The car was very good. However the price was a trap because of the insurance scam. The rental company does not recognise prepaid insurance or credit card insurance. They only recognise their own compulsory insurance which effectively doubled the price of the car rental.. To be fair, their compulsory double pay insurance scam should be notified up front, not hidden.Reviewed 24 Dec. 2022

Pros:Yes. But the charge way to much on place! The have hidden charges, I wasn’t happy about that! I paid a lot more than I expected.Cons:Be prepared to be charged your credit card with $700 as a deposit even if you already bought an insurance here!Reviewed 4 Jun. 2021

Pros:Staff was very friendly and thorough in inspecting the car, telling us where the emergency equipment was, fluids in the car, etc.Cons:The security deposit was really high at $1600, likely because it was in a different country and a bigger vehicle. I was also not allowed to decline the insurance. There was a mandatory insurance of $13.99/day. The other option that coverage everything was $32/day.Reviewed 3 Feb. 2020

Budget El Salvador did not have available the vehiPros:Terrible customer service to say the least!Cons:Did not have available the type of vehicle I had reserved through Kayak. They offered me a lower class vehicle for the same price. They wanted force me to buy a local insurance policy, advising me that Allianz insurance was not valid in El Salvador. I was very angry and disappointed and did not take the car.Reviewed 13 Nov. 2016
