Pros: Very nice rustic and ancient property C.1569 in a pretty village just off the Alsace Wine Route. We had a balcony which was a bonus. We would stay again.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Central town location. Excellent bed.
Cons: Awful communication. Arrived to check in at 2pm and no one was around. After an hour of trying we got in touch with the owner who informed me they wouldnt be able to check us in until 6 pm. Apparently if checking in on a Tuesday you need to arrange a 'check in appointment' prior to arrival. I have never had this. No apology for making us wait in motorcylce gear for 3 hrs in the heat wave. And the worst is that they lied about agreeing with us a check in time and sending us an email the day before. No email was received. Another couple checking in the same day were in the same situation; they were also told they were emailed but this email was also not received. Good apartment but I would never stay again. This really soured our honeymoon. (stayed in 11 different places around Europe and this was the only place that let us down).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was amazingly comfortable. Towels hung on heated racks. Neat and cozy and warm. This is a lovely place to stay right in the middle of town. I will return and highly recommend this place. The breakfast was beautiful. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. A warm, comfortable, intimate atmosphere.

Cons: Steep stairs and had to carry luggage ourselves No English TV channels
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great within the village and the room size was large compared to others in France.
Cons: The WiFi in the rooms was not good
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Right in the middle of tiny Riquewihr, these lovely apartments were perfect. We stayed in the modern design apartment, which was on the top floor. Supercomfy bed, great shower. A nice breakfast was served in the next door Brendelstaub, which has the same owners. You pick up the key from there too.
Cons: If you are in fit condition like us, the apartment on the top floor should not be a problem. However, if you have problems walking, this may not be your best option.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The incessant music piped through the street!!!! Dreadful? Dreadful!!!

Pros: Great location. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was very nice. The staff was very friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: A bit more fresh fruit at breakfast would be nice. The rooms are clean and spacious but decoration is very basic
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: I had booked the room for 2 people in Best Western Hotel & spa le Schoenenbourg 14 to 16 August. We came with a kid of 8 years old. The staff told us we couldn't stay in the room with the kid because it was small size (only for 2 people). Then we asked if we could pay extra for the kid. They refused. We asked for another room. They refused. And they also said that we couldn't cancel our booking. So we were not able to stay together with our kid and were not able to cancel our booking. The staff were arrogant and unfriendly! The manager (he even did not tell us his name) forced us to sign a paper that we are informed that we cannot stay together in one room. The only thing he cared about was his personal safety and not clients with the child! He did nothing to solve the situation. He told us he didn't want to take responsibility if anything... We asked a receptionist if it was possible to change the room the next day she said yes. Due to hot season almost all hotels (family rooms) in Riquewihr were booked. I found the small hotel on the other side of the village and stayed there for one night. My wife and daughter stayed here. Next day the staff changed the room but to our suprise the new room was the same size and even without balcony which the first one had... Unfortunately we had to stay here for one more night!

