The rooms are spacious and clean and it is quite cheap especially for Guayaquil.
Would be nice to have breakfast included as the area is not great for finding desayuno. This is my least favourite part of Guayaquil, the market is pretty hectic, as soon as the Malecon ends it's a completely different look and smell to Guayaquil. At night everything is locked up with only the homeless and prostitutes around it's not a great place to be. As everything is shut it is quite quiet outside, inside however there's a lot of noise from children, TV's, music and people late at night and early morning so not great for sleeping
Stayed the one night before an early flight. Clean, comfortable & affordable.
staff were friendly, room was really large with airconditioning. wifi worked really well, good value for money.
location was a little bit sketchy to be walking around at night time but there are a couple of restaurants quite close by, shower had luke warm water but no pressure, only a fitted sheet on the bed.
Clean and a good sized room.
The hot water was not turned on. Could use another night stand.
We spent 2 nights at hotel Jira and had a pleasant experience there. The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel and rooms are very basic but great value for the low price. Our room didn’t have hot showers but it was not a problem as the temperature averaged the 30 degrees when we were in Guayaquil! However, the air con unit worked perfectly and that was more than essential! The area in which the hotel is located seemed a bit rough and was a bit loud at night (we didn’t mind but thought we’d let other travellers know). Overall a good hotel if you’re looking for a comfortable yet cheap option in Guayaquil.
