10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting is idyllic, beside a lake and away from the bustle. The house is charming and comfortable with many shared spaces for sitting and relaxing (including hot tub and giant chess set). The hosts are amazing - so friendly and accommodating. When I enquired about local restaurants and found they were all closed (out of season), they prepared me an amazing meal of pork a la creme, with delicious escargot to start, with lovely cold Belgian beer from their well-stocked bar. Afterwards, we chatted about languages, Europe, and Canada and had a wonderful evening.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: We stayed here after our first very cold and wet day doing Le P'tit Train du Nord and we couldn't have asked for anything better. It is very close to the trail. They had a secure place to store our bikes, comfortable beds and steaming hot showers with pressure to knock your socks off. Breakfast was delicious. Best yogurt and bread I've had in a long time. And last but definitely not least, Heiko was fabulous and the highlight of our stay. Thanks for all your kindness, generosity and humour.
