Cons: However there were cobwebs in our room and the toilet and shower cubicle were too close for a comfortable sitting when using the WC. It is slightly compact. The breakfast needs to have more varieties. All the instructions in the room were in German only. It requires other common languages like English and French considering it's international customers. The television should have some English channels as well.

I even left something valuable in the safe by mistake and after a short phonecall to reception it was sent back to me personally at no extra cost. Big thank you!

Cons: The evening reception staff (2 males) were not particularly pleasant and were quite dismissive when we were discussing room service with them. Also room service has an extra €7 charge yet you can take food up from the restaurant to your room for free! To order food from outside the hotel, you are charged €10. I have never experienced this and I have stayed in many hotels. One of the spa staff (main gym/pool reception desk on Friday evening, 7th June) was very rude to my partner insisting that he was operating the barrier incorrectly and had been told not to do so the previous evening- the previous evening we were out and not in the gym vicinity so clearly a case of mistaken identity yet no apology was received. Gym has no free water source - seems ridiculous not to have an accessible water fountain for gym users in this day and age.

Cons: upon arriving I learned that the rooms had no airconditioning and that really turned me off. Outside temperature of apt to 29°C and inside almost the same. We got a fan to use inside which helped a little but three sleepless nights in a row because of the heat is not something we want when having a good time in a 4 star hotel! Our room faced the main street so we heard a lot from the traffic and being so near to Tegel airport the air traffic was huge also. Which made it difficult to have the windows open.

Cons: 1) from booking confirmation: "Please note that the restaurant is open Monday - Sunday from 18:00 on" when actually the restaurant is only open mon-fri 2) the website says the pool is a "few metres" away from the hotel, but it is actually a couple hundred. It's not really a hotel pool in the sense that you would normally expect - more like a community senior's pool. The pool itself is nice though... you just need to expect more of a community pool than a hotel environment. 3) upon request for late checkout, was informed that the cost was 147 eur. This was 30 eur more than night with breakfast for two, and the place was almost empty. Illogical. Someone with a better financial mind might have ideas for improvements?

Cons: The WiFi connection kept dropping out, the swimming pool isn't at the hotel, it's a short walk away and when open, is only available to hotel guests for a few hours early morning or late evening, we believed it was part of the hotel. The a la carte restaurant was somewhat misleading, the same menu on the blackboard all week and extremely limited. Our first evening choice had to be sausages with either pasta salad or potato salad, nothing else available as the salad had gone off in the hot weather ! Had to go out each evening to find a suitable restaurant. Whilst the rooms were comfortable, they were very small and basic, open shelving with some hanging space (6 hangers and very tight). On the flight path to Tegel airport, with planes taking off/landing from about 06:00 daily until midnight. Breakfast was good, but other than the weekend not replenished, so if you wanted a lie in, you had to rely on what might be left, 2 mornings of cool scrambled egg and not much else.

Cons: Even though air conditioning is mentioned for the hotel, there is no seperate temperature control per room. In the afternoons our room was a warmer than comfortable, but with temperatures exceeding normal Berlin weather by far (up to 36o C) . We got a small fan from the reception which made the room comfortable again, so it was not much of a problem in the end.

Cons: The behavior of personal (reception) was awful - first of all,we made decision to stay in this hotel because it offered secured parking - as we had bicycles with us we need to park them somewhere but a girl on reception refused to put them in the parking place, even for additional money and was so unfriendly to give any help to solve the problem so we had to spent two hours to find secure place in night time in completely unknown city for all of us. Secondly, as we travelled with kids we asked for rooms next to each other or at least on the same floor, but they gave us rooms on different floors, and when I asked to change a girl on reception refused stating that they already prepared them for us and would not change. But when I made my booking it was more than 10 rooms available, so can’t understand why it wasn’t possible to prepare rooms suitable for family.

Cons: Poor communication with the reception before the check in. Parking kinda pricey, but there is 3 times cheaper one next to the hotel (ca. 200m). Location near the railroad tracks sometimes causes noise if the window is open. I think there might be a problem with air conditioning - fortunately didn’t need it so much, but when I wanted to try it I felt no difference. Also it’d be perfect if there were a kettle, spoons and cups in the room.

Inexpensive taxi rides to/from Tegel airport. We were able to change our reservation yo a disabled room at a short notice. Our flight was delayed and we arrived very late but this was no problem. Very smooth service altogether. The breakfast was great, best enjoyed slowly outside by the pool on the nice hotel yard.

Pros: We wanted a hotel close to the airport for a short, over night stay so the location was good for that. The hotel was close also to local cafes and a supermarket. The stay was quiet and convenient for us.

