Car hire at Argostoli Cephalonia Airport

All of the car rental agencies have different requirements when returning the car in terms of the fuel policy. On the KAYAK site, you should select the fair fuel filter to highlight deals that include the fair fuel policy, which is recommended to avoid paying for petrol you don’t end up using. This requires that you return the car with the same amount of fuel you initially received it with. Mostly you will find a full tank of gas when you drive your car out of the airport for the first time and so it should be returned with a full tank of gas.

There is a convenient rating bar for each car deal displayed on the KAYAK website. When you scroll your cursor over the insurance section of each car deal, a colour bar rising into a green colour with a number rating from 1-10 will be displayed above, as well as a list of available insurance policies that are standard with that particular vehicle. Additional extra coverage policies are also available depending on the agency.

There are several important things needed when collecting your car. Firstly, make sure you have your passport with you. It needs to be an original document, not a copy. Next, you will need a valid driver’s licence with the correct codes displayed for the type of vehicle you are renting, as well as your credit card, if you haven't booked and paid online beforehand, however, keep in mind that most car rental companies require you to have a credit card to rent a car at all, so having yours on you when you collect is a good call.
