8.3 Excellent
Pros: location and food
Cons: room size
8.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was exceptional , specially the sitting to have good view. We enjoyed our stay. the gardens were too good. i have request the change of booking date & special thanks to Jaeysha for accommodating the request promptly
Cons: the bathroom was giving a too old style & needs to b improved.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The building is the only value addition.
Cons: To have a meal atleast need to spend 3 hours. 15 mins to get the menu card. You have to raise your hand for 15 mins each time you need a waiter. All the waiters will pass the message to another. Maybe they have tooo much of grade levels. So they always pass to next level. Its terrible to see. Worst experience ever.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Just location and hotel gardens
Cons: The furniture is a bit old and very smh room not matching 5 stars hotel very expensive for no reason
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The gardens and setting.
Cons: Rooms could do with fans.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Charming old hotel
Cons: Warning for LGBT travellers: prepare for some heavy discussion if you insist on one bed for a same sex couple. Had we known this in advance, we would have booked somewhere else as it was an unpleasant start of the stay.
Ferncliff Bungalow - Nuwara Eliya - Building

Overview Reviews

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing property and a great team who manage it. We were very well looked after. All the very best to Dinesh the Head Chef and property manager who pours his heart out in every dish he makes!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel and old building. Chef Dinesh takes amazing care with his team and makes sure everything is alright. We really felt like at a family. Food also amazing and we even got breakfast at 5am before our departure to words end. Can only recommend this place.
Cons: Nothing at all only watch out that prepayment is stated at booking but they don’t charge in advance and you have to pay at check out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying at Fern cliff was like stepping back in time and staying with colonial friends. Behind secure gates, our taxi swung into the driveway pulling up in front of a covered porch which was just as well as it was pouring with rain. Bernard, the Manager, welcomed us with ginger tea and homemade biscuits in front of a roaring fire. Our room was huge and comfortable. The highlight was however dinner in the elegant dining room. Again in front of a roaring fire. A delicious choice of either western or Sri Lankan home cooked cuisine. Breakfast was similarly delicious. The perfect place to break your journey between Kandy and the highlands.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Whoever restored this heritage house deserves an award; the building is charmingly old world with all the perks of present day and an immaculate garden. The food was top notch as well. Ask for a surprise dessert!
Cons: The credit card reader was broken and I barely had enough cash to cover the slightly high prices. Also, none of the rooms were ready on time and we had to wait a while at check in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service and food, and room~ strongly recommend for stay.
Cons: I booked a full board room but in fact it should be half board, which is a mistake from booking.com.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds and gardens , hot water bottles in the beds after dinner :)
Cons: It’s very dark inside.. not a lot of natural light.. def feels like your back in England in the cold weather with high teas and English fry ups on offer by the fire place.. would t stay more then one night but that’s personal preference. The staff and food was all very good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was so great, attentive to all of our needs. He also made us visit the rest of this family house. The history of the whole family tree made the little difference. We were staying in a real house as opposed to a chain hotel. I would recommend a 1000 times for a nice quiet trip.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very helpful staff, kid friendly, great garden to unwind. Unlimited tea / coffee!
Cons: Food choices could improve especially breakfast / dinner options
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was wonderful, very welcoming and the food was delicious!
Cons: The room and the house overall was charming, certainly shows its age!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff so friendly and attentive. Food absolutely delicious. Cosy and homely setting. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Heritance Tea Factory - Nuwara Eliya - Building
3
8.9 Excellent (1,640 reviews)
C$ 394+
Overview Reviews
Where else in the world can you stay in a converted tea factory, pluck your own tea and take it home with you as a souvenir? At 2km above sea level, the views over our lush green organic plantations as the sun mingles with the mist are truly unforgettable. Enjoy them as you tuck into high tea on the terrace or a delicious tea-themed menu in the restaurant. Welcome to Heritance Tea Factory, where the kettle is always on.
5.0 Okay
Pros: We asked to move rooms because we were immediately above the dining room with a very loud live band - we were moved without hesitation
Cons: Hotel has a strict dress code for dining and makes a big deal of it, yet the rooms are a little shabby. Check out process was unclear - we needed an early checkout and were advised someone would be available at the agreed time however this was not the case and the security guard was the only person there. He did his best but was unable to locate our invoice: pretty average for a hotel costing US$400+ for the night
6.3 Good
Pros: The restaurant is excellent. Best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The waiters in the restaurant are fabulous and cautious. Decor of the hotel is also quite amazing and involving. Unfortunately the weather was foggy so we couldn’t appreciate it but one can tell that the view is for sure amazing.
Cons: Client service in the restaurant is not followed by the reception officers. Unfortunately these showed no patience nor availability to help solve clients’ problems and doubts. Each one provided us with different, confusing information, that had to be squeezed out of them, due to their lack of will to help. The consequence of this is that we literally lost one day of our honeymoon waiting with our bags in the train station after being left there unattended. Quite a shame, even more when this hotel chain is known to be very committed to client service. Please take good note that the hotel is one hour away from the train station and from Nuwara Eliya. Concerning the room it was ok but a bit old, with a rather noisy heater and a bath tub one must climb to get into (dangerous especially when leaving the bath).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Yes the property is remote, miles away from Nuwara Eliya up the mountain, bear that in mind when booking. However, if nature, breathtaking views and peace you are looking for, this is the place. Food was acceptable, nothing to write home about. Service we received was exceptional. The hotel is like a living museum and activities on offer keep you busy. Rooms are very dated, carpet must be about 20 years old, from when the factory was converted BUT beds and bedding were heavenly, that’s all I care about and the views are stunning. Overall i loved my time there and would recommend staying at least 2 nights. Morning nature walk is a must and tea plucking experience.
Cons: Mediocre food
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It’s gorgeous
Cons: The drivers have a lot of organising to for train tickets to Ella and Kandy and they have no Wi-Fi. It would make everybody’s lives easier if the drivers could have a sitting room as the place is miles from nowhere - and were given access to Wi-Fi. They have no meal choices and are fed chicken most nights. Our driver hates chicken . X Why don’t you make life better for the people who bring your guests to you! You cannot survive without them!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, the place is interesting as it had many activities
Cons: There was music until 10pm coming from the restaurant, the reception personnel that handled us was not that friendly, he seemed confused most of the time.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Interior is a very interesting. Dinner is a delish, although breakfast is not that good and coffee is awful. I liked the view.
Cons: A bit lasy staff for a 5-star. Had to carry my baggage few times and case them to buy something in the store. Also the road there is really rough and their taxi prices are 3 times higher. And there's actually nowhere to go besides small garden and tea bushes
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing conversion of a tea factory into a smart and comfortable hotel.

