Riad Palais Calipau

The Pool was really nice, also if you don‘t mind walking the location was fine as well. Bed was comfortable. We could print our flight ticket.

The rooms are really dark so we got the opportunity to change our first room which was really nice. The first room was beside the pool where people could sit in front and smoke. The door had wholes so we heard everything. Every guest coming home and passing by. Also the room had big black furniture, a bit depressing without bright light. Our second room was in the first floor which was sooo much better. More privacy and quiet. The only two things we didn‘t like was no light in the shower and no warm water in the evening. So take a shower in the morning. Otherwise you have to run the water for 15 minutes and then you get a little warm water but no pressure at all. So sad running fresh water for so long. And also walking the whole day with 40 degrees and then not being able to have a quick shower was a little annoying. Also in the afternoon there was a little loud electronic music by the pool and young boys were drinking a lot of beers and had the time of their lives Breakfast was ok, the staff was talking really loud and showing each other loud music videos. So we couldn‘t really enjoy our breakfast all three mornings. To the manager Patrice, we think he should not work in tourism. We asked really friendly if we could change the room or if there are any possibilities. He was really hurt and just told us how he likes the room the whole time. He treated us like little kids. He sat in his room the whole day. Even when he left he just waved and didn‘t even asked the guest how they like their stay or just a simple bye would have been enough. We arrived late night so the night manager welcomed us. In the morning we went to the breakfast, Patrice didn‘t even greeted us, he was on his phone. It was not our first Riad, we chose a Riad for a really nice familiar stay. We made the nicest experiences in other Riads on our travel but not in this one. Patrice‘s opinion is that a Riad is not a Hotel, so guests are not allowed to complain and accept all circumstances.
