The view from hotel hallway. Good view of Famous landmark. The location was alive!
My stay was too short.
Breakfast was fair although it was free. Coffee did run out at one time. The room was comfortable although the bathroom, while clean, needs some updating. Views are not great as we looked out into the Parking Garage. The hotel is in the Central West End so very convenient to that area and all the restaurants, shops and bars. A cab or Uber can get you to the downtown area and Arch park very quickly.
The bathrooms need updating and there were too many Wash U hospital wheelchairs in the hallways.
The hotel was nice and quiet with it's own parking area, which was fantastic. You will have to pull up into their drive in order to get into the hotel, check in and get your key, their parking garage requires one of the keys in order to be able to pull through. The breakfast was really great, and the fresh baked cookies at night were fantastic. They have coffee on all night long which is wonderful. The beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms quiet and spacious. I really could not have asked for more with regards to where we were staying. Just up the road, within walking distance, is all kinds of wonderful eateries, including a wonderful little French restaurant that we truly enjoyed. This is definitely a place that we would come back to in the future. It's not far from the zoo or forest park, we never questioned our safety. Definitely worth the stay. We stayed here for our anniversary weekend get away and would do it again in a heartbeat.
There really isn't anything that we didn't like. As with most of St. Louis it is a little pricey but that's to be expected. The location for this hotel is prime and it is right next to Barnes Jewish hospital and Forest Park. The only downside I could see is the ability to get parked and checked in to the hotel but there is a semi-circle drive to pull in to for that.
The parking garage was under construction and it was difficult to get to and from.
The rooms lack light and are dark
