Pros: I just love the Dakota from the front entrance as soon as you walk in your are made to feel to feel so special
Cons:
6.7 Good
Pros: The room and overall establishment was clean and well-kept
Cons: The continental breakfast bar was depressing, stingy and barren. There were no hot items and certainly no eggs or sausage. They require you pay an additional 16 pounds (on top of already paying for the continental breakfast) for that. The 10 bite-size fruit slices they set out were ridiculous. The selection was incredibly limited and not filling.

7.1 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff, nice restaurant and bar, very comfortable bed.
Cons: The booking confirmation said that we can check-in after 2.30 pm. Arrived at 4 pm and our room still wasn’t ready. After 10-15 mins waiting we went to the room and found our bathroom dirty. The mirror wasn’t wiped and there was hair on the toilet seat moreover the housekeeper left one towel for us. The first day the TV didn’t work and the Bar Supervisor had to come up to our room to fix it. We couldn’t use the safe either as it wasn’t working.. We’re expecting so much more and left a little bit disappointed :(

Pros: We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very innovative with electronic check-in and room controls. We loved the shower! The food was delicious and staff were friendly and courteous. We like how the various spaces for relaxing, reading, meeting, and computer use sort of `unfolded' as we explored the first two floors of the hotel.

Pros: the room was clean and fine for one person
Cons: Wakened at 4am by other guests on the 6th floor and had to call in a complaint. Didn't sleep again which wasn't ideal as I was down in Glasgow for a business meeting the whole of Monday and felt really tierd. Not impressed!

Pros: Hotel was very clean and rooms are well organized.
Cons: Hairdryer didn't work. Provide bigger pull down tables.
7.5 Good
Pros: Eas clean and comfortable.
Cons: No tea or coffe facilities in room, that's a must.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean hotel with excellent facilities. Nice touches like the fold out tables. Has safe, hair dryer, sockets with USB ooutlets and nice white towels.
Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super clean, illumination, tech, distribution, different, centric and walkable, nice surprise!
Cons: Small, but it works perfect for what you need, it has everything you need.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The hotel is very new and fresh and the beds were very comfortable.
Cons: I don't think the heating system is up to scratch for a Scottish winter. I realise that it saves the environment not heating an empty room but when the tempreture outdoors is minus something the heating should be capable of warming the room quickly to a comfortable temperature unfortunately it wasn't. It was just eating up nicely when we went out for dinner and of course when we returned we were back to square one! Also the room walls and windows aren't as efficient as they should be at keeping out the noise of the city. The corridors don't seem to be cleaned on a regular basis whereas the bedroom was spotless.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Different experience with innovative facilities
Cons: No staff on call

7.1 Good
Pros: The size of apartment was good and the bathrooms were clean. The receptionist was lovely too.
Cons: The whole apartment smelt of Indian food as there was a restaurant beside it, there was no fresh air even when you opened the windows it made it worse. I didn't like that I paid £12 for breakfast for 2 people which was in the fridge.. microwave porridge and alpen bars is not what I would expect - they should tell you it's not an actual sit down breakfast, we left it in the fridge. The bed being a double was tiny, I did know this at the time of booking though so my fault. The apartment was a bit run down too. The fact that it cost £130 for 1 night but had to pay £250 deposit, pretty annoying.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal, close to George square and most restaurants and shopping malls. Clean spacious apartment.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious and well equipped. Comfortable and convenient for Glasgow town centre
Cons: Very noisy from local club in a glazed building in the courtyard below. Sounded like clobbers were in the room with us. Continued to 1am. Could have done with secondary glazing over bedroom windows
6.7 Good
Pros: Location is great in Merchant City. Good price in the car park very nearby. The apartment was big and the kitchen was good, although we didn't use it.
Cons: There was no coffee machine in the apartment. After asking we were given a cafetere at least. There was dust in the corners and on the skirting boards. It didn't feel so welcoming but after finding the heating switch it got warmer. The bathroom smelt stale. Don't order breakfast in case you don't like instant porridge, cereal bar, a pre-packed bun and a Capri sun. At least they refunded the money. Thanks!

