No bugs in the room apart from one giant roach. Microwave and fridge worked. The TV worked but it was the old-style box type on a rickety trolley which felt it would tip over when trying to move it. Window unit A/C worked fine if a bit noisy. Housekeeping was good - a boy came every day to clean the floors etc. Some brilliant restaurants nearby and in Arawak Cay.
The roof leaked on the first night during a thunderstorm on to my wife in bed. The ceiling looked like it was about to cave in. The roof was fixed the next day and there were no more leaks. Although in the main the room was kept clean, the shelves in the kitchen part were filthy, as was the fan and light unit in the main room. We had to ask for fresh towels a couple of times, and we found them grubby and still damp. There was a horrible septic odour which came into the toilet area when flushing, especially when it rained. To be brutally honest, this place is very run down and should NOT be advertised as three-star accommodation.
Lloyd the manager was great
Very run down, doesn't look like the photo on your website. Wasn't as close to the beaches as advertised.
The staff were friendly.
Room was a disaster. Roof caving in? Broken glass on the floor.
The biggest thing the Arawak Inn has going for it is location... it's very close to the restaurants of Fish Fry, which is why I chose it. The price is also very cheap for Nassau.
The place has an overall air of neglect and being run down. The TV didn't work, the office was always closed and I had to track down the manager for anything I needed. There was no phone in the room or available on site.
Being comfortable in the room
The bathroom is not designed for an oversized individual
