Cons (-) The advertised "superior" room for which we pre-paid almost $400 a night for 6 nights was on the first floor with a walking path right next to the window, so there was no privacy at all. Pros (+) The location was good and it was clean
Cons (-) The room was small and the bathroom was extremely small. And our back patio was above the recreation/ game room so it was noisy.

Cons (-) There was a very slight small nose of a fans or something running at night. It took a little investigation to figure out the bus schedule to the Hot Springs etc.

Pros (+) Good location very friendly staff. The steam room was good bed was pretty good. I want to list more stuff but i cant think of anything else. The underground parking was great.
Cons (-) Room was way to hot and was not able to cool it down, Went to have a dip in the hot tub.. and really it should be called a cold tub i have been in warmer pools. The breakfast was ok bacon was under cooked and was all stuck together. They need more fruit.

Pros (+) The Ptarmigan Inn is located right in Downtown Banff within a block of the "Downtown strip" and has great underground parking so you don't have to really venture outside into any bad weather.
Cons (-) What I was not impressed with and that was not on the travel web site when I selected my room is that a large number of their rooms have no external window and only look-out onto one of two interior courtyards. This can be ok if you are not on the main floor, but the room I received was a main-floor room and we could not keep our blinds open because of the constant stream of people walking by a fe...

Cons (-) The room was below standard. There was dust on the rug behind the door, the drain was plugged in the bathroom tub, the shower fixture needs to be replaced. In my opinion, the hotel is showing it's age. Serious consideration should be given to a complete renovation. I have stayed here before but this time was disappointing.

Pros (+) Construction of building right outside our window/balcony. Very loud. Bed uncomfortable. Went to check out and the guy at desk told us we didn't pay even though I had proof in an email. Told me it was never paid or registering in there computer. Had to go to visa to prove that I had paid.
Cons (-) Close to all everything. Free parking. Breakfast was great.
