Pros: From the second I arrived at the front door to a funny note to the last breakfast here, I’ve felt so warmly welcomed. Liz and Oli are truly beautiful people as is Waterford itself. The bed was extremely comfortable and there is everything you could possibly need as a home away from home.

Pros: This family run B&B is meticulously well kept with the owners paying attention to every detail, they are very welcoming but not intrusive. It is cheerful painted with lovely artwork displayed and enclosed courtyard with seating area. Good location as regards distance from city centre but you would need to be vigilant at night walking in the area.
Cons: Shared bathroom, having said that the facilities were spotless, I do think longterm an ensuite to each bedroom would be a worthwhile investment and allowing this B&B the recognition it deserves.

Pros: The property is beautiful, inside and out. Very neat castle ruins onsite. The host, Des, was incredibly kind and helpful at every opportunity. Parking was easy and secure. Bed was comfy, and the view outside my window was exquisite. Great pub very close by for a last-minute evening meal. It was such pleasure to stay here. Loved the sauna (uncommon for B&Bs!)

Pros: It was an amazing experience! We were greeted with a spot of tea in the parlor when we first checked in. Perfect start of our vacation as it revived us from the flight. Looked like a chateau with remnants of a castle next door. It was set on a green lush hill with beautiful gardens around the property. Had dinner at a great spot The Holy Cross on our proprietors recommendation. Had a nice fire set for us when we returned and enjoyed the beautiful rooms with lovely antique settings. Breakfast in the morning was beautifully presented and delicious! Enjoyed the great food and time spent with our host Des learning about the local history. Plan to put this on our list of places to return to!!

Pros: Everything about this property is beautiful, including the gorgeous decor, the large rooms, the gardens and the amazingly picturesque ruins of the the castle, manor house and other buildings. The owner Des is a most welcoming host who provides a relaxed environment, a delicious breakfast and accommodation which is exceptional.

Newrath House is an early 19th-century family residence, surrounded by beautiful gardens and overlooking the River Suir. Guests can relax in the garden, sun room and drawing room of the property, while helpful staff can provide city maps and recommendations for trips or restaurants. Pros: Susan is a lovely host. Attentive, informative and friendly. Breakfasts are wonderful with homemade scones and pancakes that set you up for the day. We spent a lovely afternoon at Kilkenny on her recommendation which we would have missed otherwise. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Thank you Susan.

Pros: we stayed for one night in the lodge when we arrived at the lodge the fire lighting was just a great bonus as it felt like luxury straight away. we cooked in the lodge which was great and found that we had everything we needed. all five of us said we would return in the near future it was a great experience

Pros: Very friendly and welcoming at check in. Room was well stocked with teas and coffees,and the breakfast was great! A lady called Liz was working there who always greeted me by my name in the mornings for breakfast which added a very personal touch. You don't get that in many places!

Pros: From arrival to departure nothing was too much trouble whether we needed a taxi calling, food ordered or just a general query all of our needs were met in a friendly and courteous manner. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and there was an abundance of tea or coffee on offer. The rooms were bright and clean, as was the whole of the house, and our room was attended too every morning. Having found this accommodation by accident it was a gem of a find and I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: The only thing I could find wrong with our room was that it was just a little too cold for us even with the heating on. We had a twin room and the view was stunning but it was just a little chilly and on thinking about it I should have mentioned it at the time.

Had the usual bed throw comforter that is the going thing in hotel stays but came with the common sense approach of providing blankets also since 90 % of the time, the bed comforters are way over the top and much too hot! Pros: This hotel is right on the water, with excellent views, and a nice sized room. Close to the center of town, but far enough away that it's peaceful at night. The restaurant and bar downstairs had great food with reasonable prices, and the staff was great.
Cons: The walls were a little thin (I could hear my neighbor snoring), and the mattress was a little worn out for my taste. The staff also forgot to mention that I had to insert my room key into a wall outlet to turn the electricity on. All very minor though.

Pros: The front desk lady (sorry I didn't get her name) was super friendly and helpful. This was our first night in Ireland after a really long travel day so it was nice to have someone friendly greet us. The restaurant dinner was just ok but we were too tired to try to find someplace else.
Cons: The bed was way, way too soft. It actually gave my husband a back ache. But the room was clean.

Pros: The actual location was the partner B&B The Vee, Helen is such a warm and welcoming host and does an amazing breakfast!!!

Cons: Street noise was very loud, lots of people coming up and knocking on the main door in the middle of the night. Owner vacummed outside my door at 9.30 at night. And I constantly heard him opening and closing and locking doors as he moved around the bnb. Did not get a good night's sleep. The shower also needs to be larger and more modern.

Pros: Manager Graeme very pleasant & welcoming. Ordered Taxi for me & very accommodating with other requests. Room 6 - lovely triple room for 1! Rashers & sausages for breakfast good & lots of tea - good value for €40. A nicely decorated house & garden.
Cons: Could hear road traffic (not too bad on Sunday a.m.)& people upstairs (carpeted floors might help). TV only had Irish channels. Continental breakfast selection didn't look so appealing. Towels & sheets - new ones would really improve feeling of luxury to match decor. {Credit Card was charged in advance & then asked to pay cash, apparently Credit Card will be refunded. This arrangement should be made clearer on property description.}

Pros: This hotel is right on the water, with excellent views, and a nice sized room. Close to the center of town, but far enough away that it's peaceful at night. The restaurant and bar downstairs had great food with reasonable prices, and the staff was great.
Cons: The walls were a little thin (I could hear my neighbor snoring), and the mattress was a little worn out for my taste. The staff also forgot to mention that I had to insert my room key into a wall outlet to turn the electricity on. All very minor though.

Pros: We really liked the quality of this hotel in every way. Rooms were roomy and had all the facilities we needed. Staff very helpful over all aspects of stay. Food and variety in the restaurant was very good.
Cons: On a warm night it was noisy on the front outside so we had to close the window and use the fan to stay cool.

Pros: Bed was comfortable. The room was quiet at night. The staff were really nice.
Cons: The main restaurant area in Waterford was a bit far from the hotel. The room was extremely warm, we needed to lower it but didnt help much. Shower was a bit broken and when having pressure was moving, we had to hold it with the hand. Some of the main plugs in the room were intermittently working.

Pros: My wife and I stayed one night at the Fitzwilton. We really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very helpful and our room was great. Unfortunately, the one night we stayed there, the restaurant was not open, but there were lots of great restaurants within walking distance. We definitely plan on coming back to Waterford and when we do, we'll probably stay at the Fitzwilton again.
Cons: The parking was pretty rough. I circled through the "parking garage" three times before I finally realized that I was just going to have to cram my car into a space. Glad I got there when I did, because if we had showed up much later, we would have been out of luck.
