Pros: Staff was exceptional...!!
Pros: Great free breakfast, laundry for guests, friendly staff and quiet rooms with great bedding.
Cons: No negatives at all!
Pros: Large room, comfy bed and pillows
Cons: Noise from pool and water slide. Pool times weren't monitored and vibration from pool pumps went all night.
Pros: I liked everything about this hotel. The front desk staff were excellent, the room was clean, and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast was fresh and very tasty.
Pros: Every thing
Pros: Room arrangement. Kingsize bed in a bedroom with door making a bedroom separate from bath/living areas.
Pros: My kids liked the waffles for breakfast, good variety of items. The water slide was also a treat and the pool is very warmly heated, which was nice for mom. For Dinner, Amherst has a gem of a BBQ restaurant 3 minuets away by car. Food was fantastic.
Cons: Can't help when some other parents don't keep their kids in check when at the pool.
Pros: Breakfast was very hectic...too small a space for that many people. A half an hour later no one was there though so a hard call. Didn't get a chance to try all the food - was was too crowded for me. What I ate was ok.
Cons: Smoke alarm went off. Apparently if someone showers and leaves the door open this may happen...happily it was only 10 pm.
Pros: The staff was amazing. Very helpful in finding a good place to have dinner. We swam and hot tubbed (just the two of us) for over an hour ---- very relaxing. Breakfast was perfect continental. This was our last night in Nova Scotia, and a very much needed break from the "touristy" stuff. Thank you so much. Every detail was taken care of!
Cons: nothing negative to say :)
Pros: for a family gathering and many people were staying at the same place so we loved that were were able to use the big room off the registration desk and everyone fit in and were able to catch up
Cons: Everything was perfect
Pros: I loved the initial appearance of the hotel. It was clean and well lit (we arrived at night). The staff was super helpful and the room had space and awesome pillows!
Cons: The only issue we had was some noise from the highway.

Pros: Very clean, staff was great, nice place to stay and will definitely stay again!
Cons: Nothing really, it gave us what we paid for
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean room.
Cons: It's rather outdated, door to exterior is damage and very difficult to open and room smelled, musty, maybe even cigarettes. Luckily we had some deodorizer to change the smell.

Cons: I couldn’t find a charging station for my devices.
Pros: Breakfast was perfect. Loved the coffee. Overall no complaints. Perfect.

Cons: Breakfast could have had more choices. The butter was frozen and could not be spread.
Pros: Breakfast included.
Cons: Using paper plates and plastic utensils In breakfast room
Pros: Breakfast was good with lots of variety. Really liked that it included eggs! The location was easy to find.
Cons: I had booked for 3 people. The second bed was a hide-a-bed which was not really comfortable, nor did it leave much space to move around. Could not get out patio doors unless we folded up bed.
Pros: The breakfast was fine and I do appreciate have a breakfast included with my hotel stay. The hotel was situated a short drive from the downtown area where we were attending a 2 day workshop at Deanne Fitzpatrick's Studio. Amherst is a lovely town with many fine eateries.
Cons: I have no complaints at all.
Pros: Great staff
Pros: Friendly staff, nice accommodations, good location, quiet and clean.
Pros: Breakfast and attendants were excellent. Older place but well maintained.
Cons: No pool or exercise room.
Pros: It cost more than most of our hotels did during our trip but they had power after hurricane Dorian and where I was staying didn't.
Pros: The a/c,the room,the bed,the absolutely fantastic staff!!24/7 coffee!!
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Staff was helpful and welcoming, the room was clean and well located.
Pros: Friendly staff, fair standard
Cons: Noisy fridge.
Pros: Everything. The room was extremely clean. Loved that you could park right in front of the room.
Cons: We liked everything. Beds were absolutely comfortable.
With a stay at Tantramar motel in Sackville, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Mount Allison University and Sackville Waterfowl Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It was really great, room are beautiful and clean, the owner was so kind and the breakfast was delicious !! I absolutely recommend it !!!
Pros: The couple who now run this aging motel are doing an exceptional job. Especially the breakfast, which, unlike the usual selection of inauthentic bagels, dry cereals, coffee and not very good juice, is made and served by them at a table. Not an especially great breakfast, but served with charm and efficiency and a bit of conversation. An old fashioned bed and breakfast in a fifties motel.
