bed. great sea view.all for £75! We'd have paid twice that willingly. On the way back we were given a suite-very large bedroom large sitting area another bedroom and all very luxurious. We were expecting to pay an upgrade but this was also £75. Fantastic!
Cons: nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything. The location is superb, the hospitality superb, the room was excellent, it was genuinely dog friendly and the breakfast was brilliant. Parking was easy and it was within minutes of the town centre and its amenities. A real bonus was the friendly Duke.
Cons: Not being able to stay longer!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic in every way! I will certainly stay there again. 😃
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The rooms are roomy with excellent facilities. The outside seating area is tip top with excellent service from the staff. Food was also very scrumptious and breakfast also. All in all an exceptionally good place to stay just wish we had longer.
Cons: Nothing at all.
Good 7.0
Pros: The service was really good. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was lovely. The outdoor seating was great as was the roof terrace. Good proximity to Troon.
Cons: The restaurant had a limited choice of food for my diabetic husband. Also the bar only seemed to be able to sell wine in one size of glass and had no ale at all.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Food excellent, staff friendly and efficient. Great location, lovely rooms. Very clean
Cons: Only minor issues music piped into corridors and we went to bed early and could hear the music.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was lovely staff polite , service was exceptional, have stayed here before with my mother , she just loves it , can’t wait to see what offers there is for future visits
Cons: The room size , good access for wheel chair users , and outside space was terrific
Excellent 8.0
Pros: We had a Deluxe room it was large very clean would recommend nice beer garden good Scottish breakfast a few minutes drive from the town and beach
Excellent 10.0
Pros: As far as dog friendly, the hotel staff were fantastic. Our dog was very much welcomed and looked after. From the doggy station on entrance, treats in the room, to the dog holiday leaflet informing us of local walks and dog poo bin stations. Personal touches for our dog was very much appreciated. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable with fabulous views. The food we had was delicious and well presented, there was a great selection on both the food and drinks menu. We will definitely be back!
Cons: The seating area within the dog friendly section could be more comfortable, a comfy couch or two, as the dining tables and chairs were quite formal and not as 'relaxed' as the main bar area
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good breakfast and lovely clean room. Generally staff very welcoming and helpful
Cons: A staff member on first day breakfast were rude and downright unhelpful. Staff on every other occasion made up for this by being an absolute delight

Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had 4 children, 5 years and under in the party so the playground area was excellent! We ate in the restaurant and the meal was delicious! Beautiful room. Brilliant location.
Cons: A soiled panty liner was found in the toilet bin, the rest of the room was spotless. Although the breakfast tasted great, there was a bit of a mix up due to the party being split in to different tables to meet Covid rules which led to a few delays.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast though prefer salt in the porridge. Got upgrade to wonderful room with big bath…delighted.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was lovely and the location was amazing as it was just next to the beach

Okay 5.0
Pros: ??
Cons: Bedroom had not been cleaned or bed linen changed, transferred to smaller room with no reduction, coffee cups stained at breakfast
Good 7.0
Pros: Breakfast was lovely with a good variety.
Cons: Didn’t like the worn out look of the headboard in the room. Not a good look ? Dirty looking !
Good 7.0
Pros: Been here a few times , it’s a nice hotel & the food is good & great outside area
Cons: Nothing it’s a great hotel & staff are great
Okay 5.0
Pros: Outside at area
Cons: Very uncomfortable beds and also rooms very very hot adding to it worst cocktail
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The taxi home
Cons: We were put in a room that I hadn't booked and had also been complained about prior to our arrival, I over heard a guest say they were in room 210 and then corrected herself by saying, "Sorry, we were in 210 but we asked to be moved". The room was absolutely stifling and was basically on top of the venting systems outlet which meant if we opened the window to get cooler air we were kept awake from the noise. We chose to stay at the hotel so that we were properly rested for the day ahead and it honestly ruined the day we needed to be rested for, I couldn't be more annoyed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location very good .10 minutes walk to shops ...breakfast was lovely and great choices
Cons: Better quality of fan as room got very very warm .
Good 7.0
Pros: The hotel is lovely and the staff couldn’t be any more helpful. Food in Logan’s restaurant is excellent and well worth a try.
Cons: The room wasn’t particularly big and there is no air conditioning. The room was absolutely roasting to the point where a fan had to be left on all night just to keep the room cool but even then it was still far too warm and uncomfortable to sleep.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff couldn't do enough. Breakfast was amazing and the hotel was cleaned to a high standard
Cons: The noise level at night from other guests

