Great breakfast. Cozy and quiet bedroom. Nice view of the city and pleasant, happy and helpful staff!
The seagulls on the balcony!
Great location and friendly staff. Also good breakfast.
Clean small Rooms. Friendly staff.
No Parkingplaces. It´s a Hospital.
Very comfortable room with large window and spacious en-suite bathroom. The breakfast buffet was rich and tasty (but check breakfast times before booking if you’re not a morning person). I also found it quite special to share the breakfast room with new-born babies and happy new parents every morning. If you’re sceptical about the fact that the hotel is located inside a hospital, it should ease your mind to know that rooms are located on the same floor as the maternity ward so you’ll most likely only feel the good vibes a hospital can offer. The hotel restaurant also serves lunches and dinners at very reasonable prices while the reception is staffed 24 hours a day and sells drinks, sandwiches and personal care items. Wi-Fi in the common areas is good and I enjoyed working in the café or on the terrace overlooking the Årstavik bay. Bus number 3 stops directly outside the main hospital entrance, which is only a short walk from the hotel. The bus takes you all the way to Gamla Stan in about 30 minutes – depending on traffic - but you can get there quicker by getting off at Skanstull station and taking the metro to the city centre. The train station Stockolm Södra – where the commuter trains from Arlanda stop – is a mere 10-minute walk away, while the metro station Mariatorget is about 15 minutes away. And last but not least, Södermalm is a vibrant suburb full of cafés, bars and restaurants and a great place to start exploring Stockholm. I can definitely recommend Årstaviken hotel for your trip to Stockholm, but if you don’t like the idea of being in a hospital, then you should stay somewhere else.
Recommended for a peaceful stay in Stockholm. Staff was super, rooms clean and comfortable.