4.2 Okay
Pros: The view and few member of the staff
Cons: First night i got there I saw stains on the towels in the bathrooms. Then, realised that the water temperature & pressure of the shower fluctuated a lot, could not take a proper shower in 3 nights. Third, the food is very limited every day breakfast lunch dinner you eat the exact same thing, few options and way over priced as you don’t have any close restaurants to the hotel. Food stops at 10pm and there is no 24h food service. I rang several times to the reception and no one answered, they are clearly way under staffed. On top of all of this, the SPA was not operational for some reason. Would not recommend it as it is not a 5 star hotel, nowhere close to being one. First and last time for sure.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is really nice and the swimming pool was warm !
Cons: The service of the breakfast was really long ! They took 25 min to serve a cup of tea !
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: The television was not supported usb. There was a delay in suppling food.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Not worth for the money in facylitys and so far from the city they say the luxeary hotel staff and looks like trainers
1.0 Poor
Cons: They had overbooked the hotel and didn’t have enough rooms so downgraded us. The rooms were not clean, someone’s hair was left in chunks by the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, very elegant. Super staff!
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Bad please bad smile in the room small summing pool
7.5 Good
Pros: They got a nice garden full of lovely roses.. Surrounded by tea estates, you get a picturesque view of Nanu Oya and winding A7 road, provided the weather isn't too rainy or too misty.. The hotel resembles an old English mansion, and the electric fireplace is simply delightful..
Cons: The food certainly has much room for improvement, since its quality is not worth the exorbitant price.. Front desk staff were trying to attend to guest needs, but there was a big disconnect between them and the minor staff.. The pool obviously had not been cleaned, let alone heated.. Perhaps this complacency owed to the fact that no one ventured out in the rain.. Tap water was adequately hot in the evening, but completely lost its temperature by the morning.. Considering the fact that morning temperature in Nanu Oya is around 15 degrees, a consistent supply of hot water will be much appreciated.. I dunno what exactly was going on, but there seemed to be some privileged guests.. A certain couple seemed to get a special treatment at a cozy nook of the restaurant, where no other guests were allowed!!

