Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I stayed at the Martine Inn during Monterey Car Week and, in spite of the elevated activity level throughout the Monterey area, Don, his Grandson and the staff took great care of us. The Inn was our welcome ocean front retreat when we needed a break. Breakfasts were very good and the afternoon "tea" was extensive and tasty. All in all, a delightful stay.
Cons: Being car week, the room rates were not a bargain but also not totally unreasonable as all area accommodations go up pretty sharply during that time. Also, the rooms are not air conditioned, which is not prominently mentioned. Though the days were pretty warm (August) the ocean front location assured that things cooled down reasonably during the evenings. Sleeping was not at all uncomfortable.

Pros: Excellent location two blocks from beach, two blocks from restaurants. This is an old restored Victorian home and they have stuck to the theme throughout. Lots of flowered wallpaper and antique furniture. Beds are comfortable. TV. Nice gardens.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of room, great staff, very well stocked continental breakfast, quiet, high rise toilet and hot shower.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The set up is great-little cabins with three floors and a garage for your car. Would be so convenient if you were traveling with a group. VERY clean. Very spacious bathrooms. Incredibly quiet.
Cons: I was on the top floor and my room had a open space high up near the ceiling in my bedroom. I'm sure it was just to hide HVAC in an aesthetically pleasing way-but as a solo traveler it made me nervous to not be able to access such a large space. Maybe ask for a 1st or 2nd floor!

Cons: The wifi link for the Internet was somewhat poor. Very slow download and upload speed.. It was good enough for email but nothing else. If you need it as a business traveller, it may not suffice.

The fire pit outside the office is awesome. It would have been nice to have breakfast out there but my children are lazy to get up, I had to bring the breakfast in our room.
Pros: The staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. The location is great close to everything.
Cons: The street is by our room and it's kind a noisy and noticeable. They definitely have to replace the pillows they get so flat and the bed, I don't know what they can do about them but to replace them eventually. I had backache when I woke up in the morning.

3.4 Mediocre
Cons: Family rooms are right between staircases that are outside looking into your room. Very loud from other rooms. Seemed old and poorly insulated. Outdoor lighting shined in Windows. Definitely felt dirty in rooms, beds very uncomfortable. Have to be honest because I read people's reviews that liked it and that's why we took family there. Poor decision! Will not recommend or return...

Pros: friendlyness, cleanlyness
7.1 Good
Pros: I liked the location. Easy access with the beach near by and other activities like the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable! They gave us a room that was specific to ADA standards which wasn't too big of an issue but the bathroom was a little jenky with their attempt to make it ADA compliant. Plus there was absolutely no bathroom counter space. It was just a pedestal sink with a mirror, a toilet and walk-in shower that got water everywhere!

