The hotel is very well located, very near the station, near shops, places to eat and the lake. The bed was comfortable and the room was big. The staff were very nice, though a little forgetful. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed a dinner at Fouquet’s and some time at the casino.
While the room was big and clean it had the smell of stale tobacco really imbibed in it. Not very pleasant and while the balcony does seem to be used by smokers, I wish that some of the rooms were non smoking as it’s really not pleasant. We were also dissapointed to find that we had only paper cups for tea and coffee in our room. This is not what I would expect for a four star hotel and it’s very environmentally unfriendly. The room is quite dated in style and Decor- it could do with a refurb and the bathroom desperately needs a shower curtain or screen. We soaked the bathroom inadvertently when washing. We booked the break as the hotel advertises a spa facilities and a relaxing time, this was not the case and they should not be advertising a spa experience as it was more like a municipal pool in atmosphere. The pool is beautiful but it was far too busy and almost impossible to find somewhere to sit as every single chair had towels on it. We wanted to be able to sit and read and relax, to take the advice on the spa walls to take a sauna and then a nap but it was impossible. When we found a space to sit eventually an aqua biking class started up with loud music and shouting, it could be heard everywhere, sauna, Hammam, the relaxing room-it ruined our experience. When I went to ask what time it would end, I was asked why and told by a member of staff to sit somewhere else- which wasn’t possible and wouldn’t have changed things and I should expect classes at a sports centre- so this is not a spa then? Normally I would have said never mind and come back to the spa at a quieter time, but the hotel gives only one entrance to the spa per night so we left the spa deflated and dissapointed. I will not be returning.
Is a nice place the location is great and the spa is amazing
We booked a superior room and it was very disappointing, for being a superior room it was smaller than the last one we had a few months ago, and that one was a basic one. The wallpaper is coming out. The blow dryer didn’t work. That Is not a 4 star hotel and is not worth what it costs. I love coming here but is very disappointing. We won’t be booking any superior rooms anymore since there is no difference.
location was great
The superior lakeside room, needed some redecoration.
Included in room-rate, one-time access to fabulous spa with sauna, hammam, one swimming and one fun pool with great windows and views.
Maybe a shower curtain or shower screen on the tub would be welcome to avoid splashing everywhere
The breakfast was good and the hotel location is fine.
The hotel is a bit old fashioned. We were expected a higher standing for this hotel.