Pros: The location was great for visiting a concert at the Zitadelle. Subway station was very close, making sightseeing around the city convenient, and the hotel sells day tickets. Inexpensive taxi rides to/from Tegel airport. We were able to change our reservation yo a disabled room at a short notice. Our flight was delayed and we arrived very late but this was no problem. Very smooth service altogether. The breakfast was great, best enjoyed slowly outside by the pool on the nice hotel yard.
Cons: The view wasn't the greatest and the room was a bit worn. This did not bother us anyway. :)

Cons: Staff at desk very rude to us on arrival. Tried to take payment for room from my visa card to tell me it is not working ‘as there is no money on it’. After assuring him i have money, we tried my friends card which she also had money on for him to tell us the exact same thing. We were then told to walk 20 minutes to a cash machine to pay for the room. However when we proved we had enough money he said he would try using the card machine (As before all he had been doing was hitting a few keys on the keyboard) which worked straight away. Couldve done without that after a cancelled flight and stress trying to find a hotel to stay at in the first place. Also placed a room service order which ended up being completely wrong after trying for an hour to get through to them and waiting an extra half an hour for the wrong food to show up.

Cons: Comunication with hotel before arrival, not enought light in the room after dawn, sauna off, worst off all - food in the restaurant - for this price I would expect to get some standart at least - I ordered Aglio olio - weird pasta, olives, onions and tomatos in it (!), no garlic (aglio stands for garlic !) and parmesan not present (only some small baked cheese as decoration) - this shall be named somehow else not to confuse customers. When I tryed to talk about this with waitress she hushed me down that this is their standart.

Well, I have to admit that the staff lied very friendly. It must be policy because two different staff members on different occasions (shifts) told me the same story....

Pros: I stayed for one night while attending ITB. It's a 15min drive by taxi to go to the North Entrance of Berlin Messe. Staff is nice and receptionist was very welcoming. The room was comfortable.

Pros: Ideal location for gig at Waldbuhne, only e11 in cab and only e20-23 in cab to Tegel airport. Staff friendly and helpful. Great boat cruises up river a short walk away. V quick to get to centre of Berlin-Hauptbahnhof from Rathaus Spandau stop nearby on mainline - was only 2 stops!

Cons: The showerhead was not working properly in 330. For the price, I think the access to the spa should be free of charge. It's only €10 but still.

Cons: No fan or air con and it was baking hot, hard to sleep. Some of the older bar staff were v slow and seemed slightly out of their depth however they were all very nice indeed and tried hard LOL

Pros: Friendly owner, waited for my arrival while I was delayed till 00:15. Small but cosy room. Breakfast works with a voucher which you can hand over at the bakery just around the corner. There you can order what you want for a value of € 5,-. Very nice people at the bakery, open every day. Hotel close to Spandau Central Station.

Cons: There was a family with kids in the room next to me, and they made a lot of noise till late in the evening.

Cons: There was no staff. The only person on the counter spoke only Turkish and utterly rude. The fixtures were broken. Lack of basic amenities like a soap, shampoo etc. Overall horrible and felt cheated. Noisy neighbourhood. With very loud and scary tone of arguments.

Cons: First booking.com did not follow their advert: it stated nothing will be taken from my credit card until I get to the property but immediately I tried to reserve, a credit card number was asked which was strange considering the fact that it was a no credit card option I choose, money was taken out of my credit card. I find it a little to tricky and not good, the room was unexpectedly too small for a "double" room idea, the bath room too small, for my four days, no one came to clean my room and again I wasn´t informed I had a limited amount for breakfast and was almost ordering above limit before I thought of asking.

Cons: No receptionist only a man who didn’t speak English & limited German, nobody answered the phone when I called - I came back from Santana concert around 11:30 & couldn’t get in. On arrival my booking was lost, after 15 min in the room I had to move to another one; no warm water the night I stayed there; the worst was ‘breakfast’ for 5 euros as explained at the bakery full of flies & wasps where you have to go. I paid extra to have decent coffee. Curtains were to small couldn’t hide light or view outside, worn out facilities. The owners of this property exploit the guests with a ridiculous price for one of the worst places I have stayed. Now considering never use booking com again- All the above for e 87,- the night!! The place is worth max 40,- it’s behind train rails !!

Cons: They say breakfast is free. Is it really. Once you check in they tell to go to a bakery in the morning where you can eat for up to 5 euros. I will not class this as breakfast as they advertised. Secondly that bakery is having Food which are all eaten by Bees, Flies and Wasps before we taste it. When checked about it, they say this is the standard they maintain during summer. The staff are kind but cant speak englist. Any Non Germany speakers , it will be a night mare. Very small room. No space to move around. The room is tiny even for a single person and definitely not for 2 persons.
