Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to major sites, Fountain of Trevi and Spanish steps. Staff was helpful arranging taxi to airport and giving us a bag of treats as we left before breakfast. Of note, hotel is located on the first floor of a building which houses other offices.
My negative reviews are always flavored by what I know as a traveling American with children. Family room means they took out end tables and added 2 cots. Functional but tight. You must travel light in European cities as 4 people with 4 carry on bags....very tight and difficult to move around. Room itself very pretty with nice bathroom.
Location perfect and the apartments large and clean.
Breakfast OK but could have been better selection and the bread a bit dry.
The managers of this property are very professional and extreamly helpful at this hidden gem in Rome. This is the second time staying at this property in the past two years and the service was consistent. Our accomodation (both visits) was a two bedroom unit (apartment) run by the hotel; it was well appointed with a full kitchen (nespresso machine/pods provided) a welcome basket of biscotti on the kitchen table, a spacious living room, two bathrooms and two large bedrooms. It was spotless for our family of 4 with everything you could need including disposable slippers. We love the location of this propety as it is close to Termini Station, all the major historical sites, shopping, churches, restaurants and markets. We felt very safe in this hotel, and absolutley love Rome and all the people we met while traveling there. As for additional services, we utalized the car transprotation arranged by Hotel Cortina and we were graciously greeted by a driver upon arrival at FCO and brought to the hotel in a Mercedes. Thank you Hotel Cortina for your wonderful hopitality!
The shower curtain in the tub bathroom could serve beter on a curved rod. Fragrance sticks are lovely, but may not need to be as strong. We could have given them to housekeeping from the living room but decided to leave all in place as we were greeted by the space. There are quite a bit of stairs if you want to stay fit, and a lift for luggage or single riders. All not deal breakers for this property.
We got upgraded to an apartment around the corner from the hotel, it was perfect. Plenty of space, clean and quiet. Have nothing to complain about. Would stay again!
No gluten free or lactose free breakfast options. But overall good breakfast.
Breakfast was good and location excellent.