Pros: This place was recommended to me prior to our stay. And I can see why! It is absolutely beautiful, comfortable with awesome staff! My family and I stayed there for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it - from the wonderful gardens, view out to the surrounding land and mountains as well as the fantastic staff that looked after us in the restaurant. My 7 year old daughter even had a drawing personally created for her by one of the guys there..... I can thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for something cosy, clean and with colonial charm.
7.0 Good
Pros: The panoramic view is the best which took my breath away ❤
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: Welcoming staff
Cons: In booking.com it says the hotel is only 1.4 km away from Gregory lake. In reality it is more than 10 km away. Also, the service charges are around 20% of the rate you get in booking.com This is crazy and too much

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous old property
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were there for you.
Cons: The staff needed to aquatint the guests with info. Re the use of shower, heater etc.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was an old school colonial hotel. It was a break from the normal places so that was good.
Cons: The real elephant leg that was used as an umbrella stand. It should be burned, along with any reference to the a.hole that shot 1000 elephants.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Proper old school and quirky: rather a luxury boarding school. Great location and very comfortable rooms. Recommend making friends with Croos who is an excellent barman who now know how to make Springboks.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful location, quiet and secluded garden. Close to town but isolated. A glimpse of a past colonial existence.
Cons: Great to have a dress code for a dining experience, and disappointing that other guests do not always comply with this code. Likewise, lack of respect and adherence to the no mobile devices at dinner policy.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location in the heart of the town. The exterior of hotel and the garden , very charming ,old. British style. Breakfast was nice
Cons: The bed is horrible 100 year old, each movement I made it cause terrible noise. Mastress and pillows are horrible. I could not sleep. Zéro insonorision I heard everything, dogs ware barking all night long. The old wood floor makes too much noise . Go for takeing picture but don’t sleep there. All my body was hurt after sleeping in that room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and bathroom are clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and attentive, food was delicious.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The fire in the fireplace was nice, and the staff was very obliging.
Cons: Such a shame to let such a lovely building go to rack and ruin. It is all so very dull, dark and a bit dirty around the edges.

5.4 Okay
Cons: No more hot water for shower after 5 seconds hot water supply and the water was so cold which I nearly got sick. No staff can be reached at night and no information on where the staff can be reached out at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, very peaceful hotel surrounded by tea plantations, bright and green. The managers do a tour along the tea plantations and it is absolutely amazing! Unfogetable experience. The hotel serves good hot breakfasts and yammy tea with milk. Staff is the best team ever, very kind, helpful and open-minded. It was pleasure do spend time there and enjoy long talks with the staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: packed breakfast and complimentary tea was a nice touch
Cons: the chanting in the nearby monastery at 5am woke us up but if you go hiking in the morning (like we did) and have to get up anyway then it's fine
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A cute little property with only 4 rooms which allows for a quiet night!
Cons: Hot water was a little unpredictable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view, the room and the staff were excellent. The delux room was perfect for our family of 4.
Cons: No hand towels or face clothes.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting in the tea fields and easy tuk tuk ride into the town. Nice place to relax and escape from a busy itinerary. Charming old buildings (which may need some maintenance) but added to the colonial tea plantation feeling. The staff were available to go out of their way to help with your requests - sometimes requests were not actioned without several requests so be persistent and all will work our well. We enjoyed our first two nights so much we extended by a day.
Cons: Set-up is like a home stay so breakfasts are communal - not a problem for us but wanted to mention. However, unlike other home stays dinners are not provided. There was a kitchen area but we were not invited access to it. You are suggested ordering a take-away or to go out to dinner in town - options in town are limited to the big hotels.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great property located a bit out of town in the tea fields.( About 5 minutes by tuk tuk.) Staff were very friendly and helpful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. Those little cottage type room and surroundings made me feel like home. V nice and attentive staff. Homemade breakfast. Nice view from tea fields. It is actually a villa in middle of tea fields
Cons: Loved everything. Nothing to dislike about this property

Pros: Very nice stay but a little bit too expensive for what you get. Room was clean but smaller than most of the rooms we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly, they even prepared at breakfast to take out when we were leaving at 5 am to Hortons National Park. There was very nice view from the room. Located a little bit outside the city - around 4 km from city centre.
Cons: The price was a little bit too expensive for what you get.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. room was neat and clean. stuffs were very friendly. Nice view from balcony.

Cons: Location is good.but only the road is very hard to go by vehicles.

Cons: The way they serve the breakfast awful. Ala -cart mean "according to the menu." but there is no menu at all.

