Room very small
The location of this hotel is undeniable. You have a lot of the lower east side at your disposal and a lot of cool stuff to do on your doorstep.
The rooms are tiny, the bed in our room was not big at all which of course is because there is barely any room in the room to start with. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a 5 day trip and there wasn’t enough space to have both our pieces of luggage open/unpacked. There are no drawers and no space to keep your luggage open, I don’t understand what you are meant to do with your things? There is space and hangers to hang about 5 things, that’s it. The lobby bar is lovely but gets full with outside guests every single day meaning it’s impossible to physically have anywhere to sit if you wanted to sit down and chill somewhere with a little more space. This is generally the case at whatever time of day it is sadly. The cost is high as is everywhere good in New York, but I’m afraid the Ludlow is drinking it’s own coolaid tbh. It’s not getting the basics right, the staff should have moved the chair that we placed near the door out so we would have space for our luggage, but didn’t, meaning we were never able to comfortably open our door and easily move in and out of the room. The amenities are nice but nothing to write home about, unknown brands that aren’t particularly special, odd for a $500 a night hotel. All in all I won’t stay again.
Food was not included on my booking. The waiting room was large and inviting
Industrial modern vibe with the bathroom of my dreams. Everything was so comfy and had just the right amount of luxury to it. V central location
I thought the room would be a teensy bit bigger
I've never written an online review before - this hotel exceeded alll expectations based on what I saw and read on their website. It's a beautiful site, right in the middle of everything on the lower east side, and the staff are truly outstanding.
