Given that the Riad is only 1 1/2 months old it was overall a good experience. We loved the ambience, staff, decor & efficiency. The young crew you have are very vitalised.
No major issue but small little things which would help the RAID The bed - much too soft The bathroom is slippery & the separate loo without access to a bide or a bum shower was not a good experience The bedside lamp on one side was not functioning No tissues Not adequate plug inputs
After sightseeing of the crowded and noisy Marrakech city You enter the gate of the Calipau riad and You just hear the relaxing music and birds and smell of candles. You can chill at the swimmingpool or at the terrace. Rooms are beautiful designed, every day cleaned (the whole riad is very clean!) You get every day fresh towels. Hosts are extremly kind, You get a welcome tea and snacks. Perfect location, in a heart of Kasbah. Highly recommended!!!
The riad is stunning and very beautiful. Really nice space and very peaceful atmosphere.
No hot water 80% of the time or had to wait for 20-30 mins for the water the warm up. On the second morning we didn’t have any water (hot or cold) for a whole hour because they were doing some maintenance to the pool. I had to go downstairs and use the shared bathroom. There is a serious water pressure issue on the second floor. The staff were very kind and accommodating but the lady that manages the hotel seems new to the role. While we were waiting for our room to be cleaned she entered the room with some other people to show them around (while we are waiting). In the second room we had, she had ordered the walls to be redecorated while we were out for lunch so when we arrived back there was a man in our room drilling holes on the wall and everything was covered in dust. Our stuff had been moved while we were gone. It feels like they do whatever they like with the room while you are out. You shouldn’t touch and move personal belongings and you shouldn’t redecorate while you have people in the room. Finally, there was no door between the bathroom and the bedroom. You can literally see the toilet from the bed. This was very uncomfortable as one of us had to leave the room while the other one was using the toilet...
-location -decorations -pool -terrace -staff -room -bed The Riad is VERY beautiful.
-bathroom (shower did not drain water, broken rainshower, very old WC, no door between bedroom and bathroom) -not enough wall sockets -poor breakfast with a very small range of choices for the price payed compared to the other breakfasts we had all around Morocco for a much lower price They have just opened and all these drawbacks are likely to be solved. I am writing this in a constructive manner, so that they can fix these problems. I think you should give it a try because the Riad is very beautiful, well decorated and the staff is super nice and welcoming.
Beautiful riad with stunning pool and terrace. We had our room right next to the pool and we did not mind sounds around the pool during the night. The personal was very kind and welcoming. They might provide guests with some tips about Medina after arrival.
Located in Medina, this luxury riad is within a 10-minute walk of High Atlas, Saadian Tombs, and Agdal Gardens. El Badi Palace and Koutoubia Minaret are also within 1 mi (2 km).