Cons: The accessories -- soap, shampoo, glassward (plastic cups) could be quite a lot better fairly easily. The bathroom fixtures could be improved, but not easily, obviously, and they served.
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The scenery was nice and it was quiet.
Cons: They did not inform us that there was breakfast. The coffee machine had not been cleaned and there was a dirty mug. They provided coffee the first day but no milk. ( when asked said they did not provide milk). The shower curtain was mildewed in several places.
Pros: The owners are so helpful and kind. They really care about their business. The room was large and fully equipped.
Cons: Had some challenges with WIFI but they did genuinely try to help.
Pros: Best hosts we came across in Canada.....nothing was to much trouble. Fresh cooked breakfast as well.
Cons: Fans in the room slightly noisy....but only if you used them
Pros: Very friendly and courteous reception. Large, clean room. A lovely stop.
Pros: Easy to find. Quiet. Clean.
Cons: The TV did not work well.
Pros: The rooms were clean and adequate for an overnight. The bed was comfortable and had lots of pillows. I was pleased there was an empty fridge and a table and couch in the room. Didn’t even turn the tv on. There was breakfast with the room and that was good. Waffles and oatmeal with plenty of coffee.
Cons: The location was good because it was right off the highway and really simple to find since the signs could be seen from the highway, but Sackville is 30 minutes from Moncton so in that way the location is slightly inconvenient if enjoying a trip to Moncton.
Pros: Excellent breakfast, fabulous customer service, will return next time and stay there.
Pros: This is not a modern Big Chain motel. It is however a very decent motel with friendly and helpful Owner/Operators. My room was clean and comfortable, and a good breakfast was served. Location just off the TransCanada was perfect for my needs.
Located in Sackville, Marshlands Inn is within a 15-minute walk of Sackville Waterfowl Park and Mount Allison University. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location is perfect. It is clean.
Cons: We only saw one staff member. He seems to be the host, front desk clerk, and waiter. When we arrived he was sitting at a desk piled high with papers, in an office that was a mess, piled high with papers. He seemed totally disinterested in even getting out if his chair. We had booked months ahead through booking.com. When we arrived the inn seemed not to have any other guests but he tried to stick my husband and I in a room with two single beds on one floor and put our friend on the third floor in a tiny room with the bathroom across the hall. We never asked for the cheapest rooms in the inn so we were unhappy. We got different rooms beside each other but we both had to pay more to get them. The brochure in the room said breakfast started at seven but he told us it would have to be at eight. We arrived at the main building at 7:55, the doors were locked, not a soul in sight. Soon after, we saw him drive in and we walked back to the building. No apology, he let us in and then proceeded to turn the lights on In the building and we followed him to the dining room. He then bought us menus. We ordered tea and coffee which he brought, hot and nicely presented. Then he came back to take our orders. I ordered straight from the menu, fresh fruit and whole wheat toast. He tells me there is no fresh fruit! I changed my order. He brought our breakfast promptly .We enjoyed it. We left right after breakfast. We have stayed there before many years ago and had fond memories of our stay. Not this time, we will never go back. He mentioned that the following weekend was university homecoming and that they were fully booked! I hope they were better prepared!
Pros: historic building with unique aesthetic, clean and comfortable
Cons: under-manned - very slow service when dining and checking out
Despite having a reservation, we were initially told there was no room available. After some repairs were finished, we were accommodated but the delay in checking in was not welcome.
Pros: Loved the old Inn and the dinner was deliicious.
Cons: A bit over the top in terms of decorations. Stuffed animals in our room were not required. The potpourri scent in the carriage house which required us to move to the main Inn. DFinner was very late because the owner had too much to do. Needs a chef and server so he can just look after guests and reservations. Understand that his wife was hospitalized but he will be too if he does not get more help.
Pros: Beautiful old home. I stayed in a lovely room in the carriage house where dogs are welcome. Highly recommend it.
Pros: The location is great. Beautiful back yard and gardens. Bed was super comfortable.
Cons: Hard to explain...just a very sad vibe. Such a beautiful old house with tons of potential. But...the owners seem to just be over it. No greeting or hospitality, which feels strange. I've Never been anywhere like that, and I've traveled a lot. The dolls totally creeped me out. And even though some of the furniture is lovely, it's all too dark and heavy. Not cosy at all. It's really too bad, because this place could be great. But it needs someone who really loves running an inn.
