Pros: every detail is perfect. staff highly qualified, very careful and efficient. Great great place!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the hotel and its rooms had everything and were impeccable.
Cons: The only thing I did not like was that during the night fruits from the trees fell on my room’s roof scaring me at first not knowing what the pounding came from, and waking me a couple of times after!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location Excellent staff Nice and friendly people; really helpful in the lobby. Especially Kereynje in the concierge department
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was fresh and tasty. The wait staff was phenomenal! It was an amazing experience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: World class. A beautiful property with everything you could want. Take the time to look over their website.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Excellent
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, nice beach and pools
Cons: It is quite expensive to do anything at the resort. Loud party music playing at all pools/beaches which is not always that relaxing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was like a cloud... everything was definitely 5star service and the golf carts were an added bonus
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breath taking views, gorgeous architecture, great food and drinks at reasonable prices and quiet and beautiful beach.
Cons: There is a new bar at Altos the Chavon that is very loud and club like with very loud reggaeton music that takes away from the view and the tranquility of the place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful place and great staffs
Cons: Too pricey be prepared to pay heavily on everything
9.4 Excellent
Pros: My last visit to Casa de Campo was 25 years ago and I was thrilled to return and find it: Impeccably managed; great staff...uniformly warm, professional, highly competent and highly responsive; great facilities...especially the beach club/pool/restaurant; great sports; wide array of surprisingly good quality food choices. Before our trip I read reviews that warned to beware of billing issues such as double charging and charging separately for items outside the “all inclusive” plan...and I am happy to report that billing was completely accurate with not a single discrepancy! Well designed, impeccably clean and well maintained rooms were a solid 4-4.5 stars and need just that little something to get them to 5 stars.
Cons: Only real complaint was the room air conditioning that I think uses “evaporative cooling” which results in a slightly uncomfortable humidity level in the room...and the configuration of the air conditioning diffuser/vent that resulted in a real blast of air that caused a mini-draft when activated.
Overview Reviews
This Ramón Santana property is on the beach, 5.1 mi (8.2 km) from Cueva de las Maravillas National Park, and within 12 mi (20 km) of Cave of Wonders and Estadio Tetelo Vargas. La Romana Port and El Obelisco are also within 20 mi (32 km).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is always very friendly with big smiles and willing to try and help. The grounds are beautiful and always well maintained. Beautiful pool areas and areas to relax and take in the sun.. The food is delicious, lots of variety even with the large buffet not being open. 24 room service is always an nice option for a late night craving. Even when not running at its best, this is still one of more enjoyable resort selections I've made and will continue to be a patron in the future
Cons: They ignored the birthday requests for my significant other.. Little effort put in to make her feel special on her birthday. They ran out of dessert at 1 specialty restaurant after long waits for each course. They were not running at full capacity as told by one of the staff, so the main restaurant buffet was not open at all, which was very disappointing because that is one of the highlights of the resort. The other restaurant buffet available are nice, but don't compare to the main buffet. THEY NEED SYRUP DISPENSERS .. Using a tea spoon is messy and not efficient.. Long lines as people try to get syrup and other condiments for breakfast. Very easy fix imo. To much sugar added to the orange juice and other mixed drinks at breakfast, I often had to dilute with water and I have a considerable sweet tooth. They normally have more beach beds available, but only 2 out of 4 where available
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The territory at the hotel is just amazing. If you like jogging, you’ll be amazed of the territory and routes you can choose for the run. Food was super variable and great choice on seafood. I managed to visit all a la cart restaurants and they were all pretty good (in case you want to get to all of them, book in advance). Rooms are spacious and cleaned twice per day. Beverages are good, my fav was bar by the main pool. Overall I enjoyed staying at this hotel and may consider coming back.
Cons: Staff was a bit pushy, to tell the truth I don’t really like when every hour someone is trying to make me take part in some activities. And this was the case. Long story short they were all nice and friendly. Sea is not what you may expect in Dominicana. Not that blue aquamarine colour, but it was super clean. Staff was always cleaning the beach. Gym - is so small and there’s bed ventilation so it just better to workout by the beach or somewhere in the golf field. Excursions are a bit expensive but they were good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality of the staff, especially Carlos at jacuzzi pool, & Jonathan at Dalia's buffet restaurant. Great food choices and room service. Met alot of friendly people. We also enjoyed going next door to Grand Bahia La Romano, impressed with the beautiful grounds.
Cons: Bed very firm, hurting back by the morning. We also could not get dinner reservations without being persistent, so we did not get to try different restaurants. The 2 we went to were half empty so I do not understand why there was no availability.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Food was great and all the entertainment shows as well.
Cons: Staff took almost 2 hours to set up our room. Our toilet had problems. I only saw one pool table and I think there should be several.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Internet while free was spotty.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is very clean
Cons: We lost one towel and they treated us like we stole it and reminded us that there will be a charge, only after I stood my grounds they replace it only to find the towel the next day. Also we didn't like the beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing to dislike!
6.5 Good
Pros: The rooms are big and we always got a bed on the beach, lovely water, plus beach club along the way I was worried about the river mouth close to the beach but there was no tell tell of anything but clean water in the sea ie paper plastic etc The hotel has a taxi firm on site and it was cheaper to use them than book online (130 us to puj )
Cons: drinks with meals:- lucky to get coffee with breakfast and if you could get a glass of water with lunch or dinner you had done well forget any wine. If you go across to the la romana side (cheaper side) its drinks all the way beer/ g&t the lot but you got to put up with the kids ! The bars at the hotel reminded me of a funeral wake i once went too and if things where bad it got worse when they held a silent disco one night i realize there are rooms opposite the bar but they shut at 11PM anyway
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool area was lively and fun. The staff was super attentive.
Cons: The actual beach isn’t that nice. There were lots of jelly fish in the water
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful. Lush landscaping and laid out very well. One quiet pool and of course one loud party pool. For beach lovers, There is not a lot of beach area right at the property, but a short stroll along the beach leads you to another infinity pool, bar, chairs with umbrellas and an area to swim and snorkel in. Our all inclusive arm bands were welcomed. It was much more relaxing as it was not widely known about or used.
Grand Bahia Principe La Romana - La Romana - Bedroom