8.2 Excellent
Pros: Stone tiled shower. Large back patio shaded with tree. Location near ocean walking paths and town..
Cons: Terrible breakfast- just commercial muffins cut in half.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful décor is the icing on the cake for this newly remodeled hotel. Tiled bathrooms and pillow top mattresses combined with spacious closets and effective kitchenettes created a down-home luxurious feeling. Easily accessible from the parking lot, the room's manually locked doors allowed you to enter your home-away from home. In addition to all the typical amenities of vending and Wi-Fi, the beautifully tailored grounds were punctuated by a pool, Jacuzzi and fire pit. This affordable hotel had a feeling of opulence that doesn't break the bank.
Cons: That I had to leave!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, clean room, slate tile in bathroom, refrigerator that wasn't noisy in the middle of the night!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the delux queen cottage and it was perfect! Newly remodeled, spacious, private and quiet with a kitchenette. The cottages don't share walls and have lovely views of landscaping and trees. Wish we would have stayed longer, we will be back.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: the room is very beautiful and comfort. The front desk is very helpful. My families love this place very much!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel is very simple and the continental breakfast means muffins and coffee. Definetely not a 3 stars.
6.3 Good
Pros: we stayed there a year ago and liked the location, pleasant color of the room, the view outside of our room, the quietness and being close to the ocean walk. So we decided to return and found everything being just as nice.
Cons: There is nothing we found not to our liking. Thank you!
4.0 Okay
Cons: one room had furniture outside in the parking lot waiting for the carpet to dry, yet we were given key and told it was ready. we were not assigned another room in the nearly empty complex and had to wait them out.No black out curtains with bright outside light making room like day time all night long, not good for sleeping. No hot water in the am for a shower, nor hot water in the sink. unconconcered and rude young woman at front desk. will not go back. mostly because of the nasty girl at the desk. told me next time i could go out at night and unscrew the bulb if the light bothered me. Couldnt explain the lack of appropiate curtains. probably out in the parking lot with the other furniture
6.7 Good
Pros: I thought the hotel was in a great location, you could actually hear the ocean waves at night, and a pretty good price for the area. It was a very quiet location too.
6.0 Good
Pros: Clean and quiet location. Easy access to all the area offers. Good value for money
Cons: No laundry
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful.
Cons:
2.8 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Badly stained carpet, a/c ventilation grill hadn't seen a brush or duster in years, it was "furry" with dust/dirt.
4.4 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: bathroom needs updating, tiny thin shelf along the wall was the only space to put things, need a surround around the sink.Room cluttered with pictures and two fake flower pots. Not sure why a room near the sea has to have the 'italian countryside' look.It would make the rooms appear more spacious if the clutter was gone &colour scheme reflected sea side theme.?need for outside light on all night.
3.6 Mediocre
Pros: The maintenance manager was nice, helpful. One of the older hosts was nice. The girl checking in was a smartie. And they never opened the continental breakfast until 8AM. So, the three days I attended my conference that started at 8AM in Monterey, I missed breakfast. !! I deserve a discount for no breakfast access for three days. Who does this? Every other inn around there starts at 6 AM!
Cons: The room was dated. comfortable bed. The pool not heated, which precludes it's use. the tile in hot tub cracked and missing! And I paid more than was quoted.
4.4 Okay
Pros: Clean & roomy
Cons: Room did not have any air flow due to back windows being blocked by unit on other side, could have used a ceiling fan or vent. Hot water tank right outside bathroom window(extremely noisy) at 2:00 AM.

4.5 Okay
Cons: Mildew in the shower, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, dirty remote control, filthy doors, bugs (e.g. tick) in the room.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice welcoming staff. Had an issue with the remote for the TV and had immediate attention to reset and program it. Nice breakfast area with sufficient variety of food, coffee, tea, orang juice, milk, fresh fruit, cereals (hot n cold), variety of breads to toast, make it yourself waffles, and boiled eggs. Just a short walk to the beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Rosedale Inn is understated when looking at it from the outside but the interior is all very modern and high quality. The rooms look as if they've just been upgraded because the bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub and all contemporary features. The setting is also great--wonderful wooded area.

2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Our room had no TV, no microwave, no fridge, no phone, no pad and pen, basically it was just shelter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It reminded us of the Yosemite Flair. Coming from Sweden it was just outstanding!
7.7 Good
Pros: Tranquil location, close the beach and even had some deer nearby. It resembles staying at a cabin in the middle of a forest. Quite remarkable.
Cons: Room was extremely dated, thin walls and can hear people talking in the room next to ours. Bathroom needed a little TLC. Shower doors were rusted and old. Since we took my 3 and 5 year old a TV would have been great entertainment for them.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: ...in such a great way. Designed by Julia Morgan, the property has lovely character with wood interiors. Our room was in a building with ~8 rooms, and there was a common room that had games and puzzles which is nice because the rooms are small and there were four of us. When we got back from dinner out, there were logs and newspaper starters set up in the fireplace with matches on the mantle, making it super easy to start a cozy fire and play games. Fresh air, glimpses of the ocean, live music (mellow guitar) until 9PM....twas lovely.
Cons: There didn't seem to be a phone in the rooms, so getting more pillows seemed hard to figure out, so I just stuffed towels into pillowcases. Just good to know that going in.
6.0 Good
Pros: The grounds and property were breathtaking
Cons: The room was small and dingy. We didn't expect much and it met our low expectations. We got breakfast with our travelzoo deal and I felt like I was back in my high school cafeteria. We don't expect luxury, but they could really up their game in terms of managing the property.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The grounds are beautiful and invite you to take long walks.
Cons: The walls are a bit thin and we were disturbed by our neighbors above us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stayed for one night. Loved the amazing location, how clean and spacious the room was, and the comfortable beds.
Cons: Didn't care much for the cafe employee, who was rude and forgetful.
6.0 Good
Pros: Conference grounds were gorgeous, lots of little walking trails and directly across from the ocean.
Cons: My room had poor air circulation and was always way too hot. Blinds on the bathroom window did not close properly and the windows didn't have screens on them. There were also 2 or 3 lamp posts just outside my bedroom window, meaning I had to deal with lots of light pollution when trying to sleep. Site has open wi-fi, but it is unavailable in most conference rooms. Most food and services on site are decent, but rather overpriced.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I loved the grounds- they were beautiful
Cons: That we we're put in the wrong room at first but they corrected it
8.2 Excellent
Pros: It was convenient to locations I was visiting. Beautiful lobby.
Cons: Breakfast was over at 9 so lazing about in the morning is not supported. Facilities are very old which means very nice great rooms, lobby, etc., but guest rooms had issues like pocket door was broken in our bathroom and fairly thin walls meaning the kids in the room above woke us up early.

