Il Borgo di Genova - Genoa - Bedroom
1
9.3 Excellent (220 reviews)
C$ 98+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Il Borgo di Genova in Genoa (San Fruttuoso), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Luigi Ferraris Stadium and Piazza de Ferrari.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, really nice room. Good service perfect stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation is in an old but very nice/ typical Italian building, close by Brignole train/ metro station. So the location is very good (Brignole train/ metro station is one of the main stations in Genoa). You can find nearby different stores and trattoria(s). If you would like, you can walk to the (old) city center, Genoa Porto Antico, Piazza Ferrari, etc (15-30 minutes). The rooms are very clean and the bed is comfortable. The owner is very friendly and is always around, ready to help/ provide you with information you might need.
Cons: There is a small (and probably busy in the morning) pedestrian street, which is used in the morning to easily reach the metro/ train station. It could be a bit noisy in the morning but if you keep the window close there is no problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was very central, within 2 minutes of the train, metro and local taxi rank. It was also pretty central to walk to the shops and conveniences
Cons: Unfortunately the stairs are pretty step which I understand is standard for Genoa, as other people in local hotels said there were not lifts and they had to walk up flights of stairs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giovanni was incredibly helpful. We needed additional assistance because we were travelling with wedding cakes which needed repairing after the flight. After that was sorted he asked us if we needed anything else, which he didn't need to do.
Cons: Unfortunately the stairs were difficult for my mum due to her age but I understand this is typical for the region.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect.
6.3 Good
Pros: Giovanni was very helpful and willing to give us detailed information about everything. Check in was quick and easy and the communication with Giovanni was great.
Cons: The room wasn’t very clean and the bathroom towels had a musty smell when wet. Petit entrance with very steep stairs! The neighborhood was a bit strange because the rooms are behind the railway station.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Easy to get to, very close to Brignole Station, 30 mins on Vola Bus from airport and just €6 each! The property is 10-15 mins walk to Piazza Ferrari, a great place to begin exploring the city. Giovanni was an excellent host, very helpful with where to visit and places that were not so necessary (we only had 1 full day in Genoa). Our flight was delayed which was not a problem for checking in. We were also left a map in the room on arrival with great information circled and suggested for all kinds to see and do! Overall a very good experience with the property, could have stayed longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great customer service, Very Clean modern rooms, fantastic location just on edge of old town, easy to get everywhere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host, gave us many good tips.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giovanni is a wonderful host. It was my second time staying there and it was brilliant. Every time I visit Genova I shall only stay at il Borgo

Pros: Beautifully restored floor of an old palace that was used for dignitaries in the 15th century. Quite unique and modern. Quiet. Great location for visiting Genova & day trips.
Cons: Difficult to find. Park at Porto Antico near aquarium, walk across street, enter at Delfin bar & put Santa Maria delle Vigne into your phone. It is across from this church. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well organized. Friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable. Great position. Lovely building. Excellent stay. We would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Smoking in the restaurant. People chain smoked for our whole meal! This spoilt the taste and atmosphere for us and I got a sinus headache. Had we realized we would have organized to eat elsewhere, which still would have been disappointing. There was no inside area set up. This discriminated against non smokers and it is about time the restaurant takes that into account.

Pros: The hotel is situated in one of the best locations in genoa - walking distance to almost everything! The antiquity of the exterior of the hotel gives it a very nice vibe taking you to the old times, however the interior is not dated and decorated well.

Meliá Genova - Genoa - Building
5
9.0 Excellent (1,563 reviews)
C$ 223+
Overview Reviews
Meliá Genova is a delicious five-star boutique hotel, located in the elegant residential area of Genoa, just a short walk from the historic center. Classic and imposing on the outside, modern and elegantly decorated in a contemporary style inside, the hotel welcomes its guests in a warm atmosphere, making it the ideal location for corporate and private events, cocktails or celebrations with a refined taste. The historical building was designed by architect Giuseppe Crosa Vergagni in 1929, the same who gave life to the famous and historical Piazza De Ferrari in Genoa city center and other important buildings of the city. Many are the thematic events organized for customers during the year, a journey into the world of art, starting from the cuisine, which underlines paintings exhibitions and live music by always different artists, making Meliá not only a location but an experience to live.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast too expensive and bad quality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very nice, worth the cost. The staff were friendly. Parking is an issue, weekends are free, but weekday you can pay on pay and display. The manager Francesa was very helpful, I had booked a room with a terrace, when saw the room there was a wall that covered the view, which was disappointing, they explained they gave a King size room as I had a child. To compensate the view, they removed the parking charge. This was very kind of Francesa who was very apologetic.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall look of the hotel and very clean
Cons: Buffet Breakfast was very expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was larger than advertised in photographs.