Overview Reviews
This Ramón Santana property is on the beach, 5.1 mi (8.2 km) from Cueva de las Maravillas National Park, and within 16 mi (25 km) of Cave of Wonders and Estadio Tetelo Vargas. La Romana Port and Playa Minitas are also within 25 mi (40 km).
7.4 Good
Pros: Staff in non managerial positions are excellent. They really make an effort and Bahia Principe should acknowledge this. Head chef (Spanish) is brilliant
Cons: Alcohol is cheap and bottles of premium are refilled with cheaper brands. Management staff medicore Animation is poor although staff do their best. They have a time share sales house which is really absorbing and can ruin a holiday
6.3 Good
Pros: Buffet was great
Cons: The hotel was extremely noisy. I asked many times to get quiet rooms as we are crew and needed rest, and we got the ones just by the bar. Unbelievely loud at nights, therefore so disappointing. Also, one of my colleagues had cold water only in his shower.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Smell of sewage in the room, the safe not working in the room, the phone not working in the room for ordering room service.
7.5 Good
Pros: location, land and food
Cons: the building must be renovated, you have to invest in modernizing the rooms and better train the service staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The resort is beautiful! Total 5 star and the food was amazing. The multitude of staff was very friendly as well. Can’t wait to go back!!!
Cons: The beach was somewhat eroded and lots of seaweed
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very courteous & friendly.
Cons: WiFi could only be used in the lobby area unless we paid $9 per day per device. The ATM had a great exchange rate but the fees were extraordinary.
6.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful weather.
Cons: They scammed a round trip to and from the airport. We prepaid $291 for a private car and never got the car. We had to secure a taxi for $ 160 roundtrip. We now have to try to get the money back from Amex.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The staff, food, clean, facility was excellent. Staff Jean Carlos, Rosi, Mateo...everyone was extremely nice. Excellent service.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The resort is quite pretty. The pool is very nice. The rooms were large and comfortable. The entertainment was good enough, very resort formulaic. I really enjoyed the open square across from the resort (still a resort property). It was a nice open airspace for evening entertainment. Though it was a family friendly resort there were not many children around, which was fine by me. We were there during spring break and luckily the college kids had not overtaken the resort.
Cons: The food was not that good. I have been to many resorts. Overall the food was average at best. On a different note the water (ocean) in front of the resort was not clear. It looked more like cloudy lake water. That was very disappointing. The cost of transportation to the resort from the Punta Cana airport was very high. After some negotiation, the best I could do was $120 USD one way to and from the airport. So we spent $240 just on two taxis. That was far more than I have ever paid for a similar distance in other countries.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved absolutely everything from the food to the rooms, to the beach and the amazing workers. I would especially like to give a shout out to Cocodrilo and the rest of the entertainment team for making me and my family feel at home and like family. You guys are awesome!!! I will definitely be going back very soon.
Cons: I have no complaints whatsoever. I loved everything about this resort.
4.8 Okay
Pros: The Spa is great and Inmaculada, one of the massage therapists, is the best!
Cons: The quality of service from the staff was poor for a hotel that claims to be 5 Stars. It is not a 5 Star hotel, it is a 3 Star hotel. However, I do give credit to the few staff members that are truly dedicated and helpful. Also the drinks were awful, and the beach/pool were dirty. We were told that when the river joins with the sea, it makes the beach dirty. So depends what time of year you visit. You may encounter a dirty beach.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The beach and the outdoor area. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Old furniture in the room and the bathroom, air conditioning is too noisy and definitely old.

