The rock climbing wall was a hit and the hostess fabulous
Good location, restaurant, nice vagonette for sleeping. Best choice around if price is important
Lack of working kitchenette
Pleasant stay at this lovely guest house. We stayed just 1 night but could stay here longer. We lived in a nice, clean and comfortable room with a balcony. Very careful and hospitable hosts. Special thanks to Almut! A good place to travel to southern Bavaria.
We really appreciated the flexibility of the owners-we came late, we booked wrong number of beds, we wanted to relax after the opening times of the bar-it was all no problem, we were treated with great hospitality and warmth. Thanks for a friendly chat, we will definitely recommend your place!
We stayed in an unfinished "shed" ( it's listed as the chalet ), nothing but plywood, the light in the bathroom was an accent light behind a cabinet, so very little light inside of the shower and no mirror in the bathroom. Since there is no carpet on the floor / plywood, I ended up getting a splinter in my foot from walking across the unfinished floor. There are two mattresses on the floor "upstairs", which means you have to climb up this little ladder to get to them. So if you sleep with your head on the inside, you'll risk hitting your head on the roof when you wake up, if you sleep the other way you sleep right next to the open area where the ladder is. So we decided to sleep on the "sleeper" couch instead, big mistake. The pullout is basically a wooden box with fabric over it, so needless to say it was the most uncomfortable night ever. For dinner we expected more local cuisine, instead they offered burgers, pizza, lunchmeat with bread, but nothing really what we were hoping for, so we picked something to hold us over 'til breakfast since we were told it was a buffet, scrambled eggs and such. Big disappointment. There were some rolls lunchmeats and cheeses, jellies and hard boiled eggs, no scrambled eggs and no real buffet. There was a also boat right outside the shed, with people staying in that one and someone had parked so close to our entrance that with the gardenhose and whatever stuff stored right next to the entrance there was barely any room and I almost fell on my face trying to get around everything in the dark, since there was no outside light. I guess the people in the boat smoked next to our building, so we couldn't keep our windows open since it all came right into the room. So without any airflow it got hot fast.
