Pros: Good food
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A lovely hotel and great breakfast
Cons: Unfortunately we didn’t have any hot water, but were given a discount when we checked out, although I did have to ask for one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thought everything was excellent and we enjoyed our stay and we would like to thank you very much for our Complimentary 50th Wedding Anniversary bottle of wine which was a lovely touch. We would happily recommend you. Very kind regards Judd and Alan Lovell
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pub and room in good location. Food is excellent as are the staff
Cons: TV in the room was a work of art to get going. A staff member did attend to this immediately when we asked and showed us the “knack” to encourage moving pictures. Small detail.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Nice building
Cons: The manager was incredibly rude. Didn’t want to acknowledge the fact that the room we’d been put in was not the room we’d purchased. Fortunately there was a lovely woman called Kim working who sorted it out for us and completely understood our issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, efficient and professional. The accommodation, spotless and comfortable. The location, right at the edge of the village with good parking at the rear. Great breakfast . The Sunday Lunch we had on arrival was delicious. Lovely place for a romantic break .
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was good. Dinner on Saturday evening was outstanding in its quality
Cons: There was no service on Sunday evening - this needs to be pointed out by the hotel before the visit, particularly as we had booked online, hoping for a celebration dinner that day. Whilst we could go in for a “late lunch” at 5.00 p.m. the place was packed with non-residents by this time, was noisy and we were given a very small table near the door ( the restaurant we had used the evening before was closed by this time) and the quality of the food, on this occasion, was in no way comparable with what we expected from both the evening before and a visit inNovember.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast and room furniture/design
Cons: The receptionist who welcomed us at the check in could not rush more and could not wait to get rid of us. The whole check in took exactly 30 seconds with no explanation about the hotel facilities at all. We got into the room, it was stylish but smaller than i imagined. We have specifically chosen and paid extra for a larger room. When i asked him if thats the large double room he said yes. Later we showed him pics of what we expected he realised he gave us the wrong room. We moved, room was bigger indeed with very comfy bed. We wanted to watch some tv before we go to bed just to realise the tv was not working. Next morning just before check out, wanted to take a shower again just to realise there is no hot water. Breakfast was great indeed but to be honest that hotel is waaaayy over priced for what it offers and definitely does not qualify for a 5 star hotel - facilities and customer service wise.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was first class - with accessories exceeding expectations - fridge, safe and ironing facilities a bonus. Staff were very helpful and friendly
Cons: Being unable to prebook a parking spot, and unable to speak to anyone when using telephone - always had to leave a message, when an answer was needed quickly

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners could not do enough for you they were fantastic, the room was perfect for my needs, the only 1 thing I could comment on was that whilst there were adequate cooking facilities an oven would have been nice if you are staying for more than a couple of days but I can fully understand . Otherwise fantastic stay and I will be returning.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Homely and warm, enjoyed the local farm food provided in the fridge for us to cook for breakfast.
Cons: Front door didn’t lock from the inside- ok to lock from outside. Nearby footpath was inaccessible for walkers.

Cons: Different to find beds beside the pool. Guests left towels over the beds and left the spar returning hours later.

Pros: Bed super super comfy!

Pros: Amazing beautiful location
Cons: Unfortunately had to write 3 times prior arrival to request particular room. At the end Deluxe Queen Room is the one with the view on the parking at the parking door. Breakfast is poor.

Pros: Had a small but very comfy room in the mews cottages. Lovely additional luxuries like Nespresso coffee machine and Dyson hairdryer. Staff were very helpful in suggesting things to do in what was a rather wet week.
6.0 Good
Pros: Great location, great staff!!
Cons: TV didn't work along with in room phone. Waited forever to get coffee on Sunday breakfast!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and tidy and very comfortable. The en-suite was luxurious with jacuzzi and very large walk in shower. Provided with bath robes which was nice. The service was brilliant - nothing was too much trouble. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was brilliantly cooked and there was a lovely wide spread - something for all tastes.
Cons: The weather!!!!!!! but this is of course out of your control

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Flapjacks were a nice touch on arrival , staff were friendly
Cons: The hotel was not that clean in general . We could see rubbish had been dumped around the hotel from our window , although they probably thought this was out of sight . The carpet in our bedroom was stained and dirty as was the landing area . The table where we ate was dirty , the food was poor quality . The hotel had an unkempt /tired appearance .

