Classic French hotel
Friendly, professional staff, very clean room & bathroom, Room & bathroom were tight but this is quite typical. Excellent location in center of old part of city near pedestrian streets. Public parking nearby was not overpriced.
Shabby carpet in room.
Central position, ideal for walking to the main tourist attractions an restaurants. Close to the shops. Very nicely decorated in the main public areas and the staircase has beautiful glass motifs on each floor along with very attractive ceilings and furnishings on each lobby. The lounge is very nicely set out and we were impressed by the decor throughout. Nice touch is the loan of the hotel umbrellas by the main door if it's raining.
Very difficult to locate as it is on a non- motorised traffic street and the satnav in our nearly new Volvo XC60 was totally useless once we reached the centre of the city. By luck we parked in the correct underground carpark accessed by the tram interchange at the Klber Square And a short walk to the hotel thereafter. The hotel will provide you with a discount ticket for the underground but we were not certain that it worked for us on leaving yesterday morning so remember to ask reception for the discount ticket. We understood that the hotel has its own carparking facility and when we asked about this we were told that it had to be booked at the same time as the room.
Great place in an outstanding location in a delightful small city!
Having to leave to go back to work.
The location was very good to access famous places in Strasbroug easily. Alss the receptionists were speaking good English.
It would be good if the check-in time is ealier. 4 pm seems to be a bit late.
Next to Kleber Square and the Galleries Lafayette department store, the Hotel Maison Rouge Strasbourg is only at 5 minutes walk from the famous "Petite France" and the Cathedral, major landmarks of the city. Famed stopover since 1387, the hotel has turned again into that mythical place to be where the heart of the city beats. With its warm, authentic and welcoming atmosphere, the house offers the elegance of a timeless place blending tradition, innovation and luxury. The recent renovation of the 131 rooms and suites has restored the original Art Deco design. In the cosy ambience of the wine bar and Winstub, next to the fireplace, you will savour local products and taste a selection of great wines. You will indulge in unique vinotherapy beauty care and treatments or just enjoy in a relaxing break in the Wellness room with sauna and hammam. The cabinets of curiosities and bookcases of the lounges display nods to the history of "la Maison Rouge" and to the treasures of Alsatian design and craft know-how.
