Cons: When I arrive on reception the man don't explain nothing, no wifi code, no breakfast procedures, no smile, nothing and tomorrow on breakfast time the barman disturbing me 3 time ,in room was soo cold soo I'm disgusting and the bathroom its gor me only 2 stars soo

Pros: Lovely, clean, well appointed room with toiletries and USB charging in the walls (not so common in German hotels, we found). Very close walking proximity to all of the sites. There was an Irish pub nextdoor where we had the best fish and chips and evening chatting with the bartenders.

Cons: The mattress was very firm. Parking was a bit confusing.

Pros: 1. Very good, broad beds. Perfect for a proper sleep! 2. Nurturing, diverse breakfast

Cons: 1. my room had problems with the sewage - after I entered the room for the first time, I noticed the unpleasant smell from the toilet. Good thing is, I only stayed for one night. 2. the room cleaning starts at 9 am strictly - no matter if the guest had checked in yesterday and is going to check out today. I believe the staff should know about rooms that will likely need cleaning only after pending client checkout, instead of trying to get into the room at 9 am. Otherwise, the guest should hang out the ‚Do not disturb‘ sign permanently, just in case. 3. during breakfast, the staff removed my food from the table that had been just freed up by other guests. I did so to ‚reserve‘ the table, because there were no other tables since the restaurant/breakfast area is too small. 4. Breakfast area needs some replanning - table spoons are really hard to find and the order of foods is pretty mixed up: porridge is found among the hot dishes, whereas muesli is found in the other part of the room.

Pros: Perfect location for Trier Old Town, superb breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast.

Cons: A bit pricey for Trier, and the bar can get a bit crowded and noisy during the weekends.

Pros: Best location you could hope for to see all the important sites in Trier. Excellent breakfast. Good parking.

Pros: Half block from Porta Nigra. Parking if you need it. Staff speaks good English. Good size rooms.

Pros: Great location and perfect work done by staff. It's close to main city attractions and next to the nice bakery with fresh bread, confectioneries, grocery store. I loved especially the way to serve the coffee in corridor what makes it very appealing for all coffee lovers.

Cons: The service for the coffee served in the corridor was different - more rich in the evening - with some cookies and coffee cream available and next morning just coffee without any addition.

Pros: Nice staff and good parking facility. 2 min walk to the city center.

Pros: Very happy with our stay at Hotel Pieper. Room and bath were small, but up-to-date and space was well organized. Bed was comfortable. Location was generally quiet and an easy walk to train station and old city. Breakfast buffet was the best of our month-long travels in Germany--great variety and quite fresh--served in a lovely dining area.

Cons: No air-conditioning meant a warm room and necessitated leaving the window open, but a powerful, quiet fan was provided that helped circulate the air.

Pros: Great location just a short walk from the river and the centre of town. Very helpful staff, when I was delayed by a traffic jam and arrived late for check-in it was no trouble for the receptionist to hang on a few minutes. He seemed passionate about the city too. Great breakfast, the best on my journey, especially the little sausages!

Pros: Great location, very cozy and comfortable, clean, new and good design. Breakfast was perfect, many options and staff was friendly and helpful

Pros: Breakfast was great and the restaurant was very nice. One of the few smaller hotels we stayed in that had a full size stairway. The room was quite big, with a sofa, small table and soft chairs. Located outside of old-town about 10 minutes walk to the PortoNegro. Parking was provided on-site but is very limited

Cons: Bathroom was surprisingly small considering the size of the room.

Pros: I love this hotel. The staff are always friendly and patient with my very poor German. I think I am improving so its always good to practice on the long suffering staff. The food in the restaurant is really good. Plus as I've said before the hotel brews its own beer. What's not to like ?

Cons: stuff friendly , but bad educated 1) A hotel at that category, located in a Wine-area! should have a restaurant-manager , who coordinates the waiters , and knows about the offered wines and beers. we where 4 persons, payed at least 200 Euro for a dinner. food came to fast, and not coordinated , the stuff didn´t know about the wines, all where(too) young and hardly trained 2.) Breakfast : BIG disappointment : the buns (Brötchen) where NOT fresh!! maybe a day or 2 days old , just chrisped up , (that´s really embarassing ). The stuff (2 girls) where chatting , but not taking care the guests, dishes where not removed from tables, we where waiting too long time for coffee (chatting girls) ……

Pros: We stayed for one night at the hotel. We had a comfortable and quiet room with a nice clean bathroom. Although the hotel is a bit further out of town than we thought, it is on a direct bus route into the centre of Trier and only took about 10-15mins to get there. There is also plenty of parking at the hotel. The hotel also has its own brewery and we ate in the brewery restaurant in the evening. The food was very good and there was a nice cosy atmosphere.

Cons: The bar area of the hotel had a large TV screen where a football match was being shown. OK if you want to watch sports but not ideal if you just want a quiet drink. The area for meals was fine though.

Pros: Lovely room with balcony on the quieter side of the hotel. Excellent breakfast.

Cons: Shower doors had a large gap between them which meant that the shower room floor was always wet.

Pros: Friendly family run hotel. Very good breakfast. Clean and conformable room, good sized bathroom, we even had a lobby. Good selection of restaurants 5-10 mins walk along the river front.

Pros: The Hotel is easy to reach and quite close to the city center. There are parking lots in front of the building, although they are little small. The hotel is comfortable, they have a small bar (which we did not use), the breakfast room is cozy. The host is a nice guy, directly offering a sheet of paper with a map and important information, and recommending some restaurants nearby. The breakfast was really tasty and variable including fruits (Nevertheless you must be first to get the only croissant :-)

Cons: The mattress was a little hard and the pillows too soft. The room was a little cold, the small heater was not heating enough.

Pros: Great location, close to the old city and the river. River restaurants close by and old city 15 minute walk. Free parking on the premises and nice bar to relax after a good days walk.

Cons: Close to main road but shutters cut out most traffic noise otherwise great place.

Pros: Owner was absolutely wonderful. Pleasant and professional. Made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Location is excellent. Though our stay was quick, it was very enjoyable.

Cons: Name of hotel "Am Ufer" led me to think it would have a view of the river Mosel, that wasn't so but I shouldn't have assumed. Road in front of hotel can be noisy but room sufficiently isolated from the noise

Pros: The location for this small concern was perfect for our needs, their location was easy to find, check-in and check-out were simple. We were given a nice airy room, well appointed, with a bathroom containing a huge shower - unlike some we've been in this had good water pressure for an exhilarating effect. The WIFI was really good, easy to attach to and never dropped, as with a lot of locations - including large hotels !. Breakfast was a good hearty German one, with a tasty wide selection to choose from. The daily "what's on" sheet was a good plus, it gave lists of what was going on in Trier, and the surrounds. I'd recommend this as a place to stay, I'd like to stay there again.

Cons: It was posted there that they only took the German EC Card or cash only. On the booking site it was said that cards were accepted. Not entirely correct as it turned out that my Luxembourg Master card did function with them, later the host admitted they took V-Pay too. I have to admit the fire door to the staircase should warn people to duck the door frame, as for myself, as soon as I proceeded up to the first step, I bumped my head on the door frame, same on the way down, but nothing other to mention.

Pros: A great spead for breakfast. Our room was on the second floor with a terrace at the back, thankfully away from the traffic noise.

Cons: A kettle and tea and coffee facilties. The room was fairly basic.