6.3 Good
Pros: Nothing much
Cons: Since we were in our honeymoon we expected a nice room. When we checked in to the hotel they offered us a room with car park view.when I am in a property like St. Andrews there is no point to have a look of my own car which I see every day.while I went to have a drink at the bar Mr. GAYAN and MR. RANMADALA and evening front office agent (couldn't remember the name) help us for a room change. finally we got #205 and it was better than the first room. On first day there was no buffet breakfast and it was not informed us at the check-in. Second day there was a buffet and if was not worth for money which we paid.overoll staff was friendly except the lady who checked in us. Our total bill was over 55000lkr and it was not worth for that money.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Old world colonial charm in the tea plantation area. The property is close to the town centre and nearby attractions.
Cons: Rude Staff who are ill informed. Checked in by a lady called Gowri who was incredibly rude and insisted we had no breakfast as part of our date. We later discovered we were being charged US$90/ day for two people for breakfast. Unsure if that was a booking.com error or hotel accounts. On check out we were told we were charged US$ 120 for a Christmas dinner that we had no idea was included as none of the staff had informed us and there was no indication of this on our booking details. We had called to enquire about the Christmas party but the restaurant had no idea about the event! Was bizarre as there was a huge party with a great spread. They asked us to pay for that. Has we known it was included we would have joined. Quality of breakfast was poor but with choice. But limited options in nearby areas so you sort of have to eat there. Rooms are old and damp and carpets are dirty. Like staying in a cheap motel with terrible service, while paying high end prices. Two thumbs down!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Located very centrally on the green fringe of the town, a stone’s throw from the historic golf course, the hotel provides comfort, good food and attentive staff in a more “ intimate” environment than several of the other large hotels in town. Fires were lit in the cool evenings!
Cons: This is a family hotel and so can be a little noisy, but then probably no different to the other equivalent hotels
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything was amazing , staff very friendly and room was so clean , morning breakfast it was international and very yummi , every thing was great. highly recommendation
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was a good size, windows that could be opened, large bed, clean bathroom. Good selection of TV channels, glass water bottles (no plastic!) and a good tea available with kettle.
Cons: Wifi was slow in the room, staff seemed fairly uninterested and the hotel only has one buffet restaurant with average food.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good evening buffet value for money, nice gardens, close to centre Very good staff organising taxi to next destination
Cons: Bedroom decor needs updating a bit shabby
7.1 Good
Pros: Good breakfast.freindly staff in buffet area. Well maintained garden.
Cons: Even though we clearly mentioned that we need a full bed what they offered was two single beds at the premises. We had to went through bit of a struggle to change our room into a full bed. Which ended up a room without a terrace.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff Are willing to welcome you & Service.
Cons: No tea in breakfast Tea /Coffee.
4.2 Okay
Pros: I wouldn’t recommend this property at all. It is at a convenient location but this property needs some serious cleaning . The breakfast is a joke and not clean, we were worried we will get sick.
Cons: Nothing about this property that was good. This was a last min mute booking and we thought that we should have stayed elsewhere.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was very cosy and the shower was very powerful which was welcome after our previous hotel. We had a ground floor garden view room which was lovely to sit out and have a coffee or beer and I'd definitely choose this room type if you can. The garden is very well kept and the fairy lights at night are a great touch. Lots of extra bedding as it's a bit cooler at night, staff were very friendly and location was good to walk either 15 mins to Gregory lake and park or 10 mins in the other direction to Victoria park or the grand hotel (you have to eat at the grand Indian restaurant!) Plenty of tuk tuks passing on the main road if you didn't want to walk. 15 min tuk tuk to the train station.
Cons: The rooms have no sound proofing as they are made of wood so it can be a bit noisier than 'normal' hotels. Breakfast had a fair selection although for westerners not much that you would probably go for. Quite expensive for what it is and especially for Sri Lanka.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We only had a brownbag breakfast as we left early. This was very basic, toast with egg and a banana. Hotel was very quiet, we had a good night sleep there. Very nice bathroom and bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful little log cabins, exceptionally clean and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom was fantastic with a HUGE stone bath which was fantastic, especially since Nuwara Eliya is a little chillier than other parts of the island! Would recommend highly.
7.0 Good
Pros: Were prepared to do room service. Kids liked the family attic room. Shower was lovely - hot and powerful
Cons: Not the best location, required a 15 minute walk into town and running the gauntlet past the pony rides. Some defects with the room also but main issue was this wasn't good value for money. Was priced towards top end of what we have stayed in and certainly wasn't better. Breakfast was just average

