During a national health crisis the bathroom was very dirty. The floors in the entry and bathroom were nasty. The manager was supposed to contact me but never did. Silverware was dirty also.
Honestly, the rest of our stay was perfect. Our room was amazing and the rest of the staff we encountered were also great. When we first checked in, the staff was very helpful with directions and getting us settled into our room. The location of the hotel was perfect for what we had planned for the evening. We never had to go more than five miles for what we needed or had booked.
The employee who was working the front desk on the 3rd shift was awful. She was incredibly rude and hateful. I have never been made to feel so indigent or out of place. I was apalled. As someone who works in customer service, I might reconsider who I put at the front desk, regardless of the shift. They are the first face you see when you enter the hotel and they are the person your guests will contact if they have any questions or are in need of assistance. Emil did your beautiful hotel a disservice by treating your guests as if we were anything but. I try not to let this one incident define my entire experience at The Cheshire, however, my unpleasant encounter with this employee has left a bad taste in my mouth. All it takes is one bad egg.
Older hotel. Very clean. Good variety at breakfast. Parking is extra.
This hotel is so charming. Each room is name after a novel and its author. It is furnished with beautiful gothic antiques. Real working fireplaces add to the character of the old world charm. Can’t wait to visit again.
The parking area was a little strang.
