We had planned to have a spa day during our stay but when we arrived and tried to book some treatments we were told that this service was not going to be available this week. It would have been nice if they had let us know in advance so that I could have made other arrangements.

Pros: - This hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Mestre train station. - We booked a 279 sq ft Superior Double and were very happy with our room - bright, clean, spacious, wood floor, large bathroom, modern lighting, and our room also came with an electric tea kettle to make coffee/tea. - The check-in staff were very helpful. We bought a 24-hr transportation pass from the hotel and took Bus #2 in front of the Mestre train station to Piazzale Roma, then changed to vaporetto to visit the island sites. - The ATVO Fly Bus to the airports leaves from about 50 meters off the Mestre train station, but due to luggage, we walked to the train station and took a taxi to Marco Polo airport. The taxi fare was fixed at 35 Euro. - We'll not hesitate to stay at the same hotel in the future if we were in the vicinity.

Cons: The curtains in our did not quite block out the light on the sides, so the room was not in total darkness at night. Would have been good to have fly screens on the windows so we could leave them open ans not have to use air conditioning.

Pros: This hotel is right across the street from the Mestre train station. Each morning, when I woke up, I would just buy a cheap train ticket and cross over to the main island of Venice. This was ideal for me, as staying on the mainland saved me hundreds of dollars and was still very convenient. If you have to stay on the mainland like I did, the Tritone is a good location with good rooms, a good staff, and everything you'd need as a base camp to explore Venice.

Cons: There only thing that I didn't like is that the surrounding area is very drab, but I didn't expect more. I knew that it wasn't going to be in a very fancy area, but that really didn't bother me because the location was ideal for what I needed.

Cons: Here there is only a minor point worth mentioning. It had been my impression that when I booked the hotel the breakfast was included but the receptionist informed me that this was an additional €4 per person per day (in my case €8 x 7 days). I made no arguments and paid it though I will make sure to check this in future.

Pros: We were coming off a ship and they kick you off by 8 and we were at the hotel before 9am. The hotel was more than willing to keep our luggage. The room and bathroom were spacious and both were clean. Bed was comfortable and did its job for 2 nights. I’m a cold sleeper and the A/C worked okay. Took a while for the room to cool. The room requires your key in a slot to make everything work. Key comes out and lights and A/C shut off within 30 seconds. Receptionists were kind and helpful and provided a map to catch the bus to Venice. We had breakfast included and it did the job. Eggs, toast, breads, fruits, meats, cheeses, juice, coffee, tea and pastries to choose from. The photos on website are accurate. The location was ideal as I knew I didn’t want to stay on Venice Island. A short walk to the bus stop and a 15 minute ride to the island.

Cons: We were so tired the first night we went down to restaurant in lobby. It was terrible. Everyone was complaining, service was slow and food was not good. I got the basic pasta. It was hard, had no flavor but it was full of salt. Looked like box cheese mix and tasted like salted cardboard. I got sick while I was watching everyone else pick around their food. Our waiter was rude when I told her the meal wasn’t good. After 10 minutes she slammed down the menu and said order something else. I didn’t. You’re best bet is to eat before you get in or walk to pizza place around the corner.

There are restaurants, drugstores, coffee shops, etc. on the same square or in the next one. The breakfast is very good and I wish I had time to explore all options. The staff is amazing. My husband and my son had a food intoxication and we hade to extend our staying. They were very comprehensible. They gave me suggestions about first aid, taxi and drugstore. They calmed me down and provided me with the important information I needed to fix the problem. 5 stars to Mrs Antonella Bottacin she is great. Thank you so much for your helping!

Cons: The front desk gave us a room but once in the room it was not ready yet. Then we moved to another room which was not very clean, with dust on the floor, the 3rd bad was not prepared and the clean towels were not there. But the staff team arranged everything to promptly make this room ready for us.

Cons: The place seemed dead. All the lights in the hallways were off, the water in the shower fluctuated temperatures when used (like it hasn't been used for an extended period of time), I only bumped into one other guest in my building during my 1 day stay, and I could tell from the outside how many rooms were occupied - I'd say around 10% at best.
This place was huge! Prior to arrival, I didn't think the size of the hotel would be a problem, but once I got there, I found it very annoying. The restaurant was in another building, and we had to go outside and around the waterfront to reach it.
Reading the other reviews, I can confirm it's true - the service is mediocre at best. The staff provide seem to have no sense of urgency to help. Our dinner took very long they were unaccommodating. When I asked if I could add chicken to my pasta (which was not on the menu, but chicken and pasta as separate items were), they acted as if I had just walked into the catholic church and pissed on the baby Jesus himself. The service was slow. Upon checkout, I was told by the desk attendant the person with the authority to complete the task was unavailable and I had to wait 10 minutes. This place feels very understaffed.
Given the small size of the staff, the seemingly nonexistent guests, the dim lighting and the infrequently used water pipes, I'd venture to guess NH is loosing some serious money on this investment. Granted, I did visit in May, which is probably a slower season.

Cons: This is not a 4 star hotel, the room was clean but small and full of cheap plastic furniture. The bathroom was clean but again everything felt cheap. The room was noise as you could here all movements from the rooms ether side and there were pigeons nesting on the roof out side the window ( I didn’t realise they could be so noisy at 01.00 ) The hotel is having a major Extentions and it really was like walking into a building site until you entered the reception. Oh and if you like to watch a little Tv before you go to bed think again as there are no English speaking channels.