5.8 Okay
Pros: The man owner tried hard to please
Cons: The woman owner set a negative tone from the beginning- way too many rules does not make for feeling welcomed!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and spacious rooms. Lovely terrace and garden. Very friendly and helpful couple running this B&B. Perfect and quiet location for visiting Alsace and the wine route. Both French, English and German spoken. We highly recommend this place.
Cons: Everything was good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I spent three absolutely wonderful days at Le Clos Des Raisins and can only recommend this B&B. It is located in a small, calm and picturesque village - however, it is still very central and in the midst of other absolutely stunning and beautiful little towns and villages. The B&B is a true oasis and the hospitality of the owners can hardly be beat. We were welcomed very cordially and equipped with many helpful tips for the area. The breakfast was amazing and especially the countless homemade jams a true treat.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Very quiet and lots of privacy. The pool was excellent. There is a sauna and showers near the pool. The scenery is just marvelous.
Cons: Kitchenette is really small with very limited cooking functionality.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice place. Fine room and fine pool. The place it a little quiet. No extra facilities beside room and pool. Nice host and service when you need it.
Cons: Missing possibility for breakfast.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice swimming pool with both shadow and sun. I was nice and quiet, calm atmosphere and a friendly host.
Cons: Our apartment was clearly one of the oldest, with only a very small and simple kitchenette, which made cooking and doing the dishes a challenge. For the rest is was okay: the apartment was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower very spacious. Except the small kitchen nothing was really wrong, but the price level would have suggested a more up-to-date apartment. The WiFi was almost impossible: no reach for some of the time, and when connected very slow. So I used my 4G network to connect and made my own hotspot so that my wife could read the newspapers on her tablet.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location in the middle of the vineyards, the buildings, the spacious accomodations, and the pool area surrounded by old trees were all wonderful. The kitchen in our apartment had everything you needed to prepare small meals, and sitting outside just in front of the apartment with our morning coffee and a view of the vineyards was heavenly! We left our car at home and brought our bikes on the train, but even so, Kanzel Residences was easy to reach from the Colmar train station - as were restaurants and shops in Beblenheim, Riquewihr, Ribeauvillé and Kaysersberg (no need to bike on the major roads, there are excellent bike paths through the vineyards which allow you to avoid traffic).
Cons: The only thing less than perfect was that we had no WiFi access in our room during the stay - we had to go to the reception area or close to the pool. Caroline and Serge tried their very best to have this fixed, though, but it was apparently a major technical problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent an amazing weekend in one of the apartments! Absolutely mesmerizing location! All employees ver nice, approachable and professional ! I will definitely book again!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything was arranged perfectly with a lot of attention to the details. Very welcoming place. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in a lovely setting, wonderful host, and a great swimming pool. Good restaurants in the village, 2 minutes walk.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Caroline, our host was most friendly and welcoming. She helped us booking restaurants and was around to answer any questions we had.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - Carolina is a great host. After we arrived we could immediately enter our appartement, no unnecesary paperwork. Carolina showed us the appartement. - The appartement was soo nice. Big kitchen with everything you need. Big bathroom and nice terrace. We stayed with just the two of us. I believe we had one of the bigger appartments though. - There was also a great pool. Water temperature was perfect! Not too hot and not too cold. - A very good bakery nearby. Also a little supermarket. - Overall: defenitely reccomend!
Cons: - Nothing!

7.9 Good
Pros: Great location in town, WIFI strong, lovely breakfast, private parking offered outside of town wall, which was easy to access. Helpful Staff and a lovely bar under the hotel.
Cons: This is a note that they do not silence the church bells in Riquewihr between 20:00 and 6:00. During the warmer nights, with the window open, you will hear the church bells all night every 15 min. This made our sleep less than perfect.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff, lovely breakfast, charming rooms and hotel.
Cons: All was fine.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very good location. Rooms are quiet. Perfect for a one or two days visit to Riquewihr.