Pros:
Lovely period building, great location travelled by train and used station entrance. The standard room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff could not have been nicer.
Cons: There was a bit of noise from town and station, but considering the location it was to be expected and cant see how the hotel could do anything about it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: No.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location excellent.
Cons: Room at front very noisy very early morning 4.00 am onwards with machinery/construction/cleaning. Number of the hotel areas tired - in need of refurbishment. Central heating not functioning with small electric heater provided. Breakfast is self service with a very small serving area making it crowded. Although the food was ok it consistently ran out and on day two no butter available until after breakfast finished (disappointing!)
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, and location great, bed extremely comfy, staff very friendly and helpful, and food of a very good standard, I would definitely stay again

Cons: The only down side to our visit was the rain, but that is outside the control of the hotel!
4.8 Okay
Pros: Bloody Mary’s were awful
Cons: Beds awful no mini bar in room and rooms very small and not nice

Pros: Location, clean
Cons: We were there during the hot spell and there were not enough fans for every room. Could only open windows a few inches
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Extra tasty potato scones and link sausage for brekkie. Lovely traditional room with modern bathroom. Amazing entrance lobby.
Cons: No advice/sign of where and how to use toast machine! Brown sauce was an unfamiliar taste.. A very long corridor to the room for oap and getting to breakfast room was bit of a detour... oh and scaffolders at the window was a bit of a surprise in the morning!
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is next to the train station and close to all transportation to get around the area.
Cons: The doors were very thin and the housekeeping staff started early on Saturday morning. It was very loud. The room was not very clean and the coffee was not restocked. The area of the hotel is a little bit seedy and very touristy.

Pros: The Grand Central is an older hotel that has been fully modernized. We loved the high ceilings and the grand staircase. We chose the hotel because we wanted to be near Glasgow Central railway station, and the hotel is essentially in the station.

Pros: Loved having a bath in the room and loved being close to the centre.
Cons: The room was very small and had no view. It would have been nice if they changed our bed sheets during our stay instead of just making the bed. It was our 2nd time here and i thought we would have had a better room for being loyal customers.

Pros:
Cons: No hot water on arrival.. Though I appreciate it was a random issue with the boiler. And an offer to use shower facilities else where was given if it was urgent though hardly what you want to deal with after a journey to your chosen destination. Breakfast omelette ( smoked haddock) though looked impressive was rather over cooked and dry. Not really good.

Cons: Being an American, I was unfamiliar with the....put your key in the box to make the electricity work...probably would relay to staff to make that clear to anyone who checks in. If your credit card isn't registered at the desk, forget about room service, just prepare yourself to go down to the bar to get anything ordered up...this would have been helpful information to know beforehand. There is a walk to get to the city center. Also a bar across the street where I witnessed an assault happen while I was out smoking a cigarette. No one seemed to be bothered by this in the slightest, but it made me leery of leaving the hotel at night.

Pros: Location, staff were excellent, rooms were spacious & comfortable
Cons: Breakfast was ok, for a 4 star rating the breakfast was poor. Prior to arrival I contacted the hotel & requested a assessable room with twin beds. I was told that my room would be suitable for an elderly person with a walk in shower and hand grips in the bathroom. Unfortunately my request was not passed on as promised. Upon arrival the receptionist had no idea what my request was (this was not her fault as she was not informed as promised), but thankfully she sorted the issue & all was resolved.

Pros: The staff were very helpful. The room was good.Breakfast was good.
Cons: We had a problem with checking in,but it was a very efficient member of staff which helped to put it right. The kettle in the room was faulty ,which was a very unpleasant taste to the water. The reception quickly replaced the kettle ,which was good service.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Close to the train station and not a far walk from some busy shopping streets. They validate parking
Cons: Room/ water had a smell of sulfur. The couch in the room had a visible white stain.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, river view room and we received a complimentary upgrade as it was my husband’s 30th birthday!
Cons: Nothing it was lovely
8.0 Excellent
Pros: My room had everything I needed. Location was pretty good and quite central. Clean and friendly, Nice Christmas atmosphere.
Cons: My room was very cold which I understood as it was -6 outside, but they did rectify it quickly by putting extra heaters in it. So was happy enough.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Located within walking of train station. Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast is not included in Odom rate but well worth paying for.
Cons: Thin walls. Could hear people in the next room. She was quite loud