Pros: Great place to stay! Convenient location, receptive staff, clean rooms.
Cons: Setting for continental breakfast requires more space.
7.4 Good
Pros: Nice hot tub, good parking and location.
Cons: Breakfast was served in a tiny hotel room—uncomfortably tight. Use of plastic and throw away items excessive. Real plates, cups and silverware would be preferable. Thought I had booked at a lower rate—was slightly overpriced.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean comfortable pillows.
Cons: Nothing
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location was great!
Cons: Old!!! things breaking like door handle and tub/sink not draining!!! Smells like dust! I have allergies!

Pros: The hotel is in a great location, while I was there I felt like I was the only one in the hotel it was quite and I was able to enjoy my vacation. I was able to go for a walk along the Sea side and to the light house. The staff absolutely amazing and helpful. I will definitely be booking here again!

Cons: Very poor wifi, and poor phone service. Breakfast was very minimal without much selection.
5.7 Okay
Pros: we had deer right in front of our patio door! And the grounds were nice. The beds were also comfortable. The free wifi was easy to use too. The location is great.
Cons: Our patio sliding door didn't have a screen so when we opened the door for ventilation I noticed a couple of mosquitoes. And when exploring the cemetery that our room faced I noticed that other rooms in our building had screens on their doors. The room also had a weird smell when we first got there. while the sheets were clean the carpet had several stains and there were a lot of scratches and marks on the walls. And considering the price and how easy it would be to cover them with touch up paint, I was disappointed with the quality...not to mention our room was described as having a fireplace and ours did not.
6.0 Good
Pros: Perfect for families with young kids and dogs. Five minutes from Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Roe. Just around the corner from 17 Mile Drive gate. Convenient parking.
Cons: Rooms and resort dated and a bit run down. Could be a little cleaner. Continental breakfast area overcrowded and toasters not all working. Night front desk clerk not very friendly.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: It was very charming with the cemetery and light house within walking distance.
Cons: Shower doors and floor tile could use some Tilex
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Reviews of this property are rather unfair. It is well kept and the room was very nice and clean. It appears to be recently updated. It does back up to a cemetery but that didn't bother us and provided for a view of the grazing deer. Internet worked well and the fire-pit was a great place to relax.
Cons: The breakfast was cold, tasteless and for the most part empty trays of food were offered. Rubber egg frisbees, cold under cooked potatoes and slimy oatmeal. Bring your own breakfast! Other than the breakfast things were good.
6.0 Good
Pros: Cute room, the room was clean.
Cons: The back of our room was facing a cemetery. And the landscape hadn't been maintained for quite sometime.
6.0 Good
Pros: Rooms are upgraded and very nice, great location, pleasant staff.
Cons: The "Lodge" is in one location across the street from the picturesque "Cottages". The "Lodge" rooms are more of a typical Motel, with upstairs rooms and downstairs rooms (thus neighbors can be noisy if you are downstairs). Cottages are the pics you see and are beautiful, if you are staying there, which can be misleading as there are no two double bed rooms in the cottages. All two bed rooms are in lower level in the "Lodge". What really upset us is the two levels of service. In the "Cottages" there is a beautiful main dining area for meals/wine/fire pits, but you can't use it if you are staying in the "Lodge" rooms. The "Lodge" rooms get a very cramped continental breakfast that would be sub-par for a Super 8.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Away from tourist areas. Very peaceful.
Cons: Needs some renovation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The views were excellent. Proximity to other attractions was a plus.
Cons: Second day breakfast had no meat items.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was nice and spacey. The fireplace was a nice addition even though we didn't use it. It's a good location to see things in Monterey bay, walking or driving. The breakfast is a good deal.
Cons: We tried to check in and was told our room wouldn't be ready for 30-45 minutes. They suggested we come back or wait. No explanation was given and there were absolutely no apologies or signs of inconvenience. They only gave us 3 towels for the room and when we asked for more because we were going to the pool it seemed super inconvenient for them or like it wasn't allowed. Be aware of the mosquitoes in the area. We left the door open and a lot got in the room. Be aware the space behind the hotel is a cemetery.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect space for us. A little balcony which was nice because we have a one-year-old that goes to bed at 7:30. Short walk to the coast and out of the way of the touristy business of Monterey.
Cons: Only like three chairs at the pool. Sliding doors to balcony very stubborn.

