The wait time for picking up the vehicle was ridiculous. My reservation was for 6pm and I got there around that time. I waited over an hour for the vehicle to be cleaned and ready. Got out of the lot close to 7:30pm. I returned the vehicle around 9pm. Came to find out they charged me 3 extra hours because the vehicle was due at 6pm. But they didn't discount the extra 1.5 hours that took me to pickup the vehicle! The vehicle was comfortable.

Person at pick up is unethical and takes advantage of people with up charges. I was a little early and he claimed that he didn’t have a mid size car and that I had to pay for an upgrade. Bill was 150 more than what I signed up for and when I got to the pickup area it was a Hundai Elantra - a mid size car. These people are cheats and manipulators. Don’t rent from them!

The pick up and drop off from the airport was very easy. All the rental car places are in a big hub and there’s a shuttle from the airport. The person who checked us in was like an auctioneer - he talked a mile a minute to us while talking to his co-workers on either side. We declined the collision and told us the he upgraded us at no cost. But in fact, he charged us for both of these. When I asked why to total was so high he said that there is a 38% airport tax! ( which there is but I can’t do math that fast). It ended up being $350 for a compact for 3 days. The car was fine. The service was super shady and I was scammed.

The agent at the counter was not friendly at all when asked for the breakdown of the charges after your original total balance they added a bunch of different other charges including a mandatory $9.95 toll fee per day whether u pass a toll or not. The total was about $100. She wanted a complete paper copy of my Allstate Insurance to prove I have Full Coverage in my vehicle. I decline. Walk next door to them and Book a car with another company

The company couldn't have been more helpful. I hired a car due to a breakdown. They helped me work out how I could cover the unexpected cost and were totally kind and sympathetic. The car itself was lovely, clean, delivered with a full tank and paperwork was kept simple. Pick up was quick and efficient, return even quicker!

I was supposed to get a Hyundai, but they gave me a Kia instead. Black interior Silver exterior. The car was dirty inside, especially the way back where we put our luggage and the windows were also dirty. We were only renting the car for four days, so not worried about it. The car drove very nicely, good gas mileage, and it was easy to pick up and return. I would go back again

This was a bad experience. I booked the car through kayak. The company text me the day after for my personal information to expedite my checkout. The day of pickup they told me they need to do a soft credit check because I live in New Jersey. You knew that yesterday when I responded to the text. So my frozen credit can't rent a 7 passenger mini van. Not like a email or text with the policy could have prevented that. I could have unfrozen my credit 24hr before but it's ok grandma and grandpa can ride in the trunk or roof of my car. If I was from Russia I could have rented it an put in a container and been back home before the next shift started. Just another business with great customer service. Thanks for saving me $600

The guys up front were super friendly and assisted us quickly. The rental car was adequate for our needs and got us around. It was definitely an older model vehicle ( I’m thinking early to mid 90’s). I know it was carnival week and prices were a bit inflated, but overall I would use them again.

They did not honor the agreement with kayak. After several schemey attempts to sell/more force me to purchase additional insurance coverages. I told the manager issac on duty that I had confirmed with mexrentacar, via the email listed on their website, that my pre paid coverage already had the required third party liability, and that any other insurance coverage offered would be OPTIONAL. Isaac would not back down and kept pushing that i purchase the additional insurance coverage or else he could not provide the vehicle. Isaac then said my credit card had to be a year or older to be able to proceed with my pre paid agreement. Isaac said I could purchase the additional insurance and they would be able to proceed with the same credit card, waiving the baloney 1-year requirement. Isaac then said if I don’t pay the additional insurance. I would lose the money spent on the pre paid agreement through kayak. The worst way to start your vacation, skip this company at all cost. Gracias.