Pros: Staff - all we're excellent and very keen to help.
Cons: The only thing was the view from the room, a demolition site, but this is very minor, it did not affect my enjoyment.
7.0 Good
Pros: The bathroom was nice and breakfast and dining area, staff were also great
Cons: The room felt quite dated, and decor wasnt as nice as I expected. The sauna and steam room were very small and disappointing. The duvet was also very thin.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fair price and good central location.
Cons: The usual, guests smoking close to the doorway and not always using the disposal bin provided Some sort of canopied area further from the main entrance would be preferable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, modern, roomy, great staff and good location.
Cons:
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful.
Cons: The decor of the room was very dated. Most of the room was a very uninspiring beige colour. There were no plug sockets near the bed. They were all at the other side of the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff and location were excellent.
Cons:
4.0 Okay
Pros: The lobby is nice and modern and the staff were friendly/helpful. Appreciated the free WiFi.
Cons: The room felt like a nice hostel, not a 4 star hotel. This location is 2 blocks from the nightclub scene so it was very loud with people shouting on the streets and cars revving their engines. The water closet was very plain and the toilet paper quality poor. There is no pool/whirlpool/jacuzzi. We booked this room at a discount rate, thankfully. Had I paid full price, I would not have been happy with the full-rate and the quality of hotel. This is more like a 2 star hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly helpful and kind reception staff. Very clean hotel, great breakfast, good position the hotel is a short walking distance from the city center, bus/train station and subway. Very appreciated more pillows supply in the room.
Cons: Water falls on the floor while having a shower, the water from the washbasin smells bad and as far as we are concerned the room wasn't warm enough. One of the bedside lamps doesn't work. There aren't electric plugs near the bed or near the desk. In the breakfast room a couple of waitresses cleaned the tables but not the chairs and they were very unfrendly.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was modern and very clean. Staff were also very friendly.
Cons: Gym facilities were advertised but no weights section existed. As such I was disappointed to not be able to do a workout as planned.
It would be useful to clarify this on the website I.e. Call it a cardio gym.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location, breakfast enjoyable.
Cons: Stayed in family room with pull down sofa bed. Bed was already pulled down on arrival. On folding up bed on Saturday night to make more room a massive wee stain was clearly visible on bottom of mattress, luckily the mattress had a protector on the top. 24hr service bar was not clearly explained on check in. Tried to order just after 12 midnight and was told to go downstairs to register a credit card (ordering room service is to safe you going downstairs).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well run, clean, modern, well located.
Cons: No issues.

Pros: Great location close to the SSE Hydro.
Cons: We booked 2 rooms and got one family room, with 2 king size beds, and one room with a very small double bed. We paid the same price for both rooms so would expect the same standards.

Pros: Very good breakfast, with times until 11:30, which was great, Late checkout time - midday. We appreciated this. Very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: The shower water didn't go hot enough.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fluffy towels, big soft pillows & comfy bed. Big T.V screen
Cons: Room very cold. No where to sit and apply make up and do hair. Very bad lighting in room. Not enough bar staff on duty in the lounge and they also were not very friendly compared to your breakfast staff who deserve 5*

Pros: Excellent location, facilities and friendly staff.
Cons:
7.1 Good
Pros: Comfy beds and clean linen. Quite rooms. Food was good!
Cons: There was no where easy to sit down and do your make up in the bedroom. There was a desk with a chair, but no mirror behind it. There was a mirror in the bathroom with good lighting but you dont always want to stand to do hair and make up. Theres a full legth mirror but no good lighting by it.
6.3 Good
Pros:
Cons: The rooms were outdated and could do with being re done
5.8 Okay
Pros: ThE bed was really comfortable. The breakfast food was very tasty.
Cons: The room decor was really outdated. Awful carpet, curtains. The furniture was used and scuffed. The whole room just seemed tired and needed a refurb. The bathroom was adequate but could of done with a new shower head. The size of the breakfast room was not adequate for the amount of guest wanting to eat which meant long queue and food running out regularly.

Pros: Price, location, breakfast, and being able to use the lounge after check out prior to my appointment, which wasn't for another hour.
Cons: I used the discounted parking arrangements with Q Car Park. I was given a map which was helpful but the receptionist told me the car park was on Jamaica Street. It is but the entrance is on Adam Ct Lane off Howard Street. Due to the one way system the car park must be approached from a different direction to Jamaica Street. It would have been helpful to know this.