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bungalow is in the middle of a tea plantation about 10 minute drive from Hatton, we loved the remoteness. Lovely colonial features, helpful staff, cashew nuts were amazing! Lovely rooms, we shared a large room between three of us which had plenty of space.
7.9 Good
Pros: The service.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The service was superb. One of us in the group has a stomach upset and had to stay in for the day and the staff looked
Cons: The mosquitoes. My family have been bitten multiple times there - although I do note that it is not an isolated problem specific to Strathdon.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautifully located in the tea plantations overlooking the valley. The gardener took us on a walk through the tea plantations, which was great. Breakfast on the veranda with the view.
Cons: Windowless rooms, some smell a little moist. I booked the stay including dinner on booking.com. When I checked out, the host insisted that dinner was not included even when I showed him the confirmation. I had to insist several times until he realized he had made a mistake. Overall, good place to stay but certainly did not feel like a 5 star hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is amazing. Especially the food. Great place to spend your vacation.
7.5 Good
Pros: Most attentive staff ever, such a relaxing place to stay and amazing food, can’t praise the staff and chef highly enough
Cons: The bathroom was not great, access to the bath tricky
5.8 Okay
Pros: They informed us that a double room was available at their sister property Dick Oya which was 20 mins away. Dick Oya by Jetwing was beautiful but the intial mess up with the booking had already spoiled our mood. But we did try to make the best of it.
Cons: We had booked a deluxe double room at Strathdon and when we got there our room was unavailable. Upon arrival we were informed that the couple in the double room extended their stay, therefore the room was unavailable. It was super inconvenient and really dissapointing cause I made the booking months in advance and after driving all the way to Hatton who wants to hear that the room they booked was actually unavailable and that they had arranged a twin room instead. My husband and I had so many special plans planned but ended up not following through any of them cause the start of the trip was so dissapointing. We would have appreciated atleast a phone call in advance informing us about the room. The best part is I called Jetwing that same day morning saying we were running late. Atleast have the decency to inform me at that point that the room was unavailable. Thoroughly dissapointed! Also the food is not value for money! Breakfast was disappointing, quantities were too small for the price and the taste was average.

7.9 Good
Pros: We had a suite which was beautifully decorated. Lovely walks around the property in the tea plantations. There were bikes which you could borrow too. The manager was welcoming and helped greatly on the last day. Afternoon tea is available on the lawn outside.
Cons: Please note that this was under different management when we stayed here at the beginning of September and has now been taken over by Jetwing. The room we stayed in needed some maintenance (damp/mould on the ceiling). However whilst there we were woken up in the morning by noisy workmen who seemed to be decorating the other rooms. The food was ok - however for the price per night - very small portions.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The place was a wonderful surprise. It's a plantation mansion turned into a guesthouse/bed and breakfast. II would say it's about 4 to 5 guest rooms in total, so a very intimate atmosphere is created. It's deep in Tea plantation hills, but just out of the reach of the busy bustling town near by. It was quiet and serene, with beautiful views all around. The room was specious and comfortable. The dinning was in the mansion's dinning room, which was excellent, all guests could sit at the same table and enjoy the dinning atmosphere. The food was great also. Staff were extremely friendly and tried to wait on us hand and foot catering to all our needs that included meals at the times we desired. and even preparing a midnight snack ( at an additional charge ) for our early morning trek to Adam's peak ( about an hours drive away ).
Cons: The in room TV and Receiver didn't seem to be working, but in all honesty you go to a place like this to get away from everything, not to watch TV. The establishment did have accommodation for our driver, but at an extra cost. Mind you the extra cost wasn't much but usually most establishments in Sri Lanka offer free roam and board for accompanying drivers. But it wasn't a big deal.
6.7 Good
Pros: Mandira is quaint and charming and is close to Adam’s Peak. The bathroom was stunning, the staff was friendly, and the food was good in the shared dining room.
Cons: The estate is a bit warn and the rooms were quite damp feeling/smelling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly. It felt like we were staying with a family. We were made welcome and enjoyed the accommodation, the hospitality and not least the food. Amazing. I would recommend this venue to anyone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming colonial style house with very, very friendly manager and staff
5.8 Okay
Cons: The hotel deducted the amount from the visa then the asked me to pay twice when I am leaving. They said that they will return the amount to my Visa back in 14 days.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location to use a base for exploring the hill country, or for relaxing. Property is set in it's own Tea Plantation which the guests can walk through, as well as to the nearby town Dickoya (5 minute walk, but a steep hill on the way back!). Only a short tuk-tuk drive to Hatton which is a bigger town to wander around. Food in the hotel was excellent - good options for both breakfast and dinner (Sri Lankan, Asian, and Western choices) - the Sri Lankan options I would recommend! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very very large spacious room, decorated in a style befitting of the setting.
Cons: Property was a little dated - appreciate its difficult to maintain the original feel however a freshen up would help elevate the hotel.