Cons: Almost no wifi which is hard to understand
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, spacious, well equipped junior suite. Modern. Relaxing spa pool. Helpful staff. Cool.
Cons: Expensive bar and mini bar - but we asked for fridge to be cleared so we could restock from Coop over the road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel in a peaceful location.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel staff was friendly aside from the gentleman I spoke on the phone, and the hotel was clean.
Cons: Given this is a 5-star hotel I was pretty shocked to realize there was only cold water available in the first morning of my stay, which translated in a cold shower and shave. This was my first experience of such a case despite having attended about 150-200 business hotels all over the world. I was even more surprised to see that the hotel had not a single iron available, urging me to attend the congress without wrinkled shirts. I think that such problems (negative experiences) can always happen (although I have to admit it was a bad coincidence to find out about 2 uniquely experienced grievances during my first morning). However, the way how the gentleman at the reception handled my surprise & complaint about these 2 grievances was by far the worst part of my experience. My conviction is that a 5-star hotel should definitely try to make up for such a disruptive guest experience and offer a free massage, drinks or another service such as free ironing. The location of the Melia hotel within Genova is ok but far from outstanding. The hotel has been kept clean and offers a standard breakfast. IMO the breakfast does not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel.

Hotel Continental Genova - Genoa - Building
7
8.9 Excellent (2,107 reviews)
C$ 165+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Continental Genova, you'll be centrally located in Genoa, just a 4-minute walk from Galata Maritime Museum and 11 minutes by foot from Palazzo di San Giorgio. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: Position
Cons: The old elevator is very (VERY) noisy. It's impossible not to hear it when in your room, even if you are in a room that doesn't face the hall. I asked in my online reservation that I wanted a silent room, specifying "far from elevators", and while I wasn't put in the hallway, I did not get the most "protected" room either. When asked (approx. 1 hour after arrival), the receptionist said that I should have asked before, because at the moment no more rooms where available for check-in. All in all, every other (good) feature of this hotel is overshadowed by this single shortcoming (many other reviews complain about this), which should probably push the managers to do something (but I read that they just renovated it...). PS: in terms of customers, very touristy, definitely not advisable for business
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The entirely Italian feel I was looking for! Feels like I was in one of the Bond’s movie! The facilities are old but adequate, and all the small details showed you this is a quality hotel with good history. The location is wonderful! Just across the street from the railway station but it’s not noisy. Easy access to the castle, port, museum... The stuff are professional, polite and efficient, just friendly enough..
Cons: The air conditioner is not in a good condition anymore. It works, but quite noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a very nice suit. The elevator was very nice the old fashion style, it was first time that I'd seen such a style. The location was excellent. The breakfast was not lavish but enough and nice.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Most of the tourist attractions can be reachable by walk. The room was clean, spacious, and well furnished Complimentary water and coffee were provided in the room.
Cons: The elevator is bit old and doors to be opened manually.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Poor breakfast for a 4star hotel Small reception’s area Waiting hall small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful building. Perfect location. Great value.
Cons: Nothing negative to say.
7.1 Good
Pros: Valet parking service
Cons: Air condition can not be turned off while you're not in the room. It was freezing inside in the evening when return to the room.

