Breakfast was nice and very typical/local. Would have appreciated the opportunity for an egg or other protein. Plenty of food, though, and the hosts did not scrimp.
nice location, easy access to parking and surrounding area.
Old and run-down hotel at a premium price point. Old beds and bedding, inconsistent heaters. Made the mistake of paying for a meal at the counter in front of the kitchen. The "office" space was utterly disgusting. very very dirty and disorganized. It made one question the cleanliness of the kitchen and rest of the facilities. All in all just a very tired feel. Not a place where we would return.
Very quiet with a great view of vineyards and the Vosges Mountains. The room was fine, with cute Alsatian touches, such as folk designs painted on the door. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great, the towels were thick. The entire room floor (bathroom too) was covered in carpet squares, nice on bare feet. And the terrace was big enough to enjoy the view from.
The check in was confusing: hotel is one building, restaurant where you check in is across the narrow street and down one house, The included dinner and breakfast were uninspired and not worth the money. Next time I'll take the room only! The owners (man especially) was unhelpful, he finally sent me to find his wife while he was using the internet.
very quaint hotel, very typical of the area. The Hotel is across from the restaurant and Zellenberg is very small with little more but it is in close proximity to other lovely places.
The rooms are very small and be aware that you must CANCEL breakfast not order it and you will be charged a portion of the price if you do not show up or cancel which we found somewhat odd. The restaurant has traditional food although not at great prices, it is a tourist location after all. Parking can be a problem specifically at busy periods.
We've loved the food in the hotel, the quality was great! Everything homemade and better than Michelin rewieved restaurants in the closed towns. It's located in a small town on the hill, with a wondeful view of the landscape. The hotel is in a 1500's house (just lovely), the room (aloyse) is big, so clean and comfortable. Parking is close to the hotel and it is free.
