9.5 Excellent
Pros: excellent breakfast, sourced locally and in-house,freshly prepared and very attentive service
Cons: cant think of any negatives
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice place, if a little dated. The pond at the front of the hotel is a very nice setting and is very private from the passing traffic in Carlingford. Great breakfast and nice room with a bath tub.
Cons: The receptionist/barman on arrival wasn't the most welcoming to a younger couple and seemed more interested in the older couple who arrived just as we were collecting keys as he left us waiting until he sorted them out despite the fact that we were halfway through checking in... When coming back for a nightcap, he also told us 'I'm not staying here for long', which was a little strange seeing as it was 9pm and we were coming in for one drink... You pay a lot for the grounds you're in but, if you're just looking for a place to stay in Carlingford, there may be more cost-effective properties to stay at.

Thank you so much.... We will definately be back. Paula and Emma
