Cons: The rooms were cold and there was no way to improve this. We turned off the air conditioning but the room never heated up. It was also very noisy in the mornings if you wanted a lay in.

Cons: The room was so warm I could not sleep. I brought this situation to the attention of the front desk and was told that is how it is. To my knowledge nothing was done to cool down the room. I don't require much but a good night sleep is essential.

I usually ask for the house keeping to make up my room every three nights of my stay “not daily” every where i stay, and once i had to call the front desk 99 four times within 4 hours just to get shower gel and shampoo which they offer one each in the room even when you book for two person!! and that was on the 29th Aug evening But they didn’t bring it even though they said that they will do so!!! Per in mind that you have to pay 5 euros extra for the room service to have in room dinning, I call the room service every night “late night” to order a margarita pizza but some of the attendants seems like they are not willing to work at this time and giving u a feeling to cancel your order.

Cons: The housekeeping cleans the rooms every two days. They only clean your room everyday if you leave the door sign to have your room service. The beds are not comfortables and the pillow too softs. Every morning I had backache. The bathroom door had rust which made a horrible sound everytime one opened it or closed it.

The next day, we took excursion to Zaanse Schans Windmill and meeting point was at Central station. It made this hotel as a perfect choice for us. We also took the small boat cruise where the meeting point was at Anne Frank house, its 20 Euro for one way). The hotel provide luggage storage and washroom for refreshing if your flight/train leave later in the evening, but make sure you ask for toilet key from front desk. Cons: I added an extra night to the beginning of my stay and put a memo in that mentioned it, but they didn’t tell me anything about it and at one point my key stopped working and it was because I had a different room the next nights. The second room was actually a little nicer so I wasn’t mad about that, but I had to wake someone up in my previous bed to remove my belongings and that was a bit odd, wish I would have known and could have moved them before check in.

Cons: I initially stayed in a 32 bed dorm, but was woken repeatedly by people coming in at 2/3/4/5 am very loudly (unfortunately I had a bed right near the door). Woke properly at 7am to find myself surrounded by about 15 males. Supposedly a mixed room, but I felt pretty uncomfortable seeing as I appeared to be the only female (that's not what 'mixed' means guys!). Overheard that a four bed room was free the next night, and asked to pay the extra to be moved there, which was MUCH nicer. Very expensive for a hostel, but all of them in Amsterdam are about the same.

Cons: The air con wasn’t the best. Room still felt a bit warm so was a little too warm to get a good rest and the restaurant in the evening only had one small menu that didn’t change each day.

Cons: The elevator key access was not working so anyone can basically use the elevator and get access to floors. Also I lost my key once and asked for replacement I was granted one without checking my ID to ensure I was the actual guest of the room. We couldn't find a cap on check out and when we asked the frond desk they said they asked housekeeping and couldn't find it. The front desk lady was very not interested in the matter and had very monotonous voice saying yeah we don't know anything about a cap.

Cons: The property misrepresents its location with photos showing the hotel bordering the canal. In actual fact the hotel is in a side street. Had we known this we would not have booked this hotel. I think the hotel must be asked to take these misleading photos down

Cons: Bathroom planning a bit dicey! Small step to stub your toe on, metal rods to hang towels had a life of their own - if you opened the door they flew out the door and stabbed you in the ribs! Auto light in cupboard stayed on for nano seconds and it was difficult to activate safe as a result

Cons: 1. My room was no properly sound proof. I woke up at 4:30 am called the reception from the loud noise in the street . I couldn’t sleep after that . the reception said it was normal but they will call security. Nothing happened . The noise settled at 6:00. So my day was a mess . I complained in the morning they emphasized that it is usual since people leave the clubs at that time ! Not even apologize. I’ve stayed at the la rambla and time square and didn’t suffer like this . 2.The room I got had a very bad residual smell like mold including the toilet. I didn’t hang my clothes in the cupboard I kept them on the chair ... they caught the smell ... I had to keep putting perfume on it to get rid of the smell the next day ... so embarrassing

Cons: Room was extremely hot. We had asked for AC prior to arrival, to be told this is only in some rooms and not available in the double/twin rooms. Was high 20s/low 30s when we went and the fan in our room was broken. After reporting to reception we are told they have no more available fans and that "it will get cooler in the night". How wrong this was and we ended up physically sweating all night. What made it worse is the hallways are all air conditioned so you go from a freezing cold hallway to a boiling hot room. Our room was hotter than outside. We had to often leave our door open for the room to get cool enough to sleep and then close the door. An hour later and the room is boiling hot again. We felt like no one could be bothered to help us at the time, and it affected our holiday negatively. At the very least if there is no fans available at least go and buy us another one? It was listed that we get a working fan on the hotel listing. Last time we came to Amsterdam we stayed in a 1 star hotel that cost less than half the price of this hotel. If I could go back to when I was booking I would've chose the 1 star and saved my money. The breakfast was pretty poor, If I had paid extra for it I would feel hard done by here as well.

Pros: First of all, the location is amazing: very central and safe. Even though the hotel is located on a busy street, it was quiet inside. Room was small, but cosy and clean, equiped with very comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were even given an interesting story why there's no elevator in the hotel :) Would definitely recommend!
Cons: Breakfast selection is quite poor and, moreover, the food is pretty much the same everyday. The ratio of price and quality is not 100% there, however probably most part of the price is paid for the location.

It is right next to the famous Cannabis Museum with the view from the windows to The Red Light District, the most extravagant place in the world known for blossoming sex business. I couldn't compare it any other place I've ever been to. Incredible Vibe and amazing opportunity to start new friendships. Totally recommend!

Cons: We arrive at the hotel after paying for a twin room to only be told there was no rooms available as it was fully booked and two 21year old males had to share a double bed. The room was unclean with a broken shower head. Hotel staff were unorganised; I put a deposit down on a plug converter which I was then told there’s nothing to show I’ve left a deposit. The manager doesn’t work weekends and nothing can be resolved without a manger which isn’t good for a weekend party. Yet to hear back from the email I sent.