Pros: clean, great location, staff were very friendly and facilities are perfect, just a shame they turned the coffee machine off in the bar, but plenty nearby places to hand
Cons: coffee even a vending machine, just cos bar turned machine off, but rest was fine
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great. The room was okay. The company was good.
Cons: The showers had almost no pressure but still doable. Just factor in extra time for slow flowing water.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location is great. Easy check in. Staff was friendly during my check in.
Cons: The staff during my check out in the morning was extremely rude and disrespectful. The mattress was terrible, could not sleep properly. I had no clean pillow and duvet on my bed, had to get random ones from the room. I would NOT recommend this place. Even though its cheap and I needed a place at the last minute, would not stay again at all.
4.0 Okay
Pros: There is a wireless charger and light for each bed and they are also around the bar. The Canadian girl in the bar was really polite and nice to talk to!
Cons: The mattress was extremely bad. It seemed old and I could feel the springs on my body while sleeping. It didn't have any mattress protector (as in many other places) to avoid bugs or stains from previous guests. Having a hostel that has bad mattress seems like a joke, you are literally paying to SLEEP somewhere and you cannot even get a good sleep. The room and bathroom were dirty, I found an old grape next to my bed which was disgusting. There was a dispenser for shower gel in the shower, but it was empty. Also, next to the sinks I am sure there still is a pint with a little bit of beer which was there for my whole stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location couldnt be more central, the staff are very nice and rooms are as good as you can expect. There’s a bar downstairs which serves breakfast too. I stayed at a private room which was amazing for the money I paid. Everything you’d expect in a Hotel room at third of the price.
Cons: It’s very noisy with the traffic and trains as well as loud guests in the corridors. I didn’t mind but don’t go if you’re a light sleeper.
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: The rooms are clean and tidy, I can't complain about that.
Cons: The bathroom light in the shower is motion sensing, but it doesn't sense your motion in the shower. So the lights turn off on you about every 2 minutes and you have to get out in the dark and make motion. Not the safest. Also the shower drained poorly so it would overflow if I didn't shut off the water. I actually had to switch rooms when I first got there. The first room had mosquitoes, and smelled musty. The place was cheap, but maybe too cheap.
6.8 Good
Pros: the beds were comfy enough, checking in and out was very quick, there's a bar conveniently on the first floor, and pretty close to city center and the train stations
Cons: the sinks were separate from the toilets, and situated so that if you turned the light on it would wake everyone up, breakfast was expensive and very limited, didn't have soy milk
7.5 Good
Pros: Rooms are very modern and good location.
Cons: Floor was very dusty in room.

Pros: Very friendly staff. Great value for money. Powerful shower.
Cons: No hairdryer, tea or coffee or toiletries in the room. Some of these available at reception though. Got stuck in the lift because my room card didn't work. It's a budget hotel though so you get what you pay for.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice buffet breakfast, was able to check in early

Pros: Room stinked dirty bedding and bad smell in the room , Disgusting room
Cons: Filthy room like a prison cell
6.0 Good
Pros: Easy parking, ok location for walking into Glasgow.
Cons: We didn't know that the free tea and coffee facilities weren't in our room when we booked, and only found out where they were by accident on the second day. Also, the cleaning staff were quite noisy on the second morning, which woke us up.

4.0 Okay
Pros: reception staff where friendly. especially the night before when I checked up on my booking.
Cons: Towels where thoroughly poor. Badly damaged, seams torn just a mess. The entry was dirty, the room smelled unclean. the covers where stained, there was a large hole in mattress cover. The bathroom shower / wet cell was useless the plug under shower had hair blocking it. The plug top was loose. I had tighten and clean out the trap a little, hardly any toilet roll and poor quality at that. Room was unfeasibly small. Lift was a mess. Just really poor

1.0 Poor
Pros: To small and toilet very small . Bed to small can’t even move for2 people. Have to pay extra WiFi also room very cold . Will not come back again
Cons: Cold room (Glasgow maybe invest in central heating) Felt damp Shower and toilet combo was smaller than the virgin trains toilet we traveled on
6.8 Good
Pros: Comfy bed, very quiet at night, 2min walking distance from Sauchiehall street, Buchanan street
Cons: Room facilities: bathroom inconvenient, no storage room
7.1 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: There was mould in our extractor fan which stunk the room out.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The price was what we were looking for.
Cons: The rooms were extremely small, almost claustrophobic. You needed to pay for every single additional item that you wanted. Pay extra for the remote, WIFI, towels, and even for your room to be cleaned. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable and I was afraid to even sleep in it because of the just general uncleanliness I felt in the room. This room is only suitable for younger couples or singletons with minimal luggage/baggage.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I like it but it’s alright for me.
Cons: I ain’t happy with the housekeeping not clean the room while me and my partner are out until later and got in the room and the room is not cleaning. Not happy with it. Also tv remote is rip off!! Only £5... that’s not good tho. Just saying
2.9 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: i really did not like it here. check in was okay but i’d say a bit steep charging £10 extra for early check in especially when we had a sink that didn’t drain, a toilet that wouldn’t flush, a shower that kept dripping despite neither me or my girlfriend using it, the room was absolutely freezing and neither of us had any idea how to make it warmer. the door for our bathroom was broken, looked like someone was trapped and had to hatchet their way out. i have told everyone i know travelling to glasgow to not book here absolutely horrible and the cheek to charge £50 a night.
7.7 Good
Pros: Simply furnished rooms, very comfortable bed and that’s good because that’s basically all there was in the room. But can’t be beaten on price.
Cons: Would have liked a bedside table.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice & clean, heated to a comfortable temperature, hot shower, really handy location near to the station, friendly staff who can organise your taxi easily
Cons: The shower cubicle is rather small, so the curtain sticks to you!
6.0 Good
Pros: Clean and quiet
Cons: Not much space in the rooms ! Need more hanging hooks etc
