Customers should be advised that the Sixt rental counter in the airport is closed from 1600 until 2300 daily. This is VERY important when you consider that about 1/2 of the flights arrive during those hours. Additionally, there is no signage posted advising of the hours of operation on the counter; there were 2 phone numbers posted, neither were answered. I was able to pick my car up the next day, fortunately, however since I rented the car through Kayak, I was charged for the first day, even though I was unable to pick up the car. Otherwise, very friendly once you are there during their hours of operation.

The shuttle never showed up, called multiples times nobody answered, we ended up walking in a temperature 90+ heat all way to the place. Got there they didn’t even know customers were waiting for pick up at the airport. The price was good but just because of all the hustle to try to pick up the car will think twice to choose this company again.

It was an easy process. We arrived about midnight and called for shuttle service. They were to the airport in about 5 minutes. A few minutes of paperwork (bring insurance card) and we were on our way. Drop off was even quicker.

Staff was execellent- but because of covid-19 counter measures- had to wait outside and do transaction through small window opening in trailer and in facial mask.

The price/value was great, and the rental extension over the phone was a simple and easy process without any price-gouging.

Cons:

During this Covid19 lockdown, the Alamo office shutdown early and nearly left me stranded in the middle of nowhere with no way of getting out. Calling the head office or local office gave zero help. I only got the car by yelling from outside the gate until I got the attention of the worker in the office, and then convincing her to allow me to fulfill the reservation. If that hadn't happened I would've been completely stranded in the middle of nowhere for 24hrs

I was pleased with the vehicles performance.

Cons:

The gas rating they gave me at the office was in accurate with what was in the tank. The agent also asked for my full declaration page of insurance versus proof of insurance. After I returned the vehicle I was still contacted ba text to return the vehicle or extend my contract.

Due to flight cancellation I had to travel to different airport and drop off car at different location and was charged additional cost. I asked Hertz if the could work with me to waive the cost since the change in drop location was out of my control. They would not even attempt to assist.
