Dijon hotels near Place de la Libération

Pros: The building from the outside id beautiful. Th bed was very good. Interior design in corridors was terrible

Cons: We stayed in room 414. I’d deliberately booked in advance a room with a balcony. Our room had no balcony, and rather than apologise, the front desk simply told us that our room, and the rooms with a balcony, cost the same amount. I had also asked in advance for two separate duvets on our large bed. These weren’t provided on arrival. After calling front desk twice, we were sent an extra duvet after a wait of over an hour, with no apology for the delay. The duvet turned out to be two old duvets (don’t ask me why there were two) stuffed into a duvet cover. The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. There was a door to separate the bedroom from the hall/toilet/bathroom area. But it didn’t close because it wasn’t fitted properly. For a 5-star hotel , this place failed spectacularly. I would not recommend it.

Pros: The property is as beautiful as the photos. It has a great location and a wonderful wine selection.

Pros: Fantastic location. Rooms were well set up. Nice restaurant and bar. Dijon is a brilliant city and we preferred it to many of Frances other larger cities. Cinema room near reception was perfect on a rainy day and staff at check in very happy to help with anything.

Cons: We stayed a week and After having drinks in the bar area the first few nights we had to find another bar for drinks as the smell from the inside smoking room was excessively bad. Those patrons who used the smoking room had no courtesy at all to close the door and even after closing the door personally 3 times they would simply open the door to allow the smoke to vent all the way through the bar. We tried again the following night with the same outcome. Pity as the bar and staff serving there were very nice. As we were travelling with children a smoke free hotel is important to us. Otherwise we loved the hotel so please change the smoking room set up.

Cons: On first day when I went to bed i saw the pillow case had a ketchup stain on it and hair. I asked my sheets to be changed and so they brought me two new pillows. Second day I found a woman hair again on my pillow case. I think it was bad luck cause everything else was spotless clean.

Cons: I hope French people in Bourgogne in general be nicer to people who don't speak French. If they want to host international travellers, they need to train or hire English speaking staff, or at least who are not arrogant toward who do not speaking French.

Cons: Horrible old fashioned room. Bathroom was very small, there was no air exhauster, not even in the toilet, dirty bedsheets, unhelpful staff, for 2 people they leave 1 bottle of water, no renewal, breakfast ok, too crowded, staff gets annoyed if you stay longer than 10. Absolute no 4 star.

Cons: Noisy rooms. The breakfast was below average. Towels and sheets not clean. Located next to trafficked road.

Pros: Very good quality room, comfortable bed, staff extremely helpful. Parking great.

Cons: Limited bar snacks. Dined in restaurant first night, was excellent, but too rich to have two nights running. We wanted something simple on second night, but distance from centre without decent restaurants nearby gave us very limited choice for a meal.

Cons: First room was not clean and had drapes ripped off the wall. Was quickly given a second room but card key system for electricity wasn't explained so I didn't have power the first night. Great potential for this place but not very user friendly.

Pros: Great location in the heart of Dijon. Everything was close by and within easy walking distance. Comfortable and large apartment. Staff were excellent and Alice was especially attentive and efficient. Thank you for a great stay. Will be returning

Pros: The staff was nice and helpful and the location was great! 10 minute walk from the bus station and maybe 2 minutes from the garage.

Pros: The location was superb. It is centrally located in a wonderful walking area. The room was large and comfortable with a small kitchenette.

Cons: The hallways were warn and dirty. The hotel says that it has parking, but there are only three spaces. Everyone else needs to go to a public parking garage.

Pros: We stayed over one night to see Dijon on the way to the Alps. The hotel was good value for money with a nice breakfast.

Cons: For a 3 star travel hotel it was comfortable. For a longer stay a hostess tray in the room would be good.

Pros: Great location for exploring Dijon. The Christmas market was just down the road along with restaurants and shops. Beautiful city that is well worth a visit. Tasty breakfast that is well worth the money! Free car park at the rear of the hotel that is lit and under CCTV if you park in the middle under the lights.

Pros: The hotel was in a perfect location walking distance to town centre which was a lovely walk. Parking was great very secure. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Especially receptionist were very helpful with instructions to get to the centre. Room was small but comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was continental, with good choices. I have tried a few Ibis hotels and this is the best so far in France.

Cons: We only had two towels in the bathroom.