3.7 Mediocre
Pros: convenient location
Cons: the unit had a gas leak and we woke up at 3am with a headache, they changed the room in the middle of the night, but it was a huge inconvenience, the new room the heater didnt work well
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness of the room was a plus! Very easy and comfortable place to stay... minutes from Asilomar Beach.
Cons: Complimentary breakfast was meager, and by 8:30 AM, most things were out and needed to be replenished. Staff probably would have replenished, but a little bit of spilled syrup on the floor disrupted their attention to customer service. Several guests (including me) stood around, hoping that they'd restock the breakfast area, but they never did as they scurried (somewhat senselessly) to find someone to mop the floor. They could easily have attended to their guests on hand at the same time.

8.2 Excellent
Pros: This place is great for the price. We enjoy staying here so we aren’t spending $350 a night to stay in Monterey. The location puts you right off PG Golf Course and a few blocks from the quaint town of PG.
Cons: Really, this is a great little motel but it won’t wow you with ultra soft beds and newly updated rooms.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was great. Very close to everything we came to do. Only mins away from the beach and aquarium.
Cons: No central heat in the room. It was cold outside and my wife was extremely cold in the room with no way to warm the room. The room was old so you can hear every sound outside. The bathroom was not clean and the shower water would go hot to cold and then cold to hot with in seconds. I burnt myself during the shower.

Cons: Beds were not very comfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely to stay in an old victorian with a fireplace in the room and a little patio that had an ocean view. We prefer staying outside the touristy Carmel/Monterrey spots, and this is a short walk to great shops and restaurants in Pacific Grove. Great little touches like coffee & tea service in the lobby, cookies and a free glass of wine (that we missed - from 4-5 only). All staff were very warm and welcoming.
Cons: If you are a light sleeper, a victorian may be a challenge - can be a little noisy. Breakfast sounded hardier than it was - eggs & potatoes (a tiny scoop on a mini plate, but lots of sides like toast and fruit in the buffet).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was so clean and the amenities were fun. The breakfast was amazing. The wine and cheese plate in the evening was yummy and cookies and milk for bed was amazing. So cute and fun. The bed was so comfortable and i loved the staff. They were personable and nice. The location was walking distance from downtown pacific grove which has somd cute places to check out and by a great restaurant peppers. It was a great location and we will definitely stay there again.
Cons: The parking was tricky. The cars were parked very close together and some were sticking out. But with patience it worked out.
7.4 Good
Pros: Great location, very helpful staff, nice breakfast included, tastefully appointed, good value.
Cons: Small room made it difficult for two adults to get settled in.
8.6 Excellent
Pros: It was close to the conference I was going to attend and My husband could roam around Monterey with the dog during the day.
Cons: Very quaint gas fireplace but it is the only source of heat which does not make it conducive for sleeping with the flames going most of the night (Rm. 12). Also the porch light was left on since we had told the clerk we would be a late check in and we were not able to find the switch to turn it off so it would not be too bright in the room for sleeping. Sleeping is alway difficult in a strange place/bed. It's nice to be able to control your environment to help as much as possible.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: Staff
Cons: Rust stains on towels, ground floor room lot of noise and very small.