Cons: Unexpected and not advertised overcharge for a per person resort fee totaling 10% more of agreed rate.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Don't know
Cons: We didn't like receiving a call on our way to the resort and being told that there was a mistake and that there were no rooms available because they were sold out. This was on our way to the place so we had to head back home. This after my card had been charged and the booking confirmed, now I have to wait up to a week to receive my refund. This is totally unacceptable in my book.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: the property is very nice and well maintained. It is relaxing
Cons: I had two problems. First I arrived and they did not find my reservation, so they lasted more than an hour and a half to give me access to the resort. Then in the services they offered, that they included a breakfast. We never got breakfast. I tried calling the host 3 time and he never answered it.

Pros: It was a great stay. Employees were very nice and carring. I liked all the activities they had. It was perfect for what we went to do.

4.8 Okay
Pros: Being on the beach .
Cons: overpriced for the food and service . Our special valentines dinner which cost extra got ruined by their poor service and there was no compensation. The people who book excursions just want to sign you up with some kind of activity and forget to tell you details . Most importantly poor English so lack of communication

Clean, perfect view to the sea, excellent drinks and food, super nice conversations and support in all questions we had. it was much more as we had expected. The village was nice and travelling with the local buses worked without any problem. The local beach is only a 10 minute walk away....

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food.
Cons: All well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was so accommodating, local tips and knowledge of the area - but most of all, the Villa
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Enjoy a good wine with sunset view and maybee some barbecue chicken?
Cons: Finding the place without navi was a little difficult, but second time it's easy.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The accommodations were clean, safe, and you can hear waves crashing outside your window. The rooftop terrace was the reason we booked this space and it didn’t disappoint. Frank is extremely kind, helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and dedicated to making sure you enjoy your time at his home.
Cons: Because of our flight times, we were not able to rent a car, which made staying in this spot more difficult and expensive than we expected. Fortunately, with Frank’s assistance, we found a trustworthy taxi driver and so were able to move around knowing we were safe. Unfortunately, that workaround blew our budget. Having a car would have made this spot more ideal but we still managed to enjoy it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Frank was a great jhost and a lovely bed and breakfast environment
Cons: Somewhat difficult to locate. There needs to be more signs.
10.0 Excellent

Owner can make breakfast or coffee for you just for few bucks. We clpan say, that we really felt there like at home.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place
5.4 Okay
Pros: The Silvestre is a nice small hotel, but it does have kiddies & adult pools, again small but adequate, it does have 24 hour security, very necessary, it is kept very clean , but that is it, one restaurant for breakfast and all meals, outdoors poolside OK. Free WiFi , fairly good connection, does drop and not speed we are used to.
Cons: This is the only hotel I have ever been in , where there was no kettle, milk & coffee supplied in the room, for that wake up cup , sink and fridge freezer supplied, but why, no utensils, cutlery or crockery. I chose hotel for its location suited me, but it was twice the price of others, and not even B&B, I will find a cheaper with B&B in future, I will not return, but find a better VFM , and spend more on taxi fare for my needs, needless to say, when you pay for breakfast, even at end of serving time, they have no change, even after 10% extra charge on bill
5.8 Okay
Cons: The room was not cleaned after the first night.