Pros: Wonderful staff and facilities. Always available to answer questions.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Central - convenient for railway station and all sights within walking distance. Rooms well equipped with bottled water and a kettle. Restaurants close by as well as bar. Hotel restaurant also good.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Perfect location to explore the city centre of Genoa. Clean rooms and extremely helpful staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff here provided the best customer service we have seen over 3 months of travelling in Europe and 10 months of travel in Australia. I emailed in advanced asking advice on an English speaking Physiotherapist. The reply I got didn’t just give me a name but preempted my next move by providing a possible appointment time as well. All booked with no stress to me and within walking distance from the hotel. When we arrived I felt like we were coming home. All of the staff were lovely, in particular Nicole and Cinzia. They booked us a great restaurant on our first night and provided details on other options. Rooms are. Good size. Clean. Excellent breakfast choice. Free tea and coffee during the day. Excellent location. We were sad to leave
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff are really nice and approachable. The bed is comfortable. Location is superb. Loved the shower. Very clean!
Cons: There was an annoying buzzing heard in my room. Especially in the corner of the room where my pillow was. Must have been something in the hallway or neighbouring room. Had to sleep on the other side of bed so that I would hear it less and manage to fall asleep. Although everything else is good, it is a bit pricey for such a small room with rather old-fashioned furniture.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good
Cons: i liked everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great hotel with its stylish rooms and hall. The staff is amazing and very kind. The place where the hotel is was just perfect for moving into the city by foot.

Pros: Excellent hotel in the heart of Genova, only a few steps from Palazzo Ducale, San Lorenzo and Via Garibaldi. We appreciated the welcoming staff, the clean and spacious room and bathroom, and the very rich and high quality breakfast (great price of 8 euros per person). The hotel also has a fitness centre and a spa. It is located in a romantic area of Genova, and the room had a great view over the city roofs. The area around the hotel is safe, full of restaurants and cocktail bars, and well connected to the Genova railway station Parco Principe through the bus and metro.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Room was clean good size. Breakfast was very good, but we thought it was included but was told we booked through bookings .com so it was not included? Have to take their word for it at this stage, will check it out later.
Cons: The shower was tiny and the door was so small I am glad I could get in but many people now days would not. The view was a wall so we kept the roller shutters down, felt like solitary confinement. The lift was about 1mt. square so two cases and two people was a squeeze , lucky we do not suffer from claustrophobia. Trying to even call the lift was a joke as every time on the first day it was full when it arrived ,that means three people. We ended up using the stairs!

Pros: The host was lovely and welcoming. She gave us great recommendations about places to go, and the BandB was charming.
Cons: It’s a little far out from most of the interesting areas of the city.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality, amazing welcome and 1st class breakfast. Great location too, 5min walk from main train station and 10min walk to centre of Genoa. Highly recommended!
Cons: Shared bathroom, but couldn't be helped given the building!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super centrally located and very friendly and helpful staff. Really felt like home!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The staff was helpful.
Cons: There was bugs in the room. The hotel staff told that it happened for the first time but there was many bugs in different size and they appeared late in the evening. Our room has been immediately changed. It is an old building newly restored. Thus it is not a big surprise to have such visitors but it was a bad experience. The passage street(?) from the main road to the hotel parking place was very very narrow. If you have a SUV or you are bad at parking you should reconsider to use their parking place.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Very clean, calm hotel with an incredibly friendly hostess
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really friendly and accommodated all our requests as best as they could. The room was comfortable and had a nice design. Cleaning service was exceptional, all my mess magically disappeared :)
Cons: Not having an elevator was a little inconvenient with the bags but otherwise everything was good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Was very close to the train station, and the personal was very kind and help us with the information
Cons: The air conditione work only on 26 , we also stay with the window open but finaly was ok.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was very nice. The room was very clean although the walls were very thin. However, the street parallel to the street of the hotel wasn’t nice at all it should be avoided at all costs. There are many other routes that can be used as the hostess will explain. The location is very good it is in the center of the city.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel location friendly owner
Cons: No breakfast and charge for parking is crazy.i could have got another hotel for the same price and it included breakfast and free parking.this is a rip off
9.6 Excellent
Pros: - Excellent staff. Lady behind the reception was very helpful and friendly. - Clean rooms. - The private parking spot was very nice to have! - The airconditioning is a big plus in the summer - Excellent price/value
Cons: - There're no facilities for eating. But hey, you're in a 2 star hotel. The value of the place is amazing. Also, there are tons of amazing Italian restaurants in the neighbourhood. - We have a small car and had no trouble to park the car. If you have a big (wide) car it might be difficult to get to the parking. The street to the hotel is very narrow.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, cozy retreat from the city. Very central location.
Cons: A bit hot in the room.. Ac definitely helped but not fully comfortable. Asked for double bed and got two twin beds.
7.5 Good
Pros: No food facilities on the property but plenty of restaurants around the location. We didn't really stay long in Genoa so could not really comment on the area or facilities. The area seemed fine around the hotel, although some side streets were a little dingy. The walk to the waterfront was not too far and the facilities and restaurants there were good.
Cons: No food facilities on the property. Very hot walking up the stairs with rucksacks.

