Despite my reservation which I made 3-4 days before, there was no premium car available with Budget and they provided me with a mini-van instead. Further, the mini-van provided to me was all damaged from every side. Further, the employee there refused to give me a rental on my temporary Ohio driver's license based on which every other rental gives the car. I also presented my India's drivers license and to harass me more, they asked me for the physical passport (she did not accept event the electronic copy of my passport) and I had to take Uber forth and back to my place just to get my passport. She did not even have the courtesy to reserve that damaged mini-van for me and told me that she cannot promise me the car on my return. If Budget doesn't give rentals on temporary licenses then they should specify that while making the bookings and should also specify what all documents they need at the rental pick-up rather than harassing customers like this. This is definitely the worst experience of rental I ever had.Reviewed 15 Aug. 2022

Clerk at Drop Off point in Charleston was extremely rude. He wanted to charge us for an upgrade. We were willing to pay from the car we reserved, if that vehicle was not available, that is not our fault. We only paid what we should have, but he ruined the experience for us. The branch at the Lissabon train station (Ouest) offers pick-up time at noon, however, they close from noon to 3pm. We had to wait for 2 hours to pick-up our car. Also, they offer the ViaVerde automatic toll system for Euro 7.50/day - which, according to some sources is illegal. The maximum amount for renting out ViaVerde is Euro 1.50/day to a maximum total amount of 19 Euros. This seems like fraud to me!Reviewed 15 Aug. 2022

There was quite a long line when I got there, and it went very slow. The staff seemed under duress, and the customer service was quite poor. They chatted with each other and seemed to be problem solving, but not once did the person speak with me and explain what was happening. I really wouldn’t go here again. I don’t think it was the staff either—I think they were just trying to manage in a bad set of circumstances, I think it was the company.Reviewed 15 Aug. 2022

Car was clean and ran well. In the Caymans they drive under U.K. rules. Speed limit signs are in mph. The speedometer was in kph. It couldn't be changed. They didn't tell us about this so we drove in kph the first day. Way too slow for traffic. They should have told us.Reviewed 15 Aug. 2022