Pros: The staff is very nice, the breakfast is also good and what I loved the most was the view! I woke up to see the sunrise and it was stunning ❤❤
Cons: The only thing I didnt like was that the wifi signal didnt get to my room but it's good to a getaway!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Thanks to Rosh, Jeewan, Charly and Sydny we had a great stay Namadi Nest. Such a friendly service, good food, a breakfast package ready when leaving for Horton Plains early and a good curry at night. The shower was possibly the best in Sri Lanka. Our boys loved it when you taught us Carrom. All the best!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is local hotel. The staffs are friendly. We need get up at 4:45am to hike the plain. The boss also prepared the delicious breakfast for us,let us take away. The hotel is on the hill.I think it’s a bit remote even though there is only about 2km far away from the center. The most exciting is we can see the fantastic view. I like this view. It‘s worthable for our stay
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Super staff, they were very kind and they satisfy all of our needs. They gave us some advices for tours and restaurants, they explained to us typical singalese games and kitchen. Strongly recommended, Namadi and his staff were great!
Cons: Just a little far from the city center, but they arranged free pick up when you arrive in Nuwara.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I took a taxi from the bus station and halfway to the property we met Namadi who transferred my backpack to his car and drove me to a nearby restaurant for lunch. He is very helpful and offered to hike the Leopard's Rock unfortunately I didn't have enough time. It would have been great though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay in Nuwara Elija. The room was big and very clean, the bathroom was also big and extremely clean. View from the hotel is awesome. Breakfast was good. And the last but not least is the owner who is extremely nice person with whom you can talk and talk about everything.
Cons: Everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable, the breakfast was very nice and plentiful. The views from the property are breathtaking and watching the monkeys in the morning was a treat.

Pros: Welcoming staff
Cons: In booking.com it says the hotel is only 1.4 km away from Gregory lake. In reality it is more than 10 km away. Also, the service charges are around 20% of the rate you get in booking.com This is crazy and too much

9.2 Excellent
Pros: What a fantastic location! We had a great spacious room.Breakfast was very good.
7.0 Good
Pros: The food was beautiful especially the Sri Lankan breakfast 10/10. Staff was very accommodating.
Cons: Having to pay cash when there are Visa signs around the property.
4.6 Okay
Pros: I am really thankful for cooking my baby's meal, after preparing it by ourselves.
Cons: There are a lot of bad experiences, which we had there. we booked 4 rooms there. 1st day 1. window in the bath room of room 107 couldn't be locked. when we informed, the manager told us that there are CCTV cameras out side. ????? we were surprised about their attitude. 2. some of the facilities mentioned in the booking .com were not available. eg. free toiletries. (food was ok) 2nd day was the worst day! 3. Bottled water was served in the first day only (in booking.com, it was mentioned as free bottled water). Though, we asked for several times, since we couldn't go to the town at that night, they didn't served. 4. for the breakfast in the 2nd day, we ordered 7 string-hoppers potions, 1 rice and curry portion, and fruit plates (that was done in the 1st day night. In the first day also we had the same for the breakfast and it was ok. However, when it comes to the 2nd day, it was terrible.) in the 2nd day, first served the string-hoppers, but those were in reduced amount. then, we wait about half an hour and inquired about the rice and curry potion. we had a rice plate, but no curries. we inquired about the curries. they told us, we have to order that before. (rice and curry portion with no curries??????). the manager told us there is a chicken curry which was prepared for the hotel workers, they can serve that, if we like. I was really shocked, because, I ordered the rice and curry potion for my mother. Finally, we inquired about fruit plates. later they served plates after many of us left the table. We are paying for the stay and the food and not asking for free of charge (Overpaid, really not worth). As Sri Lankans we all know hospitality well. Don't dishonor that quality of our nation. Hope you can manage the things better in the future. I wish you all the best!
4.6 Okay
Pros: Food was good.
Cons: There were 2 sngle metress in one kingsize bed. And blanket was't dry clean. General manager was not friendly at all. No view in our room. Not worth for money