Overview Reviews
The Schlossberg hotel is ideally set in the heart of the old village of Zellenberg, amongst half-timbered Alsatian houses. This hotel will give you the choice between 9 spacious, air-conditioned rooms. Each room includes a TV, minibar and internet access. Some of the rooms have a private terrace and a view of the vineyards. Located opposite Riquewihr, 1 of the most visited villages in France, the hotel has also built its reputation on its top-quality restaurant serving some of the best local recipes in a warm atmosphere.
7.1 Good
Pros: Charming location
Cons: Breakfast average. Bed not so confortable.
6.3 Good
Pros: very quaint hotel, very typical of the area. The Hotel is across from the restaurant and Zellenberg is very small with little more but it is in close proximity to other lovely places.
Cons: The rooms are very small and be aware that you must CANCEL breakfast not order it and you will be charged a portion of the price if you do not show up or cancel which we found somewhat odd. The restaurant has traditional food although not at great prices, it is a tourist location after all. Parking can be a problem specifically at busy periods.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and the village are just stunning. Lovely short walk around the village was very enjoyable. The accommodation I had was great, very roomy and all the facilities I required. Coupled with the restaurant it made for a perfect stay. Unfortunately it was only for one night though.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Dinner at the restaurant is excellent. Breakfast is average. Location of the hotel and view of my room are excellent. Outlook and Interior of the restaurant are excellent.
Cons: Wifi connection could be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We've loved the food in the hotel, the quality was great! Everything homemade and better than Michelin rewieved restaurants in the closed towns. It's located in a small town on the hill, with a wondeful view of the landscape. The hotel is in a 1500's house (just lovely), the room (aloyse) is big, so clean and comfortable. Parking is close to the hotel and it is free.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly situated in the heart of the village. Private carpark.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great building. Nice feel to the place. Staff very friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed in this hotel many times now, returning most years and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly, the rooms are spotless and full of character. This time we were in the main building, previously we've been in the annex. The main building has a very steep stone spiral staircase that is beautiful, but would not be suitable for people with mobility problems or large suitcases! If either of those apply ask for a room in the annex when booking! The hotel has its own carpark which is really important in Riquewihr where parking would otherwise be difficult. It is right in the middle of town and perfect for visiting this region.
Cons: The wifi is very unstable. It is available, but you will need to reconnect every 2 minutes..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Parking is amazing and completely central. Staff are so friendly and accommodating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were multilingual, friendly and helpful. We were even bumped from a standard to a premium room free of charge (we only stayed for one night and the hotel seemed a bit half-full). The room was clean and everything worked as it should. The hotel is located very centrally in Riquewihr and has affordable and easily accessible parking right outside their doors. Great two-star hotel.
Cons: The only "problems" were that I had to bend quite far down to use the bathroom mirror (190cm) and that the shower/bathtub could have used an anti-slip mat.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location with parking (5euros per night) Quiet comfy bed
Cons: Staff not interested didn’t even show us all the way to our room maybe the extra 2 flights after 3 flights of stairs too much, didn’t explain about breakfast apart from the price!! Dark room tired bathroom in the eaves so hot with very noisy temporary Air Con. Supposed to be a superior room not worth the extra money would not recommend no. 24
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, fantastic parking, very nice owners!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic and includes amazing central parking. Friendly staff.
Cons: Our WiFi connection wasn't great if you do require that!
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel De La Couronne was ideally located in the heart of Riquewihr - having been checked into the wrong room Arno relocated us to a superior room the following day (Room 4) at no extra cost and recompense for our inconvenience.
Cons: After a long hot motorcycle journey from Dijon 160 miles the Polish receptionist was disengaged towards us upon checking in gave us the room key (room 19) and showed us to the bottom of the stairs pointed up and said floor 2. When we struggled up the tight winding stone staircase to find room 19 - it clearly was not the room we had booked - this was a family room (we booked a standard double with shower). Nonetheless we proceeded to unpack, shower and change, however, the shower did not work properly and decided to take a bath - the plug was not good whereby the water was draining as you bathed. Returned to reception and were informed that we could be moved and to speak to Arno - who was not available until the following morning.

Pros: Perefectory location

Pros: Close to town center (within walking distance) Nice bedroom, spacious and nice Parking space available next to the hotel
Cons: Breakfast quite expensive
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice hotel just outside the town of RIquewihr, providing a good base to explore this part of Alsace. It is a fairly short walk into the town where there are many restaurants for the evening. The rooms at the front have nice views of the vineyards.
Cons: The rooms were slightly small and the bathroom awkwardly designed. On arrival, the atmosphere was somewhat dismal with few staff around - it was better in the mornings when breakfast was underway. It would have been nice to have a sitting area outside to relax and take in the view.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was ready with our key, and did know that we were coming, the first time we have experienced it, on this tour. No problems to get breakfast, but was told that it would cost extra. Nice view from the room over beautiful wine yards. Bed and bathroom was nice.
Cons: The breakfast was not included in the price, so we had to pay for that separat. There is no restaurant ind the hotel, but plenty restaurants in the city, in walking distance from the hotel.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location, lots of parking & a great breakfast
Cons: Very warm & stuffy

Pros: Great location, simple and comfortable. Will stay here again.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and facilities. Clean and comfortable room. Lots of parking.
Cons: Extras (breakfast, baby cot etc) seemed expensive. I would have preferred to pay slightly more and for these to be included in the price.