This company is a scam. They lure you in with a competitive price, then when you arrive at the counter they don’t have the car reserved, they ask for additional money for an “upgrade” and they ask for additional ridiculous amount for insurance coverage that try say it will be refunded at the end of the rental (which was never disclosed at the time of booking online or in the rental advertising). When you provide them with proof of own insurance coverage they refuse to accept it and refuse to refund your money that they force you to pay at the time of pick up. Total scam, there are thousands of similar reviews online. Their reviews are one star across the board. Not a single happy customer. It’s amazing those scammers are still in business.

Terrible. I didn’t get the car. I had to rent a new one from Hertz. At the Mexrentacar they asked me for 2500.00 US dollars as deposit which I agreed having no choice since I was traveling with my kids (2yo and 7 yo). At first they kept me waiting at the counter for 3 hours stating they were unable to find my booking despite providing them all the booking numbers, CC info. Later they asked for 2500.00( two thousand five hundred dollars deposit) which was very strange, when I agreed paying it with my Credit card they said my credit card doesn’t work call u r bank. I called my bank they said no transaction of 2500.00 was made. I mean they said my card didn’t work without using it. Just couldn’t refuse the rental car they gave me tough time and no car. I had to go rent from Hertz even I had already paid to Mexrentacar in advance. NO rental car , No refund. Guys stay away from Mexrentacar a car and go for US rental car companies don’t fall prey to their scam.

The booking was at 23:00 and because the office was outside the airport terminal we had to, supposedly, take the free shuttle bus. We were looking for the bus for 30 min and in the meantime try to call the company but nobody picked up the phone. When we finally arrived, with a normal bus, the place was closed and we couldn’t get in touch with any member of the rental company. The day after the booking was cancelled and no car was available, the only thing available was a 9 seater for twice the price plus the cheap price on the site is not including any extra like, if we took the vehicle, there was an extra charge to go outside Italy. Avoid at all costs, I am glad they cancelled our booking.

Obviously SUPRICE RENTAL name of the business is not coincidence. You rent your car for 60 euro for 4 days and than you have 3 options of insurance, on the top of the rental fee. 195 euro, 330 euro and 470 euro (I do not recall exactly the sums). Even though I have booked Full Insurance (Waiver Insurance) and it should cost 150 euro total. (Waiver Insurance in Italy should be mandatory - not sure). Total price for rental and insurance was something over 250 euro 4 days. Does this price makes sense, maybe yes, but you had in your head 60 euro :) So how does it work - you are waiting in queue, you are after flight, you are maybe tired, bit nervous and you want your car quick. You are counting with some price and at the end it is completely different conditions. Strange about whole process is, that insurance on the top of the price is offered to you on the piece of paper written by the pen (it really seemed to me like random numbers - just the feeling). Of course, you are not required to take insurance, but lets say you are kind of pushed and a little bit frightened (in case you do this, you do that, we will not give you deposit and you pay this and that), you are asked multiple times: BUT ARE YOU SURE? IT IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU, bla, bla.. Just be aware of this "sales" methods. Staff was ok, guy which served us was friendly. CAR itself was ok, but it was dirty in interior, not fully tanked and full of hair from some dog (especially trunk), we realised after leaving the car rental and we did not want to spend time dealing with them. Be aware of SURPRICE(s) on your holiday :D

I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue with SURPRICE CAR RENTAL, including contacting them four or five times, and even enlisting the help of the border police. Despite these efforts, SURPRICE CAR RENTAL continues to insist that they have not received the payment. Furthermore, SURPRICE CAR RENTAL transported us to a remote location, only to inform us that no small cars were available, and they failed to provide any alternative options. As a result, we were left stranded without a vehicle, despite having already made the payment. This situation is not only frustrating but also unacceptable. Despite reaching out to KAYAK.com for assistance, I have received no help in resolving this issue. Given that KAYAK facilitated the booking and processed the payment, it is KAYAK’s responsibility to ensure that the payment was securely transferred to the rental company. Processing payments without verifying that they have been properly handled by the service provider places customers like me in an extremely difficult and unfair position. I urgently request your assistance in resolving this matter.

