Pros: Bed was very comfortable
Cons: Noisy pipes while running bath , room underneath complained and sent a member of staff to our room (43) this was a bit annoying as had to get out of the bath to answer the door , the staff member was polite and apologetic though .

Pros: The bed was comfortable, room was very nice and the breakfast was great. The area was also very nice and the locals were very friendly.
Cons: Heating in the room wasn't working and there were no heaters available so had to ask for an extra duvet. In the morning the receptionist told us it must have been switched off. It definitely was not switched off, it was broken. So not happy about that.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Beryl was absolutely lovely. The room and house was clean to an impeccable level with attention to detail on even the smallest of things, from serving complimentary afternoon tea and cake to extra amenities in the room such as cotton buds etc as well as a large collection of new magazines and books to read. The bedding was high quality Egyptian Cotton and Marks & Spencer inners (I checked because it felt like a dream) which ensured a fantastic night's sleep. The breakfast was above all expectations, from a continental with lovely fresh fruit to A La Carte Eggs Benedict or Full English Breakfast. The attention to detail was unsurpassed with breakfast and tea/coffee served in authentic Bone China. All the compliments to the chef as our breakfast was absolutely delicious (made with high quality fresh ingredients) and afternoon cake was a delicious gourmet banana cake. The staff were exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful. And the resident cat, Willow was an absolute pleasure (bless his 16 year old heart)
Cons: Nothing, our stay was perfect.

Cons: There were a fair number of rules which could feel slightly inhospitable at times.

Pros: Lovely comfortable bed
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Right by the cathedral and within 5minutes walk to everywhere
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was heavenly. The breakfasts though continental were generous. The managers Miles and Melissa were super friendly, very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. As a mature student I needed to take study materials with me and even found me a quiet space with long table to work at. They also made sure that I had cups of tea to drink while studying!! Have stayed here 4 times now and looking forward to No. 5!!
Cons: Nothing, we had no problems and everything was clean and well maintained. Shame no longer doing cooked breakfasts though.
7.1 Good
Pros: Room was clean and bed linen was lovely.
Cons: Breakfast was poor as they had run out of all pastries one morning and very little ham and cheeses on both days and as this is a continental breakfast this left you with very little choice. Second night there was a party and after midnight there was a lot of shouting and running up and down the corridor and apparently there was no manager to sort it, this went on for a couple of hours, very poor for the amount of money we paid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location. Literally across the street from the cathedral and great value for money.
Cons: Room was compact but, but comfortable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was warm, clean, had all the facilities I needed, the bed is comfortable and, is straight across the road from Wells Cathedral, with shops a mere stroll down the rd, Great location. The staff are lovely.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were v. helpful with local information and bus schedules. Bed was new and v. comfy. I enjoyed both an eve. meal and the included full breakfast. The room was fine, a single room so small but well equipped. The hotel is being refurbished, so the one drawback was the bathroom. Hopefully, it's next on the list. While everything worked, it clearly has not been updated yet.

Pros: Nice welcoming from Chris, lovely warm comfy room and bed, nice breakfast in the Conservatory, lovely spot in Somerset. All good.

6.3 Good
Pros: We chose the B&B for the on-site parking for my motorcycle and close proximity to the centre and cathedral which was great. Big room overlooking the car park at the front! Secure access by coded entry, great idea. Excellent WiFi! Julie, the lady looking after the B&B was very nice and helpful. Plenty of breakfast choice except for a cooked breakfast (eggs only) but we did know that before we booked!
Cons: We had to ask for the bed linen to be changed as it was left from the previous guests! We cleaned the bathroom ourselves as it was a little dirty from the previous guests. The shower was not very powerful but had plenty of hot water available! The crockery in the room was also a little dirty which we also cleaned.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good as always. Staff are very good and friendly. Look forward to my next stay.
Cons: Room 12 a great little room but finding a used cup and saucer in the bathroom sink was a surprise. Neither rubbish bin had a liner in so didn't use them. Only free electrical sockets under the desk are difficult to access. All minor observations. Food starter olives and breads; served with only one type of bread normally four. Main meal ready before starter finished steak was dried out under the hot lamps. Not the best of my visits but will use again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a lovely place to stay, excellent value for money. A beautiful view with excellent facilities, it was great to have a pool with a proper deep end to do some swimming! Staff were super friendly and helpful. A very pleasant stay I’ve been recommending it to everyone :)
Cons: Superb, no complaints
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A very nice hotel with helpful staff and lovely food. Our initial room hadn’t been prepared, but the staff changed us instantly to a better room without excuses or asking us to wait while they sorted it. Basic customer service, I know, but still nice to be treated as a valued guest. There are comfortable places to relax and a great view from the balcony.
Cons: Be prepared, as it is an old building there are a lot of stairs.

Pros: Bar food was not to bad. Breakfast was a little sparse on the first day , I don't think there were many quests. Sunday breakfast was fine.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay good room very clean nice friendly staff and good food
5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff did their best but hotel overrun with families for the weekend. Not our idea of a relaxing weekend break.
Cons: Breakfast was inedible, bar was overrun, gym was overly busy. Not the fault of the hotel but had Kayak provided them with our contact details then they could have warned us and we could have changed our plans.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Food from the bar, reasonably priced and tasty. Complimentary room upgrade very welcome.
Cons: Only the two singles = double bed idea. Google maps idea to drive several miles down a one track road in the dark. Better to leave at junction 22 of M5 and travel on bigger roads except for the last mile.

Pros: Room was good size, nicely decorated and quiet, bed large and very comfortable, big modern bathroom. Food was excellent.
Cons: Breakfast was very busy, had to wait for tables to be cleared but didn't seem to be enough staff. No white bread left for toast, fruit and pastries not replenished. Do not object to self service but had to que for a long time for drinks with only one machine for coffee and same machine for hot water, machine quite slow. No saucers or tea spoons. Breakfast was good when it came but we felt a bit rushed and then abandoned as the staff were preparing for a wedding fair. This hotel is gearing itself up to be a very nice wedding venue but it will be a shame if they make their other guests feel second rate.