Pros: Amazing experience with excellent, fun, friendly, and helpful staff. Will definitely stay again if I make it back to Genova. Thanks you guys!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location was perfect! breakfast was great and the staff was kind!
Cons: for some people who prefer to sleep in quietness might seem a little bit noisy
5.8 Okay
Pros: The stuff is super friendly , location is quite good
Cons: There were BEDBUGS in my bed! I got bitten for two nights so had two terrible nights sleep ! The hostel is NOT clean. It should be cheaper for what it is
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 1. Located in the city center. Just 20 min walk to the train stations 2. Clean spaces 3. Kitchen and food 4. Stuff was nice
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice helpful staff, and good breakfast. Reception open 24 h hours.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hostel team is really friendly and welcoming. When I checked in I got a map with tips where to go. The room had fans for a hot summer night.
Cons: I guess the bathroom has a little mold problem but other than that it was clean.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Bedbugs and one shower without hot water. A hostel is a place to sleep. I couldn't sleep.
Cons: Imagine several people in the room, scratching in the night because of bedbugs. Is it easy to sleep? What would be a good idea to improve? We killed 2 bedbugs, I've made a video of them. Others were biting us all night. Honestly, I think a good improvement would be to close everything for a while, through away all that old matresses and dusty pillows and make a good desinfection. And then clean the showers and make them working with hot water also. But yeah, I have a doubt.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very welcoming and suggested places to go and food to eat. The bed was comfortable and the washrooms were clean. Location is perfect for exploring the city on foot and is also close to the train station.
Cons: The metal bed frames were a bit squeaky
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is perfect just in the center of the town you can go walking everywhere. I’ve slept in the room of 12 beds. No curtains on the top beds and a little bit hot just fans no AC. Breakfast is ok nothing fancy. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Worth it for the price you pay. Stuff is so nice and help you with everything!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Both the room and bathroom were very clean, friendly staff at the desk even when checking in at 1am. Close distance to the airport, simple arrangements for the shuttle bus on our way out.
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel was modern and clean. Our flight arrived late, so it was a good solution until the rental car office opened the following day. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was quite nice (with a rain drop shower). Breakfast was decent.
Cons: The decor in the lobby is a little insipid and the hotel is located in an industrial zone. It is only 5 minutes from the airport.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful! Food was Amazing!!! Had breakfast in bed one morning
Cons: No complaints.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room service tagliatelle ragu was amazing, highly recommend. Air conditioning worked really well.
Cons: We were not asked if we wanted a smoking or non smoking room/floor. As non-smokers and finding we were on a smoking floor was rather unpleasant.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Bom pequeno-almoço almoço.
Cons: We're a couple with 2 children. We booked a room for 4 and they gave us a room for 3. We had to change rooms 3 times! When finally we were on a room for 4, there were only towels for 2.....
7.1 Good
Pros: Comfort and cleaness and breakfast
Cons: Water from the shower on the floor
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We intentionally wanted to stay in a hotel next to the airport, as we had an early flight back, and we only spent one day in Genoa. We stayed for two nights in the hotel and it was a nice experience. Naturally, had we stayed in the city for more than one day we would pick a hotel next to the city center, although a bus from the hotel to the city was relatively easy and quick (25min) so not too much of a hassle. The price was pretty high, and actually much more expensive than I would assumed a hotel next to a airport should charge, but the hotel itself - staff, rooms, breakfast, free shuttle to the airport, etc. - are all very good.
Cons: It's impossible to improve the location... and the price was expensive so even if we get back I doubt we will stay in this hotel again.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quality of bed and quiteness
Cons: It's very close to airport but unreachable walking because of motorway. So taxi is necessary and almost the same price as downtown
7.9 Good
Pros: Tall gentleman at front desk,I think Mauricio, not sure was a professional who you would expect to see a a high high end European hotel. Extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Hotel very clean, good shuttle, good staff. not there for the area but perfect for going out the next day at the airport. Made for a very easy shuttle and a convenient breakfast. Would return

