The Hollywood Historic Hotel was built by architect S. Charles Lee in 1927 and is a member of the National Register of Historic Places.This hotel is a true historical landmark in the heart of Hollywood CA, where the view from the rooms is the Hollywood Sign, and is only one block away from Raleigh and Paramount Pictures Studios.The hotel has had many famous guests from dignitaries, diplomats, and celebrities.

The hotel has been lovingly remodeled and reopened with modern luxury and classic grandeur. When the hotel opened in 1927 it was then called The Hollywood Melrose Hotel and used by many actors during the silent film era. All the rooms and the building have many of the original features such as the sinks, bathtubs, mirrors, windows, doors, stairwells, and even the large stained, leaded glass windows in the lobby. There are 62 rooms offering free Wi-Fi, 24 hour front desk service, large eastern king beds, and refrigerator in all rooms.

Pros (+) I loved the photos on the walls of the great Hollywood stars, the beautiful lobby area, the large refrigerator in our room, the complimentary water and coffee.
Cons (-) The bathroom was so small it required thought to maneuver.
