The staff, the premises, the garden.
One of our party members faced flooding in his bedroom. The resort's direction first accused that member of not putting his bag on the luggage rack, insulted him and we discovered to our dismay that they don't have damage insurance! We lost a lot.
The site, the kindness of staff, the cleanliness.
We were a big party of 10. One bedroom was flooded and caused a lot of damage. We tried to find a solution with the director, she didn’t want to communicate and said that we had to take a lawyer. We are doing as she wanted, and we won’t come back in the same resort even though the place is great.
Small bungalows, heritage style with small balcony and amazing seaview. Nice Ayurveda Center, great and helpful staff.
When checked in was given a room that did nothing look like the heritage room I booked, however, staff was very kind and arranged to change the next day.
It is quite a large hotel, 90 rooms I think and spread over a hill. We were shown to our room which we did not accept and another. Finally on the 3rd we were allocated a very nice room with a balcony and sea views. The restaurant was pleasant. It is a about a 10 minute walk to some good shops and Taylor’s. (Turn right out of the hotel and go through the alley signposted to the church. Carry on passed the church and you will eventually come to the street). We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed our R&R from being on the road for 4 weeks. Most of the staff were very nice.
We didn’t like the different standards in the bedrooms. My advice is look at the room first. It’s quite a long walk to the beach down in a lift. It’s worth going at 7am to watch the fisherman bring in their catch though. It is very spread out and some rooms are a long way from the dining room. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with walking disabilities. The pool was also not very easy to get in and out off. Saying that though we had a pleasant stay.
Great location, lovely gardens and wonderful staff. Food was excellent, ayurvedic centre was good with superb therapists.