Wait time for pick up at the airport was extremely long. Tha rental place had only one man rin pick up and drop off. The rental place is being run from an hotel lobby which looks awkward to me. I had 2 flat tires which made it impossible to move, on calling the rental, they told me to call my insurance company because towing assistance wasn't part of the contract, so, incase you rent from York Car Rental any problem you encounter during the duration of your rental is entirely yours. The usual practice that the rental place will send you another vehicle as replacement is out of it at York. I had to spend additional $320 out of pocket to tow and replace the tires🙁🙁🙁. Even with this experience, I will give kudos to the Driver, who is an amazing guy 👍🤝.

Shame on Kayak that is dealing with fraud companies like Nextcar. I’m disputing the payment because the company doesn’t exist in Bucharest. We went all the way to the office and there’s no furniture, no people, just an empty office and people from next door telling us that the police has been many time here looking for someone from Nextcar. This is a scam!

The meet/greet was at the airport, but a bit if a walk awayto the furthest parking lot. I called the customer service person who had reached out to me on WhatsApp, to reassure me the pickup would happen as planned...and it did. The car was perfect, newer, clean, and ran very well. The tank was almost on E, at pickup but outside of that a good enough experience. It did the job!

Only 400Km in total (Ontario & US) for your rental if you take the car into US for even a day. Also, the cars are not in good mechanical conditions, couldn’t drive above 110KPH on highways! Best to book with some reputable rental companies even if you have to pay a little more!

The drop off/pick up is outside of the airport. If you need to drop off the car early and they are closed you have to drop off the car and take an Uber or taxi to the airport at your own cost. Just a heads up when booking.

I paid for the rental but my husband was doing the driving. This was not allowed and wehad to add me as a driver for 10 /day. I thought this was unnecessary and we have not encountered this before.

rental was 300 but insurance was 700 + tolls were 200 those huge extra costs were nowhere to be found on kayak. on the website, insurance was 260 and the only reason why we did not buy it online (together with the car rental) is that terms were not clear, and we intended to discuss them in person. big mistake: since they charged us almost 3 times as much for insurance! And tolls? they wanted to charge us 25 dollars (plus the cost of the actual tolls, obviously) for every time we would take a toll road... that's crazy! basically we were forced to purchase "unlimited tolls" for 200 dollars, something never heard of. Besides the extortion, we had to wait well over 1 hour at the car pickup before victorycar empoyee picked us up. And they knew we had been standing there since second 1, because they immediately replied to out whatsapp messages. The car was fine, but the overall experience was bad.

Lot of restrictions can’t go out of Dallas , the cars are old , check Engine lights are on . 80k miles on the car . Have to wash and clean the car before giving back . And they denied cc for car cwd even I have the cc as primary .

Terrible. We waited over 1.5 hour at the airport before being picked up. The first car we got was in pretty bad shape and 2 hours after getting it the car wouldn’t turn on. They brought us a new car. I specifically asked that we have a 4WD and the guy assured me it was. However on our trip we got stuck half-way up a mountain because the car was in fact not a 4WD so we couldn’t do several activities or restaurants because we couldn’t reach their location.

Never received the car. No response when calling the rental agency from the airport at arrival. Tried to call on the next day, same result. The number provided is an Argentinian number which doesn't seem to work.

I arrived at 10:00 pm at the MCO, by the time to get the shuttle all the stations were closed. I didn’t get the car and no one was answering the phone. I had to rent a car from Avance for 5 times the money since I didn’t have a reservation. They haven’t even refunded the money yet.

Bait and switch technique used to try and sell unnecessary add-ons when actually showing up for a car rental. Ended up getting a full refund from Expedia, as their’real’ cost ended up much higher than originally paid. Run (don’t walk) from these scammers!!

The pick up process wad complicated. You have to speak to someone on a screen, and then they require that you go around the vehicle and take a lot of pictures to stay within the contract requirements. This made the pickup process complicated and stressful. Once familiar with the process, the drop off was easier and I would think it’s easy going forward, but it was complicated the first time.