Good 7.0
Pros: Breakfast during Covid, great selection of everything continental all wrapped individually, very clean, staff very attentive.
Cons: Premier room bathroom needs a bit more attention to detail, mould in shower, cracked basin, shower could be warmer, curtain round window came loose difficult to close.
Good 6.0
Pros: Staff were lovely, old style hotel which i like.
Cons: Room was in an annex which i didnt like. Room was dated a bit shabby to be honest
Okay 5.0
Pros: The welcome and all staff were very pleasant and the location is great.
Cons: The breakfast was continental due to covid, the cutlery had thick yogurt like food on it and the breakfast bowl had cereal all round the rim so decided to eat out after informing staff. The rooms heating was not working so a small heater was put in it was still pretty cold, the kettle lid was dirty and the curtain was hanging off the top of the rail, for a SUPERIOR room at £110per night I would have expected a higher standard.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Only 2 staff members due to Covid however they were exceptionally accommodating a d made us very welcome
Cons: Nothing
Good 7.0
Pros: Location lovely walk along the promenade
Cons: The toaster and kettle at breakfast was manual use for guests. This is not ideal in the midst of COVID
Excellent 10.0
Pros: James was excellent
Cons: Little cold in the bathroom
Excellent 9.6

Good 6.3
Pros: Surroundings of the hotel were lovely.
Cons: We booked a double room through booking.com and on arrival we were given a twin room. This wasn’t what we expect as we were away for our anniversary. Common Curtesy would have been to call us and inform us on the change to our booking. The service wasn’t great, when asking staff questions about their own WiFi they were answered with “don’t know” just unacceptable. The light in our room didn’t work also so after a certain time we were forced to sit in darkness.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly helpful staff decided to stay a little longer and they sorted the booking straight away so we didn't have to mess round looking for other accommodation. We added breakfast onto the booking for £7.50 per person per day, there was plenty to fill your stomach. Enjoyed our stay and the grounds are nice and peaceful
Cons: Stayed in room 1009 and could not get a phone signal at all had no use to our mobiles at all, yet stayed in room 1003 and got a signal straight away.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The linens were clean and crisp and the room was spotless. There was a good range of dishes available for both breakfast and dinner. The food was hot and tasty and there was plenty to be had, any empty dishes or plates were quickly refilled.
Cons: They really need to think about updating the mattresses, the bed was comfortable enough but was a sprung mattress which did not give much support and was very bouncy. I could only find two power outlets in the room and one of those was taken by the television.
Good 7.0
Pros: Bed was comfy .breakfast was outstanding
Cons: The room was clean but hot water tap dripped all nite.cudnt get hot water in morning.wifi wasn't good. Didn't sell crisps to public but staff got them a family came in asked for them got none.no entertainment on .
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The area...
Cons: We booked a double room for a 1 night stay, arriving between 7 and 8pm with a request for a bath. I received a confirmation from the hotel saying this had been arranged. When we arrived, 2 members of staff were present. Receptionist and the chef. We were told the rooms were fully booked and they could only possibly accommodate for twin beds, being told by the chef to improvise and push them together. Then we were offered an upgrade but had to pay an extra £30 for the privilege. No breakfast included. We asked about a meal or room service, to be told by the chef who sitting there...it was finished 5 mins ago and no there was no food. We were advised to go to a local BP store for a sandwich. When we got to the room, it had not been serviced. Dirty toilet, dirty socks in a drawer, cup filled with cigarette butt's, 2 dirty glasses. No tea/coffee/ milk/ sugar, sorry 2 teabags. No cups. 1 handtowel and 1 bathtowel. No toiletries. The bed had been made however. The full hotel is unkempt and the evening staff basically could not be bothered. When I reported in the morning, the member of staff just sat and shook his head disparingly as if this was the norm. Seriously disappointed and can say it is the worst place we have stayed. A full refund or at least the upgrade cost should have been reimbursed for an error on their part. WiFi was free for 20 mins only. And you needed a telescope to watch the tiny TV with limited channels!
Poor 1.0
Pros: Veiws and setting was beautiful
Cons: Room was terrible, bed very uncomfortable to say it's basic is an under statement. No food restaurant was full , not even crisps or nuts at bar , they don't take card behind bar you have to go to reception to have ya card authorised and put money on , didn't spend the £30 I authorised on my card but they still took it .
Poor 1.0
Pros: The look from the outside.
Cons: Everything, like a step back into the 50s. The bathrooms my grandparents would think are dated. Like something for the war. Horrible beds, stupid tiny TVs, BOILING HOT ROOMS, smelly walkway, DAMP, no signal, extortionate WIFI prices. The list is endless, we checked out immediately and we’re charge for entering the room. Please do not stay here. Save you money and go stay somewhere nice.
Excellent 8.4
Good 6.0
Pros: The location and setting was nice . A bit far out of the way but that was okay .
Cons: The rooms could do with getting updated . Our room was not very clean sweetie wrapping and socks under the bed . Soap dish still had soap scum on it and hairs in the drawers . Food was not great but then we paid £10 for a 3 course meal so can’t really complain. Staff could do with being a bit more friendly and smile occasionally felt in dining room that they did not want you to be there. And when you spoke to them they did not answer back very rude . Don’t think we would stay again
Excellent 8.6
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Price. Location. Staff
Cons: The hotel looks tired in places
Mediocre 2.8
Pros: The building and the surrounding.
Cons: The rooms are poorly maintained. Most of the room are not in the old more beautiful part of the building which is shown in the photographs. I saw any people complain of their rooms during my stay there. The bath panel in my room was broken and some of the electrical switches were open in the room. This place is not worth any price and the hotel must be inspected by HNS.
