Overview

Close to the banks of the Rhone between Place Bellecour and the Part-Dieu business district, the Best Western Plus Hotel du Pont Wilson, Lyon, France, is a fully renovated hotel with modern decor, its rooms bringing an LCD television, a minibar, a safe, and air conditioning. Several junior suites add space and an open view over the Rhone and the Fourviere hill, a comfortable base for tourism or business in the middle of the city. The riverside setting keeps the quays and the centre within an easy walk. The Rhone embankments have become some of Lyon's finest places to stroll and cycle, linking Place Bellecour, the largest pedestrian square in Europe, to the parks and the confluence downstream, with the Renaissance lanes of Vieux-Lyon and the city's famous bouchons close by. Across the water the basilica on Fourvière watches over it all, with the Part-Dieu market and the Tete d'Or park close as well.
