Not sure I got the best deal. I rented through Kayak and was quoted a price. My CC got compromised shortly after ordering my car through Kayak. When I went to pickup my car at Sixt the agent wanted my CC used to rent the car. I asked why it was already paid. I told him what happened the the CC. He said he would have to cancel the prior reservation, and start over. When all said and done I feel the car cost was more than the orignal reservation. Did not want to hassle with it as long as I got refunded my orignal purchase. Six days later the refund posted. The guy at the counter was nice but the whole process did not make since given the car had already been paid and appoved. Any additional expenses should have been applied to the new CC. When checking out the rental no one walked through the car inspection. No way to document any damage observed prior to driving off. Also no option to pay for fuel in advance or at least it was never explained. Most agencies tell you the cost of fuel at the rental car and give you the option to pay in advance. Checking the car in the lady was friendly and inspected the car thoroughly same thing should be done initialy ensuring the leasee understands the features of the car. I had one experience where I failed to shut the drivers door completely and when I tried to to put the car in reverse it locked up and would go saying parking assist engaged. Spent 20 minutes playing with the car until i realized that the car would not engage because the door had not completely closed. I would rent from them again.

I was hesitant at first as I always rent from the older brands eg budgets / hertz however sixty’s price is good . Overall the experience is the same as the other old brands I recommend this place . Mahalo

Being required to buy extra insurance at the airport check-in kiosk before I could pick up the car was a real downer, and a bad way to start a vacation. Technically not "required", but being told that without it they would take the car out of service and charge me an unspecified daily "loss of use" fee while they corrected anything they determined was a defect (such as a car park door ding or a windshield chip) comes to the same thing.

We were "upgraded" to a Ford Explorer-too big of a car for us. We asked for something smaller and agent said she'd change the vehicle. When we arrived at the car...it was a Ford Explorer. We were tired from a long trip and didn't want to drag our bags back and wait in line for another hour to fix it. We took the car and then tried to call a few days later to arrange an exchange. Could never get through to a live person and got hung up on by the automated number 2x. Beyond this, agent kept forcing insurance coverages on us. We wanted the collision...she was relentless and literally forced us to buy more. We got tired of arguing with her about it. Will never use Dollar again.

Car was unavailable at scheduled reservation time online so I had to wait in line to talk with agent to get the car. Car was washed but all windows were still wet leaving water spots on all windows and exterior mirrors.

Had to wait 20 minutes for a mid size car since they were all out. Sales lady would only allow you to use a credit card with the driver’s name, not spouse’s name even though the reservation was made under me and they had already charged a deposit on that card.

Great service. We dropped off early before the shuttle service started so the manager drove us to our airline in the rental car so we did not have to unload luggage twice.

Deceptive and bad business practices. They claimed liability insurance was required by the state of Hawaii, which is false. It’s optional. This led to an additional 30 a day charge, that was unnecessary. Not only that, they overcharged me - for fuel even though I returned the car with a full tank and they charged me an additional day of the liability insurance. Don’t use ACE and don’t trust them.

There was no line at the rental desk and my car was already by the booth so I was able to check in and get in the car within 5 minutes! The lady who helped us with our booking was also incredibly nice and gave us some food recommendations.

Pick up was easy and the options for car selection was good enough. Upon returning the car rental, we were a bit worry as there was no enough people on site as we were told to just left the key inside the car and left. So make sure to take any dent/scratch/damages when picking up the car.

I was impressed with Hertz especially on pick up. The area had lost power and I thought we would not be able to get our rental vehicle because of this. Hertz was well prepared for this and did all the paperwork manually and pretty darn fast too. Very impressive.