9.2 Excellent
Pros: It is a small hotel very well located if you intend to visit the Aquarium of Genova. It is in a walking distance of harbor attractions.
Cons: The hotel doesn’t have a very large common area. If it is raining, you will have to stay in the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel with really friendly staff. Breakfast was good and also good value.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: poor view no parking no drop off point small room
Cons: all the above
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location and helpful staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very helpful staff, tidy and clean room, excellent breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Close to the aquarium and good shopping. Clean rooms and comfortable beds
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's a really nice hotel, with modern rooms and very clean. Really great breakfast !!!. Very close to Genova Marine and Aquarium. The staff was very kind and helpful.
Cons: Really small rooms especially for a 5-bed room. The fifth bed was a folding one instead of a normal one. Rooms are small, and there was no room for our suitcases. The hotel is at a nice place (historical center and marine) but everything is so dirty all around. Most of the people around are immigrants and you feel really unsafe.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good location & spotlessly clean
Cons: Staff were noticeably less fabulous than elsewhere on this holiday. There are 2 PCs in the lobby. I could not get either one to work for me. So I spoke to the girl on reception. ‘They don’t work’ was the only reply I received. I really needed to use one for 10 minutes to check a work issue. I asked if there was another PC. No, was the reply. Other than that (major) issue.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly receptionists. Very helpful with location of other areas of interest. Very helpful with parking instructions. Fantastic hot and cold breakfast buffet for the 4 Euro.
Cons: It took me a few trips in the car (1/4 mile loops) to find the correct parking lot. But I finally did. The BW gives you a partner rate of 18 Euro in an otherwise more expensive 24 hour lot.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing breakfast (please try the Bel Paese cheese!), great staff, spacious room, dark and quiet
Cons: Fixed shower head, secluded location and rather acoustic hallways

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff and cleaness
Cons: The room view
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: The front end staff. Having no service for food other than a buffet for breakfast. We could not even get a slice of toast unless we paid 17 euros!!! Pretty pathetic that they don’t give you any other options. I thought the room was dark and dingy and had horrible lighting. The lobby and elevator was dirty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Location.

Pros: Very good breakfast. Personnels very kind and helpful.
Cons: It was raining all day :-(
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast (just everything you need), close by the city center with all the public transport and sightseeing places even in walking distance, and great stuff who is always willing to help. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would book the hotel again. .
Cons: There is nothing to complain about. You will encounter the NH global standard.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super breakfast! Perfect location! Nice hotel ! All wishes were taken into account . Will recommend!
Cons: pillows are like a stone, shower without bathtub, the bath room was after shower complete wet. The room was changed on the 1.flow because of bad Internet on 5. flow, but that room had a normal bathtub. So one compromise: good wi fi but without bathdoors)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast with fresh food from the territory, friendly staff, 100% accessible for disabled people
Cons: The adjacent square can’t be crossed safely without climbing stairs
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Room was very dated with a very uncomfortable roll away type bed and a broken bathroom window shutter. Reception at check in was unhelpful and resulted in a long delay before I was finally allocated a clean room with a reasonable quality bed.