Cons: The interior is very old and dated.old carpets however the cleaning staff tried.the hotel is located of the motorway and very noisy when windows open.And just to warn any black or brown/Asian guest, the further you drive to the outscarts of Venice, the more racist and stuck up the locals are. We found them cold rude and codecending . They were rude to each other too., despite paying for access as visitors.

From the breakfast area on a recent business trip. There large crowds of travel groups, their managers and helping staff and drivers. It was like a highway motel. Loud and crowded. The hotel staff was least bit cooperative after the incident. I had to request a lot to get me a cab to the police station without being able to pay the cab. They did not even care to follow-up. Because they care about tourist volumes. Neither am I nor my company execs. are ever going to stay here.

Cons: Shower doors did not close properly. Not the best location and hotel staff cautioned us about car break-in at public parking places near to the hotel. I would not call it 4 star based on US standards.

Cons: It was horrible! When we came in hotel the lady on the reception was very rude, she acted like we are some stupid people and we don’t know how to tap on tablet. Afterwards we were sleeping in room without ability to open the windows. There was no air,we couldn’t sleep all night. Hotel has some smell of old. We took rooms but there wasn’t any notice about construction works. So you can’t charge rooms without any notice for this. This is not safe for guests. Then, I’ve sent mail that this is not what we have booked, they didn’t answer at all! This is not professional. They are not welcoming.

Cons: The photo of the room shown in this ad definitely was NOT our room!!! Our room was small, the bed was really uncomfortable (way too hard) and the pillows were uncomfortable. I woke up during the night several times with back pain (from the hard mattress). This pain carried through the entire rest of the next day. The breakfast was so-so and set up poorly. There were probably 30 others in the room trying to get food and there was very little room between the occupied chairs at the tables and the food and drink stations. People were crowding others out just to get to those stations.

Cons: Feeling that you are on a train station. As it is a short stay hotel, you don't have a feeling that someone takes care of you as a guest. We have been in a nosyest room ever, room near the elevator, haven't slept so much, and has been with kids. Isolation beetween rooms are poor.

Cons: Overall I felt the place was not worth 4 stars, mainly because the bathroom had old fixtures and fittings, the room had not been cleaned properly at my arrival (old customer's food leftovers in the minibar fridge as well as dust and bits of rice around the room etc). I was provided no toiletries except for the last day. Room furniture was quite cheap. I believe a refurbishment and a more attentive room cleaning would really be needed for making this hotel shine.

The big bonus l wasn't expecting was the closeness to the town square. A real Jewel, with so many great restaurants and large-ish Mall close by. The bus stop into Venice is directly in front hotel and very short journey. The reception staff were fantastic, very helpful and informative. A great wine bar to be found on other side of sq. Wasn't impressed with bar / food place beside hotel.

Cons: People on reception need to go on a PEOPLE SKILL Training Course...A SMILE GOES A LONG WAY...if not happy in their jobs.. then CHANGE!!!!! Everything else very good apart from no mirrors in all the hotel....need a full length mirror in a room, one mirror in a room not enough.

Pros: It is not a four star hotel. The room was dark .the worst bit was the shower floor , it had a bit off plastic over it was like you where going to fall into the room below. It is the worst hotel I have stayed in. We booked for two nights and left after 1.

Cons: The rooms were hot and did not have air conditioning because it was winter, but we are hot natured so it was a little stuffy. Breakfast was not included.

Pros: Spacious room and great location. The bus stop that takes you to Piazzale Roma is right across the street.
Cons: The A/C is turned off in October. They had to bring us a fan. The WiFi was free but extremely sloooow. The description said there was a shuttle and that is not true. They'll call you a taxi and tell you how to catch the bus but that's it.

Cons: When I stayed there the air conditiong didnt work properly and that was really bad, as the wheather was hot and wet. I mentioned that to the staff but things continued to be bad. I felt uncomfortable due this situation.

Cons: - the room wasn't as shown on the pictures - it needs renovation, everything was old and used, one lamp (made of plastic) was broken, the TV was near the ceiling right above the main lamp in the room, it needs fresh wall painting, the bathroom was with an old and broken curtain, broken tales all over the bathroom - very thin walls and you can hear every talk outside or coming from the next-door room - very old hair-drier but still working

Pros: Location near Mestre train station. Very good value for money. A small but nice room with private bathroom at a very cheap rate for the area.
Cons: Noisy. All noises, like from plumbing if people went to the bathroom at night, dropped something or came home late, were really loud. Made it hard to sleep. Place very worn.

Cons: The hotel is falling apart on the outside. On the inside, all the equipment is outdated, specially bathroom feels bad. Blankets were dirty. Not at all as it looks on the pictures.

Cons: Room smelled like cigarette smoke, there was a random loud sound like something scraping or whistling. The room was not as pictured. The bed only had a box spring but no mattress. It had one sheet folder and resting on top of the bed spread so we had to make the twin beds up ourselves. Our worst stay in 3 weeks of traveling all over Italy.

Cons: Noisy, noisy as hell. The location is the worst. Do not book this place if you wanna rest. The guy in the lobby (can we call that lobby?) takes to much time to do his tasks. Sometimes he is not there. He may be kind but what I needed was agility. I had to wait for 30 minutes to check-in because he was arguing with a customer, but listen to me, arguing, he was not looking for a solution, just arguing.
