Berlin hotels near St.-Hedwigs-Kathedrale

Cons: In a very nice part of town though those looking for more nightlife will need a short cab ride.

Cons: The restaurant, although a 2-star Michelin rest, we thought didn't offer enough choices.

Cons: Computer in business kiosk a bit slow if you want to print boarding passes. Not of significance to me, but this is the only negative I can come up with.

Cons: The only downside to the hotel was the inconsistency with the efficiency of the staff. We arrived early for our check in and due to travel we were too tired to walk around so we decided to wait the 3 hrs. until check in time. There was no effort made at all to have our room ready before the official check in time, which is unusual for most hotels. When 3 pm came around the room was still not ready, they needed to contact housekeeping to see if it was clean. To make a long story short it took 30 minutes to figure out if the room was ready and even when we went to the room, housekeeping was still there cleaning. The following days I left a “do not disturb” sign on the door (I don’t like to tidy up when I am on vacation before housekeeping comes in) but housekeeping came in anyway. I called the front desk to let them know and requested no housekeeping while I was there and they still came in the following day. The third day my son arrived to the room earlier and they were there cleaning and HE told them not to clean and housecleaning called and spoke to me to confirm I didn’t need housekeeping and they finally got it. So if anything, my only negative is that they really need to work on communication.

Cons: When we booked we requested single beds as we were a party on mother daughter and two sons. When we arrived there we were in double beds which was disappointing. The beds were large and comfortable however so it was ok. The staff were really friendly. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. I expected a big variety it was at best a 4 star standard. That was the main reason I booked it so my sons could get a good start to the day. I would not go back there for that though. The hotel restaurant was very expensive and as we didn’t arrive til 9 pm we had to go out and look for a restaurant. There were very few restaurants in the area and all were closed so we had to eat in McDonald’s which was very disappointing. However in general the location was really good. Cons: For some reason, we were put in a room with two single beds? But honestly, we were so jet lagged it didn't really matter. The beds were VERY comfortable as well.

Cons: Amenities could improve.

Cons: Location of the room in proximity to the elevator Not enough towels, shampoo and conditioner Paying for the internet ,( not a big deal , but the fact that it's not free is annoying!

Cons: The staff was not flexible or terribly helpful - other than the concierge. Was surprised I had to pay for wifi in a hotel of this quality.

Cons: Need better mini bar handling. Was charged Chips and Haribo that I didn’t take. Realized that only when I arrived at home. Should have reviewed the bill before payment

Cons: No Wifi at all! No one knew when it would be fixed, nor seemed to work on this issue, either! A male staff was extremely racey and insufficient. I honestly do not know what the hell is wrong with him.

Cons: they did not have a swimming pool

Cons: Had to pay 20 euro for parking and no breakfast included. Hallway had a funny smell.

Cons: Front desk staff, needs training. If a guest says good morning it is common courtesy to answer, 3 morning out of 5 they did not. The gym facility is wery wery small

Cons: Location, breakfast, bed

Cons: I would not recommend the city tour they offer at the concierge.
