Pros:I was able to negociate for a more comfortable car.Cons:The vehicle I asked for in my reservation was not available (not delivered from the airport location). I picked up one vehicle (a Jeep) which did not have a full tank of gas and decided that vehicle was too uncomfortable for a long trip so I returned to ask for another vehicle and was able to obtain a Malibu (also no full tank). I did not like having to refuel two vehicles without having used them. The Malibu had no flat repair equipment. Instead I was told to call road side assistance if needed. Two other vehicles on the premises could not be rented; one had a "wrong mileage" issue and another had an expired registration. I am very unlikely to rent from Budget again.Reviewed 10 Mar. 2016

Budget problemsPros:The kayak service was excellent!Cons:Budget car was comfortable, but had acceleration problems and idled rough. Also Budget charged far more than the advertised rate on the car. Unknown what charges were added. I added coverage for the car, but charges far in excess of that.Reviewed 15 Feb. 2017

Overall very goodPros:Service at the store in Chesapeake, VA was very good. Friendly fast service. The return at Charlotte, NC airport was fast and hassle free.Cons:Car windows were fairly dirty that made some of my tired night driving difficult. Frankly I didn't notice until the sun went down but it did make visibility more difficult than it needed to be.Reviewed 5 Aug. 2017

Their computer system was down but they manually oPros:The customer service person was a new employee but got some assistance from another staff person.Cons:I'm still waiting for confirmation that all was good with the car upon return!