Pros: The lady running the reception and restaurant was amazing. Need to work on staff. Bedroom was beautiful.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Despite renovations being in progress in some areas, there was no disruption. We had a recently renovated room which was delightful. Staff were efficient and professional. The gym and pool are great. Having well kempt gardens is a bonus. Parking is convenient and on the property.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The food was good and staff friendly. Quirky building.
Cons: Dirty room. Had to ask four times to get resolved. Toilet handle broken , temp fix broke again. Under renovation place stunk of drying varnish and paint. Not pre-warned of this. Will not put on any photos until I have liaised with hotel to resolve.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Hotel is undergoing refurbishment so was not presented at its best. The work is quite noisy. The hotel was not ready to satisfy our early arrival booking and the staff (although they found us a room within about 10 minutes) were surly in their dealing with us and did not apologise. We did not eat in the hotel.
Cons: Customer service
6.0 Good
Pros: reception team very pleasant and welcoming on arrival, bar staff in the evening good, meal good value for money
Cons: the breakfast staff very poor attitude, and even though we arrived at 09.45 and breakfast was until 10, our welcome was there is very little left and it was made clear breakfast finishes at 10, no sausages a couple of rashers of bacon between me and my partner had to order eggs as they were all gone. Dismal all round which let the property down tremendously, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and managed 3 over the years and this was without doubt the worst breakfast experience I have ever had
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very large and well appointed room for the money. Good breakfast.
Cons: The hotel is currently being refurbished so don’t go there if you are allergic to the smell of fresh paint
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were quirky and there is not a level floorboard in the place. Lots of character. We thought it was great. Location was superb as well. Would definitely recommend it.
Cons: It was all really good. Cannot fault my stay. A kettle in the room would have been good but this is a minor thing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to stay. Room excellent. Reception staff good.
Cons: Bar and restaurant staff a little slow serving a woman on her own.

1.0 Poor
Pros: I had to c as neck the trip due to Coronavirus. Instead of being understanding in the circumstances, they refused to refund and instead gave a room free of charge from nov 20 til April 21. Not what I wanted.
Cons: Not flexible under circumstances.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable stay in a peaceful surrounding
Cons: My room was not the twin bedded room that I specifically requested and checked up on prior to my stay, however as my partner was sick and could not unfortunately accompany me this time, the matter was not much of an issue, however it was disappointing that this matter was not addressed prior to my arrival, especially as I had checked on the matter two weeks before and it was confirmed that my request had been agreed. This issue had also happened to me disappointingly once before as well. Also the bacon at breakfast was overcooked and hard.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice country house hotel, our room was comfortable, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel and breakfast were good value for money.
Cons: We had evening dinner which was disappointing.

5.0 Okay
Pros: My toilet was dirty and had to be cleaned there were many in the party for a national gymnastics event and we asked for breakfast to be earlier admittedly the manager came in at 7.15 but there was no cooked breakfast just some toast small bowl of fruit and cereal i do not think this warrants 85.00 per night plus the toilet facilities were used and had to be cleaned
Cons: Breakfast
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money and great breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed being in Room 14, an accessible room designed for handicapped guests, but spacious and comfortable for all guests. The pub/restaurant put on an excellent dinner and a very complete breakfast.
Cons: Driving cross-country relying on google maps meant that we were tired and confused by the time we reached Melksham and failed to catch the very tight corner to enter the parking lot of the King's Arms. Once we knew the trick we had fewer problems but the narrow roads and the impatient drivers of the town made for challenges. Not the hotel's fault, but something for the unwary to consider.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, central to the town centre. Ample parking. Lovely staff.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good facilities for disabled travellers. Friendly staff .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just perfect.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was lovely with external access to the pub for breakfast and dinner. We loved the cosy pub vibes and the food was great! Location was great in the peaceful countryside close to all the beautiful Cotswold towns on our list.
Cons: The restaurant/pub was very busy each night (early Dec Xmas dinners) and we weren't aware you needed to book a table for dinner each night at the time of booking. Luckily were able to get a table on short notice!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms, great food and outstanding hospitaility!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were in and out very quickly as we were staying for a wedding reception, then leaving early the next morning, but the rooms are beautiful, and in a separate building (with its own entrance) to the main pub, so there is privacy also. highly recommend !

5.4 Okay
Pros: It was close to the restaurant I was going to that night. The Male who greeted us with our room key was polite and very kindly carried my luggage to my room.
Cons: It is very out dated and in need of a huge refurb. It stated the bar opened at 5pm however when going to the bar at 5.30pm everything was shut down and no staff were to be seen.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was close to the town centre. Parking outside.
Cons: A bit basic and grim, but it was warm. Stayed somewhere cheap as it was just to bunk down for the night due to an early rise for a bike race in nearby Castle Coombe so wasn’t expecting The Ritz! Too early for the breakfast but I was ok with this. If you like the smell of stale cigarettes and old decor then you will love it. The sign said under new management so it could be sorted into something a bit better soon.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly, parking really handy (and safe off-street) quiet, easy short walk into town centre, warm
Cons: Felt over-priced considering quite a basic room with some maintenance needed
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff was lovely and very kind
Cons: Needed a bit of a clean in the bathroom and bedding. Could have done with another pillow, but I didn’t want to ask so that was my fault
4.2 Okay
Cons: Dated and difficult parking
