Not worth the money, unless you love the beach
Right when you walk out of the front doors, you have a wonderful view of the beach. The A/C worked well. The breakfast was decent, and the man working the desk in the morning was much more kind than the man working during check-in the previous afternoon.
The place is pretty old, ragged, and the first man working at check-in was quite unfriendly. I went to my room and was very underwhelmed for the price of the room. As I left my room and pulled the door shut, the handle came with me. I told the rude man at the desk and he acted like he jotted it down, but was clearly uninterested in fixing it. At night the street right outside the hotel gets pretty rowdy with lots of beer bottles, smoking and trash you have to walk through. You can definitely find a better hotel for the same price north of this place.
With a stay at Golden Beach Hotel Tel Aviv in Tel Aviv (Kerem HaTeimanim), you'll be steps from Tourist Information Office and 6 minutes by foot from Ben Yehuda Street. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and coffee/tea in a common area.