Pros: Really handy being opposite the station And easy to walk into the centre and the Porto Antico. Room was comfy and immaculate Ate in the trattoria attached which was excellent Fabulous pianist in the downstairs lounges
Cons: Our room had no view I personally hate all the brown curtains Bath/ shower could do with a handle to get in and out .
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Very few aspects we liked, in fact for a 5 start hotel too few; breaksfast, cleaness and restaurant staff.
Cons: The reception staff were very blaze, preferred to chat between them and handling paperwork rather than speak and exchange with us. The valet service: we waited very long, unecessary painful for this 5star hotel. It is not a 5star place, not sure we can recommend it further. Room service phoned back after 30minutes from ordering, saying they are too busy - so cancel the order for our daughter. I appreciate if the hotel management replies to this feedback, however it is too little too late.
7.7 Good
Pros: Good bathroom, comfortable bed, courteous & helpful staff.Breakfast was a good experience and the food and service at the trattoria is excellent.Pity the water shortage meant the spa was shut.
Cons: The first room:TV and bedside lamp did not work. The second room layout had not been well thought out to enable easy use of the available facilities.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast ever. About 8 different sorts of milk and several freshly pressed juices. Additionally you are able to sit outside at the terrassse and enjoy the light and colors of water, hills and houses. There was a problem with warm water, but they solved it quiet fast. Good location to go for a walk in the old town or along the Harbour, as well as getting to metro or by taxi to the Airport.
Cons: Price was a bit high, but since there was a conference nearby this was reasonable. Even when it was solved fast, just cold water in the morning is quiet uncomfortable if you have a meeting to reach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and large rooms with good bed. Even gad a veranda with harbour view. Modern hotel on top level. In walking distance to old harbour and old town of Genua. Very reasonable prices. Overall a very good experience.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Nice decor, comfortable bed, great breakfast. Easy walk to the city centre, just across the road from the ferry terminal.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and spacious family room with a separated bunk bed area for the kids. Bed was a king (but a bit stiff and we like a firmer mattress).
Cons: Lack of basic amenities like ice buckets and ice machine and microwaves. Although you could get ice from the bar it was only 1 cup at a time and they would not provide an ice bucket. There is a very small mini fridge but it is stuffed with paid items and provides inefficient cooling anyway. Breakfast buffet was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the 15 euro surcharge if not included in your booking. Supposed hot items were all cold even when just brought out from the kitchen. Overall did not meet our expectations based on stays at other holiday inns in Europe and North America.

Cons: Paid breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and clean. Good wifi connection and very accessible. Very good breakfast and staff helpful
Cons: not enough plugs to charge my mobile and tablet
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was great, right next to the piazza and attractions. Restaurants around the hotel was ok too - some are just rude tho, looked like they were just sick of tourists. Breakfast was pretty good, fruits, yogurt, coffee, variety of breads, egg & bacon etc. Was good! Checking in and out was easy enough. The bathroom was well equipped. Overall a good overnight stay with 2 kids ♡
Cons: Dated, bed were so old and can feel the springs but clean. The aircon is so old too and very noisy.. but worked well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had varieties of items for breakfast and so tasty it was.
Cons: no comments
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was nice approx 200 meter from the station 2-3 mins walk
Cons: Breakfast is horrible and most reviews stating it’s nice but honestly it’s super poor, noisy and bad. I regret not going to another hotel and eat breakfast outside
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was very handy for access to places required such as aquarium. Breakfast was great selection although stronger 'English breakfast' tea-bags would have been better. Staff throughout very friendly and helpful. The restaurant for the evening meal was good value and lovely staff.
Cons: In the apartment we were in it was quite hot on the top area/bedroom as the air conditioning didn't seem to reach us. A separate unit would have been better for there. Also items from the minibar were missing (not that we needed them) but reported it so we didn't get the blame for them,
6.2 Good
Pros: The reception people was very helpful and nice.
Cons: The room was small and the queen bed was made with two individual mattress, it is uncomfortable because you feel the division
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to the main train station and the room was quite with a good size.
Cons: TV was too small.
6.0 Good
Pros: very close to the center of the city and the train station
Cons: Very, very hard to find with GPS and a good sense of direction. Small hotel signage at the end of a busy one way street - with very limited parking. Good if you are walking or taking a cab - nightmare if you are driving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: i did late check in and it was ok, did reservation 2 hours before arriving
Cons: I put the sign out of the room “do not disturb “ but the cleaning lady knocked the door! in my case was not a big deal but if someone has headache or something, can be bothering .
7.5 Good
Pros: Solid, dependable hotel, nothing special but close to rail station and staff helpful.