Cons: Outdated, run down, no coffee making facilities. Office was a total mess.
Cons: The fellow at check-in was a little catty about our booking.com reservation. We needed a slightly different room and he gave us the gears about selecting the "cheapest option".
Pros: Loved the beautifully decorated and maintained public rooms and magnificent wood panelled dining room. We were in a less expensive Carriage House room, but this was very spacious and comfortable with en-suite bathroom with bath, and quality mattresses and bedding.
Pros: Nice room but some cobwebs, thought I had booked a queen or double be but had to pay extra for that
Pros: A beautiful Victorian home decorated in that style. It was a pleasant surprise to find that dinner was served at the inn and it was delicious.
Cons: The guest rooms were also in the Victorian style -- fewer knicknacks and a modern bathroom would have been more to our taste
Pros: Decor and charm make this place truly outstanding. Very convenient location to walk around the town. Dining is elegant. I was traveling alone and the room was perfect for my needs. I would definitely recommend it for a romantic couples escape... not so much for families.
Cons: I think they may have been a bit short handed, it was hard to find desk staff...may be a temporary thing. I was surprised that the private bathroom associated with my particular room was actually across the hall... but it wasn't a problem in any way, just a surprise

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access and a computer station. Planning an event in Amherst? This hotel has facilities measuring 7500 square feet (697 square meters), including a conference center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff were helpful and kind
Cons: The location was excellent for the event we were attending
Pros: Really sweet staff. Per friendly and very accommodating. Will be back for sure.
Pros: Brighter Lighting would be nice.
Cons: Cleaner rugs.
Pros: Only stayed as there was a family function there,
Cons: Management was rude, rooms not worth the money charged, very outdated hotel. Very hard to deal with as communication was very limited with staff.
Cons: Staff was very rude and in appropriate. We witnessed the lady at the front desk yelling at a customer loudly while he was very calm and was simply asking a question. She also told me twice that I never had a room booked, until I asked for someone else to serve me, then he found it right away. We also asked to bring our dog and they said no problem but when I called the day before to confirm, they stated that If I left my dog alone in the room, they would take it. I would never recommend anyone to stay here unless absolutely needed. It is only a 2 star so i guess I can’t expect too much but For the price, definitely not worth it. I hope management changes. Best regards
Pros: Breakfast was weak on selection.
Cons: The motel is OLD and shows it everywhere.
Pros: Decent breakfast; clean bathroom
Cons: A/c didn’t work well; TV channels on list required special subscriptions; nylon/polyester bed spreads were awful.
Pros: Breakfast was over at 9am. A/c was way too loud, the filter needed changing, there was an empty bucket of garbage and empty bottles at our door outside upon arrival, and beside the door next to us. The curtains didn't cover the whole window.
Cons: See above
Pros: Beds are full queens. Rooms are old but clean and big. Right beside the highway so perfect for a one night stop and continuing to the rest of Nova Scotia.
Cons: Website advertises hot breakfast but it’s just continental. Pool was out of service
Pros: It was clean and the cleaning staff friendly
Cons: door where improperly maintained( hard shove to open, Beds were hard really hard, the pool wasnt open and later found out it hasn't been open for 2 years, breakfast was stale muffins and hard boiled eggs thats were at least a couple days old, they put out 1 bowl of mixed slice fruit first thing in the morning that was gone within 30 minuites so if you werent there right away you missed out,
Pros: Staff was friendly and courteous, I had left a pair of boots in my room and had someone else retrieve them with no issues. No problem checking in, it had a nice little breakfast in the morning.
Cons: Price was too high for the accommodations. Although clean it was rundown and had some cobwebs, along with creaking floors and old busted up doors. Building is outside town limits and has a view of nothing. I stayed on the ground floor so I was close to what amenities the place had which were few.
Pros: The pool was closed which was the part the kids wanted the most :(The hotel seems to be under new management but the rooms were very clean and comfortable and breakfast was typical fare of cereal, bagels and yogurt.Fresh banana bread too! Price was high for what is basically a bed to sleep in for the night but I got a good deal with bookings.com!
