Clean rooms and facilities
AMAZING location and the lady at the front desk was very kind. There is also free coffee and tea in the lobby.
The light in the bathroom is on a 1 minute timer. While you’re in the shower, you have to constantly stick your hand out and wave it to make sure it stays on.
Toilet and bathroom are very clean. And only about 30 minutes walk from pier 39
The rooms are so stuffy, but the fan is loud so you either can't sleep from the noise, or the heat. I wouldn't recommend a long stay here
Clean, good location
Had a very bad experience in this hotel with staff. They have been so rude and disrespectful towards me. I came to SF for a business trip but stayed a bit longer for a short holiday. I booked 6 nights. My debit card was not working in this hotel. The deposit is high. I could not pay for the last 2 nights as my maximum on my CC was reached. They said I could pay the other day and joked that in any way they had the deposit so they had the money secured. I interpretated that they were relaxed about it and was really happy with their flexibility. I withdrew most of the money that evening at their ATM but it also had a maximum and I thought I would pin the next day the rest. Probably there was some miscommunication in the team but I was called late in the next evening in my room when I was already deeply asleep saying that I had to pay. They said: you can decide to pay or leave. Everything I said to explain the situation made it worse from there. I got a very cold and angry tone and I decided to go downstairs to reception. It is a long story but I basically was threatened to be kicked out of the hotel quite seriously. They told me they wanted to call the police now if I didn't pay. Whatever the situation is, a customer should not be treated this way. I broke down in tears, felt ashamed as I was standing there in my pyjamas, and managed to pay most of the last nights with the money that I had. I am not at all someone (or look like someone) who would not pay and I was still there for the next 4 nights. The next day I did not receive any apologies, staff acted like nothing happened. Extremely cold. First time in my life that I take time to write a bad review but I felt so humiliated and unsafe. Especially for a women travelling alone but for everyone, I don't recommend staying here. If something non standard will happen or if you have a problem then the staff will be as cold as stone.
