A room so small and with a window with absolutely no view (dark side of so closed building)
Room was bigger than I thought it would be (Lux suite) and had tea/ coffee making facilities - which I wasn't expecting. The heavy doors provided great sound insulation - I was expecting to be able to hear the cocktail bar below but couldn't hear a thing. Great location, staff friendly and helpful.
Only a couple of minor things - some instructions in the room for how to work the lights (not standard switches, but the lady on reception was able to draw me a diagram!). More choice on the breakfast menu would have been good - having said that there are plenty of places to get breakfast near by.
Nice atmosphere clean and good quality fit out.
Two pillows would have been nice.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we wanted something more substantial than a pastry. The decor and fittings are very good. Also everywhere is spotlessly clean. Staff are a mixed bunch but all are polite. The location was great as we had booked a local restaurant and were attending the Garrick Theatre. I asked for and got an extra pillow.
I just wasn't prepared for the tiny room. There was nowhere to sit other than on the bed. No kettle to make a tea in the room and no fridge to keep anything cool. This was my own fault as I hadn't read any of the reviews so not fair to blame the hotel. But just not for me.
