I made a reservation. Arrived at the zagreb airport to pick up my car the next day and Avis counter told me that they did not have ANY cars. Told me sorry - this happens and it is not their problem! Apparently they can make reservations but don’t always keep them. Beware! Avis is NOT reliable. They also did not offer any assistance on what I could do. I was in a real bind.
