All you need properly when you are a solo traveler. I mean, after staying here you wont be one. Hot shower, good pressure, early an extended free breakfast (it's been lessening the quality though)
The a/c was always turned on even when it's freezing outside. The price could be more interesting. Most of the rooms have no windows. Get used to some homeless but it's a Sydney thing.
Location and facilities
The location is really good, just next door to the train station. Staff were friendly. I really liked the shared area and that there was pool table, playstation, board games and so on. Plenty of space in shared areas.
There were two quite big disadvantages: there were no windows in my room (I am not sure about the other rooms), so it was dar all the time and if you don't want to disturb your roommates, you have to use a torch or something all the time. Another thing is that there was no connection inside (I use Telstra). I was waiting for some work related calls and wanted to make some bank transfers that require SMS confirmation and I had to run outside for that which makes it inconvenient.
The beds were comfy enough, and the free wifi was fast. They provided free pizza on Friday night for all guests, which apparently happens every Friday.
I wish I had known what a crappy part of town this place is in. Directly opposite an injection room, three strip clubs, and a 24hr tobacconist... I was harassed on more than one occasion just waiting outside for an Uber. The rooms have no soundproofing and we could hear people talking, screaming, and having sex from 10pm through to 3am every night we stayed. The free breakfast was toast. Lol.
It was the cheapest accommodation I've found in Sydney that comes with a free breakfast. The place was easy to find and very convenient since it's in the city just beside the Kings Cross station. WiFi connection was excellent and very helpful when we need to search for things up. The ambience was nice and relaxing, and the staff are very friendly and caring.
This is not the place for you if you're not comfortable with bunk beds. It took me days to get comfortable since I'm not used to sleeping in this type of bed, and the blankets and covers seems like they weren't washed properly. There were no floor mats to dry our feet off after we use the bathroom. There was only one plug socket in our room, so we had to take turns in using them. The other one was in the bathroom which is inconvenient to use. Nevertheless, it was a nice stay!
